I made this the other day. It's very tasty and filling. I gave some to my son, who also loved it and sent a big heart in the his text message. I love how your foods use ingredients I usually have on hand and are so easy to make.
This soup is like a warm hug at the end of the day! 😍🌟 I love the idea of making the rice so flavorful and comforting. Makes me want to eat it in my pajamas while watching a movie! 🍲💖 No way this can go wrong, it’s going to be my new comfort food! 😋 Who else here also thinks food has the power to warm the soul? 🔥
I have yet to make anything you have shown that didn't turn out just wonderfully!! My brother makes your cod dish at least once a week, and always for guests! I just made chicken soup so my freezer is filling up! Thank you for your talent & kindness. We need that more than ever.
Gracias Albert for another great recipe. I realise that I use rice only in asian dishes or risotto, but its so much more versatile. Here in Switzerland, its also soup season :-). My favorite at the moment is red lentil and spinach soup. Served with some gruyere cheese (it could also be manchego, or any other hard and salty cheese) and some crispy fresh bread, it makes a tasty, simple and healthy meal.
It's 9.40 am here in Australia 🇦🇺 it's already 35 degrees Celsius so hot but I love soup all year round filling easy to make and so healthy ❤❤😊😊don't forget the crusty bread to dip ❤❤😊😊
Thanks for the great recipe! I’m Japanese, but Sopa de arroz is somehow my parents’ favorite menu that brings back their memories. They say there was a Mexican restaurant in Tokyo and enjoyed the meal there like.. 50years ago. I’ll cook it for them! My parents always tell me that “ Ah we’d like to have ‘sopa de arosu’ *japanese pronounciarion again… “
Albert: Delicious. Again, I've made (something very much) like this before - I just didn't know it had a *_"name"_* ... 😋Making it more like yours next time. Thanks again. (Fan from San Francisco, California.) *!!~
I hope you don’t mind, but I added two stalks of celery and four small mushrooms to the sofrito for added taste. I also threw in some Five Spice along with the Cumin and Thyme. Also a pinch of Golden Saffron threads. My daughter says it smells like Spanish rice.
We ALL have moments of sheer smart and ultra dumb - InI cook fairly well but I have days that are super efficient.. then other times I am ready to start all, but wait..oh crap I don’t have the protein..jeez... Rethink, Open fridge..scrounge😢 around…try something else - And often ya make an interesting combo that makes your mouth and soul smile. 😎 Surviving life and cooking are very, very very similar - both are not a science but an art…and inventive simple cooking makes a lsoul even more happy.
@@kristinessTX well..he said “heat the oil in the pan..then, chop this, chop that, bla bla..” at the speed of most home cooks, you’d have an oil fire, lol.. If you’re in Tx, I went to Spring Branch High..many moons ago…when it was still a high school..lol..
Will you permit me to make a constructive comment? This may be heart healthy but I cannot eat it because it has far too much salt in it. But making a few simple substitution, you can cut out a significant amount of sodium. Instead of adding salt, leave it out. Instead of canned tomatoes use low sodium equivalent. As you are going tnrough the recipe, you can say "if you are low sodum make the following substitue" promote it as you normally do, but add "with reduced sodium version" this opens you up to a whole new category of potential viewers. When i search for reduced sodium recipes, your video will pop up

@@SpainonaFork Thank you!
I love parsnips, they're sweet and a bit spicy. I roast them and put them in soups and stews. Do you have any Spanish parsnip recipes?
I don't, but will look into it :) much love
Does the lemon clash with the other seasonings? Have you tried sage instead of thyme?
It's a cold 10 degrees here in Tennessee today so this sounds perfect for lunch!❤😊
About the same in Alabama. Great recipes on this channel!
It's 7:39AM Pacific Time as I post this. It's 47°F in San Francisco, but it *_FEELS_* like 10°F.🥶
It's a balmy 8°, with a windchill of -9° here in southeast Michigan. That soup looks like a winner on a day like this! 🥶
Stay warm! Much love :)
Ha ha I'm in Gallatin TN love neighbor
Is Arborio rice a good sub if I don't have any Spanish round rice?
Absolutely! Much love :)
Looks delicious, but I'd also add celery and fresh thyme
Sounds great! Much love :)
Making this today in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Its gonna be -4F today and -12F tomorrow 😅

Home cooks should be encouraged to do all the prep or mise en place before heating oil on the stove..aside from that picky criticism, nice recipe!
I didn’t catch him advising otherwise. But home cooks are not necessarily incompetent at multitasking.

It really depends on the stove, pan and heat...
I hate seeing people waste water when they are rinsing vegetables. Collect the water & use it in your garden.
