Unfortunately that is so true small knives like this are really rare within an EDC. I have started gravitating towards the smaller Knives only because they’re so light to carry and they have so many useful tools.
Interesting clip.. i have a pinstripe Director, mine is just stamped Victorinox probably as i am in Europe..and Hoffritz was a US importer.. but on mine it has two nail files, the small blade is a file with the dimple type file, the larger one is like yours with the cross cut and the nail cleaner on the end.. the scissors are the double spring with the guide groove so i assume mine is 80s period maybe.
I actually have a few of those videos produced already so take a look in my video catalog and you’ll find them. I have about 20 videos where I discuss and refurbish pocket knives.
I have vintage exec that is in very good condition. There are a few nicks that I would like to clean up as well as polish the scales. Any advice, I am searching here on TH-cam but cannot seem to find anything specific to the executive knives. Much appreciated
I’m selling the younger one for about $120 The older for $180 In this condition they can demand that price. However in rough or broken condition, expect about $30-$90 to be paid.
What a magnificent find Mark. Two Director's from different era's. Some small differences that they made, very nice to be able to compare them.
Really cool find! These vintage Victorinox knives are cool. Definitely evokes a sense of class and civility that is unfortunately not in style today.

Me, too! Just found it today.
it would be nice to see a video of the type of cleaning and maintenance that you do on these vintage knives
