The theme song is the only thing i love about this cartoon. Done by stewart copeland of the police with back up vocals by sting!
The later episodes get better more star wars-y. Also the art was more inspired by mobius because at the time george lucas was really into the artist.

I remember Star Wars Droids. At the time, i didnt like the cartoony way that C3po and Artoo deetoo were drawn or animated and I didn't care much the juvenile storylines either that seemed to be for toddlers. As for the gun aspect, well they used laser guns on both GIJOE and Transformers in which never seemed to ever hit anyone. It wasn't until many years later in which i saw the 1978 Star Wars holiday special cartoon segment did i recognize the same style of overly cartoony animation that was used in this dreaded cartoon. I remember giving up on it preferring for more mature adult cartoons like GIJOE, Transformer or even Spiderman and His amazing friends which I can still watch and enjoy this day.

I'll admit that the style has grown on me over times, but I also preferred G.I. Joe and Transformers back in the day.
