Thanks Toby, great review as always. That's a good looking cruiser, clearly well designed for it's intended purpose and market. I would definitely be happy with that for a few weeks a year with the family 😁
its a 1060m hull displacing 8t, that is insanely heavy, you need a lot of underwater surface for that weight which means on top of weight, more drag. As a comparison, an Oceanis 34.1 is 1070m length on hull and displaces 5.4t. A Dufour 37 is 1070cm on hull and displaces 6.7t. A SO 350 is 10m un hull and displaces 5.6t. no matter how you compare this hanse is going to be outperformed in light conditions or by engine performance by pretty much anyone.
@ on 15k tws surely are hull speed boats, below that (8 out 10 days in med) you dont need cfd to know that displacement requires power. that s/d ratio wont cut it. i understand is perhaps not possible, but comparing sailboats should be a segment of the reviews. i still like you guys a lot, in particular toby.
On a boat this size, sails and fenders often end up in an aft quarter berth. I'd probably take the larger galley and smaller quarter berth for such. There's limited volume in a relatively small boat.

Thanks Toby for the review and walk through
Love those squeaky floors!
Chucking it down, that’s a new one.

Who's racing? 🤷🏼♂️
And yet we sailed it with the SO350 and it wasn't
It will be more stable and safer .
Isn’t the displacement a better indicator of size than length is?

Interesting to see some current production boats and prices.
So... no sail/fenders locker?

# this a nice yacht but the 418 is nicer. should i purchase a new yacht it would probably be a Hanse. ⛵🤙
Fiddles on the table , then you can lay out a chart .
Not having the fabric on the seat cushions extend to the sides is cheap in the extreme!
Too expensive for what it is, really, IMHO.
