These cards were so stunningly beautiful. 💗✨🙌🏼 I love watching you paint, watercolour, Copic colour, basically ANY colouring because you always talk through your process and show a close up. It makes us feel like we can achieve this result at home with our own supplies - and then even better you include links to a few examples of similar card techniques at the end. ⭐️👌🏼I bet most of these we’ve all already seen but if we’re practicing techniques then at least we don’t have to go looking for them! I always forget that I can take paintbrush to pencil. 😁🤨
Great tutorial. Love how you took color from the pencil and mixed it with white paint and also mixed them with water and blended colors. Thanks I love everything I learn from you. Great cards, by the way!
Lovely cards, Kristina! I never realized you can paint watercolor over gouache and have it "stick." Good to know! You could also "paint" over colored cardstock (or even patterned paper) with a transparent watercolor ground, if you wanted to use more water in your paints. I've done that with black cardstock for metallic watercolors, and even to alter the color of patterned paper with regular watercolor, and it works great! Thank you so much for sharing these. Take care, & have a fabulous day! :)
Those are really pretty! I was not very sure about the circle one when you first started and it was mostly white but I love how you added more color on to it. You always know when to keep adding and when to stop. Oh and I forgot to tell you in the last video love the purple nail polish!
I love your watercoloring. ❤️I love how you go with one color and then show how easy it is to darken or change it if you want a different shade. Beautiful cards. Love them both but the color on black cardstock is quite stunning. Thank you for sharing!
Absolutely beautiful as usual! I love that fact you are using minimal supplies, and creating such beautiful cards! Thank you again for all the wonderful ideas! I always look forward to everyone of your videos coming out! You are truly amazing Kristina!😀💗👍🏼
You're such a big inspiration for me since I found your channel years ago. That even brought me back to painting. Thank you! The cards look both wonderful, I like how you put in contrast in your cards. They look both simple and elaborate at the same time. It's gorgeous work!
When I make a card like the round one, i add another full circle to the card base then put on your featured stamped pc. This way you don't see the flat part of your circle. Both cards are beautiful.
Mesmerizing to see your watercolor technique! I also so appreciate the way you edit all of your videos to give us exactly what is needed to demo the techniques in the shortest amount of time.
I almost didn’t watch because I was sure I knew what you were going to do with the white gouache. You surprised me! Glad I did, and now I’m itching to try this!
GORGEOUSNESS!!! You ALWAYS do a magnificent job, thanks so much for the inspiration and sharing of your time & creativity, Kristina!!! Blessings & hugs!!!
Such lovely cards, Kristina! 😍 There’s a ‘clean’ feeling to your cards that is so attractive. Thank you for going into detail with the watercolor pencils. Great info for a newbie wanting to attempt watercoloring when the kit arrives! And I love your choice of chocolate brown, a very underused color of ink and cardstock...lends a softer look than black, esp for florals.
Simon says has some Carabelle masks. How do you use these designs? I think I get stencils, but the opposite? I've used simple masking material, hum just something I know you might have experience with!
OK - I learned something new!!! I never would have thought of using the wc pencils to color the white gouache for the dark paper. Love the look!! I also like the idea of taking the color directly from the tip of the pencil with a brush. Definitely gives a different look. Fabulous cards! I was on the fence about accepting this kit - I think I will now. Thank you for sharing your techniques! (Also kind of curious as to what you thought about the performance of those pencils)
Always enjoy your technique videos. I have learned so very much from them. I’d love to see how you do the inside of your cards. I always feel my interior doesn’t go with the exterior...if that makes sense. Irregardless TFS.
Thank you! I'm afraid I can't help you much on the inside of the cards, however. I keep all of mine blank in order to write a message to the recipient :)
Your videos are so good. I ordered this kit and watching this gives me confidence that I can play around with those pencils and also get decent results. Can’t wait until this comes! Question-no need to water out the pencils right away, correct? I could color at the office and add water later at home?
I'm not Kristina, but you are correct. The pigment in watercolor pencils isn't "activated" until you add water. Since it's basically a dry medium, there is no minimum time limit to adding water. In fact, you can even use them as regular colored pencils, if you don't want to blend the color out with water. I would suggest painting in layers, like Kristina did, to build up the color. Just let each layer dry (or hit it with your heat tool) before adding more color. Also, if you do that, I wouldn't recommend using a very wet brush, since it could potentially reactivate the color that's already down on the paper. Have fun painting! :)
Love the dimension you created on the flowers and how to use this on dark card stock with the gouache! I love using watercolor pencils and my favorite is the Derwent Inktense brand though I know it isn't truly a watercolor pencil. I normally color the paper then add water but will have to try your technique of taking the color off of the pencil with a brush. Just saw your 2012 video using the Derwent Inktense pencils. Good suggestions there too!
Your cards are always so beautiful and you are so graceful when you are painting! Such a joy to watch.

I love your water coloring cards. Can the black label sentiment be heat embossed using clear over the black ink to make it shiny?

Beautiful flowers. How to cut paper like that?
I'm excited to get this kit 😍
Nice cards Kristina. I was wondering what you think of the water color pencils in the kit.
From where u buyed all these stickers.
Absolutely stunning!! You make water coloring look so easy. Mine still looks like a 5th grader did it. LOL

😍😍😍👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻😘😘
This was really pretty until you added the black words. I think it's too harsh for such a beautiful card!
Beautiful cards.

I don't see why not.
