I agree. To be really honest, I don't ususally "watch your videos" but listen to them in a separate tab. This is one of the "principles" I've adapted to stay on course and not waste time...commenting! ;)
Being "teachable" is such a critical character trait. One that demonstrates this realizes they may not be right, is willing to question their own beliefs, and actively solicits feedback from those around them to continually improve. Great post Nathan!
Hi Nathan: Another very useful video! A couple of comments showed that many of us are curious about the process you use to summarize a book and turn that into a video summary. The process of how to summarize a book and the sub-process of intelligent highlighting are something many of us fail at and need to improve! Though your core purpose is to summarize books and share their most valuable ideas, I’m sure you’d get a lot of traffic if you could do a video on: 1) how to summarize a book 2) how to highlight intelligently as part of a summarizing strategy 3) the google doc you’ve created to articulate the principles of how to summarize a book and 4) why explaining what you have learned to others (via TH-cam video or just telling a friend) is so useful not just to the person who hears the summary, but to the person who spends the time and effort to produce the summary.
Great suggestion. I will look for the best way to deliver my knowledge on the topic in the hopes helping yourself and others refine their reading process
I need that thank you. Often times, we take big steps to get around to not have to deal with a cause of suffering rather than actually being honest with ourselves and take a look at the root cause.
I like your animations and layout! Many of us appreciate clean simplicity. It is less “busy” and distracting. The pacing of your animations is enough to keep it interesting but not excessive enough to distract. DON’T CHANGE. Your channel has grown this far so you’re doing something right :) Also really appreciate that there is no background music!
Pain + Reflection = Progress 1. Be radically open minded Ask for true feedbacks. What am i missing? How can i ger honest feedback? 2. Find the root cause:Try to fix that weakness. 3. Write your principles down: Write down principles where you suck.
Well done! I’ve read most of these books and it’s interesting that your videos give me another perspective that I didn’t necessarily get while reading. Same information, different perception and summary. And still very valuable. Love it.
Lovev's life true love Never die I know a great and powerful healer that can get back your ex or crua without delay Just forever within 48hours he helped me too immediately
Excellent - and very timely for me personally. Someone criticized your animations? I've loved them from the very first video! Thank you for all your wonderful work and all the knowledge you share with the rest of the world! I share your videos regularly with our local business book club.
I love your videos, especially when you give a little bit of your own experience and story in relation to what you’ve learned from a book 👍🏻 Can you share more about your highlighting system? It seems like your brain works in similar way to mine and I’d be really grateful to learn this from you
I found your channel last night & today (it's Sunday) I binge watched all your videos. I loved them. Your animations are great & your summaries reveal an education & understanding that makes you stand out from other TH-camrs doing book summaries. If you're looking for a Blue Ocean though, you'd help out a lot of young engineering students if you had an animated FE or PE course.
Great work! And I agree, your animation is great. Thanks for doing this and keep up the great work. Some people just want to point fingers but as the old saying states: when you point fingers, remember that it's one finger pointing towards to the other and 3 pointing back to you!
Really enjoyed this - thank you. I read the book a couple of years ago but have a hard time recalling the core of the book, so this is a perfect way to recap.
I learn better book ideas when you connect these ideas with your life experience and have example about it (like change highlighting system and find the solution for Coming to the meeting late) please do this in your future videos
You're doing great work! I have very few TH-cam channels I subscribe to and also turn on notifications for. You are in that group because I love watching every video you make.
Great summary Nathan. I am currently struggling with creating videos because it takes me a lot of time. I wonder how long it took you to create a video at the beggining and how long does it take you now when you have more experience and probably some great systems in place?
my question as I watch this video is, can "Physical" pain plus reflection equal progress. I'm speaking for someone who's putting in hours and hours in a job where they need that money to either clear a debt or maybe work on their credit or maybe even use that money for smart investments that will make them even more money in the future? this is all a question btw.
Can you please share your book summary principle with me. I have recently read some books however without some set system I think I am not able use the lessons learned from them.
I would be interested in your book summary process as well. If you decide not to build a video series on this topic, a copy of your Google Doc's outline would be most appreciated. Thanks very much.
Your animations DO NOT suck! But don't let that stop you from improving. Thanks for all you do.

And he did it. Now (2020) his animations are awesome.

you are right!
I need that thank you. Often times, we take big steps to get around to not have to deal with a cause of suffering rather than actually being honest with ourselves and take a look at the root cause.
Your pace is perfect. Time to let the message sink in and truely learn.
Helpful on how to look at things.
My pace is terrible, which is why I'm working on making a system to speed it up!

I appreciate a lot your efforts on so many high-quality books as a higher-quality filter!
The service you are providing to society is commendable . I really appreciate . You are creating a win win situation for all parties involved .
Your breakdown and outlines of these productivity books are amazing. Thank you for your time and effort.
You’re adding real value to the world, thank you for these videos.
I got help from someone

Keep up the good work. Your narration is fantastic.

You have a very nice voice to follow along and your graphics are very intelligent. Congratulations.

I'm almost finished with the book but I don't know if it's me or is the book bori🤔ngly repetitive toward the end?
I learn better book ideas when you connect these ideas with your life experience and have example about it (like change highlighting system and find the solution for Coming to the meeting late) please do this in your future videos
Your animations are SUPER! I really enoy watching them and learning from them. Thank you :)
Your videos are great, sometimes comments are constructive but sometimes they are just naysayers. Thanks again for a great video

Be a hyper realist - that's the core principle I embraced...
What's your highlighting system called?
Can you please share your book summary principle with me. I have recently read some books however without some set system I think I am not able use the lessons learned from them.
Hi Shreya, I will look into building a video series on this topic for you and others who might find it helpful
Yes me too. I work in research so I have to accumulate a lot of referent sources. Love your videos!
Would love a video on the word framework analysis you use as well! A simple but powerful idea.
I second this request, it's one of my main flaws as well and new insight and feedback could help everyone :)
Thanks for the cool review
Nice! Thanks PG
Will you give out your book outline system
2:50 You need Richard Williams !!
👏🏻
Very interesting
a proverb says : learn from your mistakes
Which animation software u use bro
I would be interested in your book summary process as well. If you decide not to build a video series on this topic, a copy of your Google Doc's outline would be most appreciated. Thanks very much.
Everyone was focused until you mentioned the animation part.
I'd love to hear about your book summary system and how you go about finding the best parts. Could you make a video on that?
Nice
I just got done with his audio book, 14 cd's long.
not enough info
I’d like a copy.
I didn’t see your email information
To the viewer: you’ll be asked to pay $10 for the product. Just FYI.

I bet Ray lives on a firm schedual like a dog training themsleves, he just went too far

Stop talking about yourself!!!
I hate how you are reviewing a book with your own experience... Shit suppose to be not bias
