Oscar Macintyre I’d really love to see that, I’d like to think it’d be called the Luke and Sky Smith Adventures given how Sarah Jane adopted them both, but I suppose the Luke Smith Adventures makes more sense. For one thing, what I’d really like to see first is if Luke being a boy genius would invent his own sonic device; a screwdriver of his own or a pen and for Rani to take possession of Sarah Jane’s sonic lipstick, I’d imagine it should go to Sky, but Rani used it a few times throughout the show and Sky has her own special powers anyway.
The Actress that played Sky Smith is Sinead Michael I loved the Sarah Jane Adventures Liz was a brilliant actress and still missed almost 10 years on x
Also weird seeing Maria AND Sky, they were literally seasons apart from each other, while I think Yasmin and Ang could've briefly met during the switchover in Series 2...
Well, this video brought a tear to my eye. When they held the owl up (that featured in the parting shot of Sarah leaving the 4th Doctor, and him saying that he would never forget her and he didn't!) a lump came to my throat and, I realised that after all these years, I still miss Liz Sladen. RIP Liz xxx
It’s just so beautiful, I wish I could have been there, and I have to say it’s amazing to see almost the whole cast there, even Yasmin Paige (Maria) was there, and I have to say, they all look the same, maybe a bit older but Tommy Knight a.k.a. Luke especially, he hasn’t aged at all. Finally, to know that the show is still so loved and the memory and legacy of Elizabeth Sladen still lives on as Sarah Jane Smith and is honoured by fans of the show all around the world, may she rest in peace but look down upon her cast, crew and fans with pride.
I grew up on Sarah Jane Adventures the same time I watched Doctor Who, and I still enjoy it to this day. This looks like it was such a fun event! I hope I get the chance to meet these guys some day.
Who can remember the first adventure of Sarah Jane Smith the doctor and the stories that followed this remarkable companion who brought her smile and know how to become her own hero and loved by her fans and the fans ever after we miss that special smile and get and go of Sarah Jane Smith the first time and last time but very much of our time from the early days to her greatest Adventures as a mother and mystery solver a Time Lady yes but more her story is but the beginning her adventures retold but not gone and never forgotten it was fantastic Sarah Jane Smith you are a Star
It looked like it was a fun event to attend! I really enjoyed the Sarah Jane Adventures and I'm still glad it's celebrated with events like this and now that it's characters have branched into things like Big Finish!
For those unaware, the cast/crew breakdown in the description and their relevance to The Sarah Jane Adventures is as follows: Tommy Knight - Luke Smith (regular cast-member Series 1-3, guest member Series 4-5) Anjli Mohindra - Rani Chandra (regular cast-member Series 2-5) Yasmin Page - Maria Jackson (regular cast-member Series 1, guest member Series 2) Sinead Michael - Sky Smith (regular cast-member Series 5) Mina Anwar - Gita Chandra (regular cast-member Series 2-5) John Leeson - K9 (voice only, regular cast-member Series 3, guest member Series 4) Paul Marc Davis - The Trickster (recurring villain, appears in Series 1-3) Cheryl Rowlands - Nun (Series 1, "Eye Of The Gorgon", uncredited) Brian Miller - Harry Sowersby (guest star Series 3, "The Mad Woman In The Attic"), widower of Elisabeth Sladen Katy Manning - Jo Grant (former companion of The Third Doctor, guest star Series 4, "Death Of The Doctor") Richard Wisker - George Woods (guest star Series 4, "Lost In Time") Phil Ford - writer/producer (Series 1-5) Gary Russell - writer/script editor (Series 2-5), also handled novelisations of several episodes ("Warriors Of Kudlak", "The Lost Boy", "The Last Sontaran", "Death Of The Doctor") Joe Lidster - writer (episodes: "Mark Of The Berserker", "The Mad Woman In The Attic", "The Nightmare Man") Sam Watts - composer (Series 1-5) Scott Handcock - author/director (Audiobook "The Shadow People") Mat Irvine - visual effects specialist (worked primarily on classic Doctor Who, also worked on Doctor Who reboot and other BBC shows such as Blake's 7 and classic Robot Wars) Chris Johnson - former CBBC presenter, appeared in a CBBC extra Sarah Jane Adventure as himself
Wow! Sarah Jane Adventures is just amazing! I love the show so much! It all happened and it would’ve be the same without Elizabeth Sladen. She’s the reason I love the show! She was a fantastic actress and all the other actors on the show were amazing!! I love the show so much and I’m so happy to see all the cast in this lovely video. Would love to meet the cast. ❤️
Gods, One of the things that I love is that this fandom is still together, we still love the same show, I grew up watching this series, and I just got the entire series on dvd as a present got Christmas, so that I can watch it when I go to collage in September, And I realised that I still remember most of the episodes, It has been so long since I've watched the series but I've never stopped loving it
I wanted to go this event so badly but it clashed with my holiday plans but then my holiday ended up being cut short due to awful circumstances and I will forever regret not taking the chance to go to this event instead. Such a lovely event and great way to pay homage to the series and Elisabeth Sladen. :)
So this was the 10 year anniversary since The Sarah Jane Adventures had started on television. Can you all believe that a year from now in next April, 2021 it will mark 10 years since Elizabeth Sladen passed away, do you think the cast of the show here: Tommy Knight (Luke), Sinead Michael (Sky), Yasmin Paige (Maria), Anjili Mohindra (Rani) and Daniel Anthony (Clyde who sadly wasn’t there) will all get together again along with other beloved members of the cast who guest starred i.e. Katy Manning (Jo grant) and those who knew Liz from her time in Doctor Who and the crew to remember and honour her memory?
I loved being at this so much. It was the reason, along with the soon to be closed at the time DWE , that I first went to Wales. I think everyone did Lis, and the series, so well. What a wonderful, and so emotional day.
As sad as I was to hear of the passing of Elizabeth Sladen, a part of me had hoped the series would continue, with Katy Manning taking over the main role. Not sure how well it would have worked, but it would have been epic to have Jon Pertwee's two main companions (with all due respect to the late Caroline John), have their latter day renaissance.
Emotional watching this😭wish I was a lucky kid to go and see this when it was on, sadly I live in Glasgow. Though Sarah-Jane and the gang are forever in my heart and soul! Wish I could meet them lol❤️
How I wish I had been at this event and if I had I would have sen Gary Russell again for the first time since the Blake,s Seven convention we met at in 2007
IDEA: Now that Sadie Miller (Sladen's daughter) has agreed to voice Sarah Jane for Big Finish, would it be appropriate if they completed Series 5 in animated form with Miller's voice?
They should bring everyone back for a one-off in memory. To show us what the characters are up to now. In Sarah’s name they’re all still saving the earth from aliens with Mr.Smith? Maybe Maria has moved back to Ealing and has rejoined the gang? Maybe Clyde and Rani finally got together, maybe they’ve met the Doctor a few more times since. Sure today’s kids wouldn’t remember the show or care, but we would. Personally I’d love for any one of them to appear on Doctor Who or maybe become a full companion.
Has anyone else noticed on the back of the Sarah Jane adventures dvd set it says under series 5 that the star child (sky) was placed in Sarah janes care by THE DOCTOR but this was never mentioned in the episode? Is it a typo?
Sky Smith has grown up so fast nice to see Sinead Micheal came for the reunion what happens, Danil Anthony, he is there why wasn't or isn't Sadie Miller on hand to talk signature of here mother
I wish the BBC to either to Russel T Davis for one-off--episode of the Sarah Jane file or the adventures of Sarah Jane Children's either I want to watch if it happens that is
Amazing. On the one hand I'm gutted I never heard about and thus missed this. But on the other, if I'd been in the same room as Jo Grant and Rani at the same time I'd have jizzed and disgraced myself. So it's probably just as well.
The man on the left in the black shirt is Chris Johnson who used to be a presenter on CBBC and he was part of the second Time Team in Doctor Who Magazine
Sooo sad Elizabeth Sladen has died she would of loved it.
Yeah I was thinking the same just sad not to see her R.I.P.
The cast must rlly miss her
Luke Smith Adventures please. Make it happen.
That could be really interesting actually. I'd give it a watch.

The reason the series got cancelled is because Elisabeth Sladen passed away.

Yes
an SJA reunion convention without Elisabeth Sladen is the most bittersweet thing... it's her show... and she couldn't be there.
