My number one mistake is going too fast. It is hard to slow down! Also, I try to write without guides, but I really need them. You should do SkillShare courses. I am subscribed and have been taking a lot of courses on a variety of art topics. I took a few on hand lettering and none are anywhere near as good as the video you did where you color coded the strokes. For me, that was so helpful in getting more consistency in my lettering. That is the video where I figured out I was supposed to lift my pen. I never knew that. Also, I use your brush a lot. In one of the snippets in this video (around timestamp 1:55) you were writing out the days of the week and you were writing Monday with a brush that writes in white but outlines in speckles. What brush is that?

I love all your tutorials. Just curious is your accent from Australia? I keep hearing ‘littering’ instead of ‘lettering’. I think we are used to pronouncing ‘e’ with ‘a’ sound but super interesting that you are actually saying ‘e’ sound literally.

Hello there I am new to procreate and for some reason my stylus is not letting me make the wide strokes going down and the thin strokes going up when I am using your practice sheet can you tell me what I am doing wrong? I’m feeling a bit discouraged
I would get procreate but my mom said she don’t want a mistake to happen again when I got goodnotes 5 and they kept charging my mom so I can’t get procreate:(
Oh no! That is so sad 😭 Procreate is a one off purchase, so your mom doesn’t have to worry about getting charged multiple times. I really hope you will be able to convince her to get the app for you - you’ll love it so much!
