As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualified purchases.
Animated video summary of the top 5 greatest takeaways from Ray Dalio’s Principles: Life and Work. Advice from the founder of Bridgewater Associates, one of the largest hedge funds in the world.

Top 5 takeaways from Principles: Life and Work:
    0:00 Intro
    00:10 1. Create Principles: Systemize Your Decision-Making!
03:36 2. The 5-Step Process to Ultimate Success
    07:05 3. Be Radically Open-Minded
09:50 4. How To Handle Your Weaknesses
11:55 5. Learn How to Synthesize Well
    TL;DW:
    - To be more efficient in your decision-making process, you must create principles. Also, this is essential for evaluating and improving.
    - Have clear goals, don’t tolerate problems, diagnose problems’ root causes, design plans to get around problems and do what’s necessary to remove them
    - You must be radically open-minded - WHAT is right is far more important than WHO is
    - The best ways to cope with your weaknesses is to either try to work at them, find ways around them, or changing what you’re going after
    - Learn how to synthesize well - get as accurate of a picture of reality as possible
My goal with this channel is to help you make more money and improve your personal finances. How to become a millionaire? There are many ways to get there - investing in the stock market, becoming a stock trader, doing real estate investing, or why not becoming an entrepreneur? But whether you are interested in how to invest in stocks or investing strategies for creating passive income with rental properties - I hope to be able to provide you with a solution (or at least an idea) here. Warren Buffett - the greatest investor of our time - says that you should fill your mind with competing ideas and then see what makes sense to you. This channel is about filling your mind with those ideas. And in the process - upgrading your money-making toolbox.

Can’t get over how underrated this channel is. As a beginning investor you’ve put me on the fast track to becoming better. Love the related topics too about economics and psychology. They definitely compliment each other. I love that I can use it as an audiobook but it’s also like an adult illustrated book. Helps me know which books I want to prioritize to dive in deeper, but in the mean time I can keep the most important principles in mind during the early stages of building wealth. I will always recommend your channel.
I challenged myself to pick up graphic design so I can start an apparel side hustle. Hopefully I can scale it up to a business. I’m already making some designs. My brand “xxxx” (still have to get it copyrighted) but it’s about greatness and not just for athletes. I’ll reach out to you for a shipping address/PO box when I finally make a product I’m 100% satisfied with. It’d be an honor to pay it forward to you and hopefully get a shoutout if you like it.
    Before 2023 for accountability!

    • @julioprotzek4408
      @julioprotzek4408 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

Ray Dalio is still writing his book on Economic and Investment Principles, so if you are searching for finance/investment advice, Principles is not the book you are looking for. He wrote a great book about Debt Crisis recently that makes financial crisis like 2008 and the current crisis easier to understand and be prepared for, you might want to take a look at that one. About the Principles book, all I can say is that although calling it "self help" might be technically correct, it’s far from covering how grounded and impactful it is. Those principles drive Bridgewater’s management, the largest hedge fund in the world. If you want to have a better idea of how those principles are applied at Bridgewater, look for Ray Dalio’s TED talk. Hopefully that’s somewhat helpful :)

I know this is not the intent but it is a so spontaneous and kind of cheesy that it comes across as slightly patronizing. I would say that the skits would be funnier if they came across as more organic and less over the top.
