Doh, I never thought about your brilliant tip... I always squish the head while working on the face 🤨, so now I’ll take your brilliant advice and cook it BEFORE working on the face🤗 Thanks so much for that, and the work you put into sharing your techniques. x
I've never seen someone build up from a flat surface like that, but it seems very effective, thank you for sharing your techniques! I can't wait to practice this on my own
OMG...I have always wanted to know how to do this kind of face! thank you soooooooo much! Your instructions are so clear and easy to follow - I want to show my grandaughter how to make fairies etc. from polymer clay and your tutorials are so easy for a 11 year old to follow.
You make it look so easy. I think I will be watching your video again and try to follow along. Only hope I can make something even half as good as your adorable gnome!
love watching what you do. So inspiring. Just starting to sculpt with clay, waiting for my 1st shipment of supplies. You are so talented. I know it's going to be lots of trial and error, but you make it look so easy. Thank you for sharing. All the way from South Africa. I'm excited for the future. I make little elves, but sculpting the head, and hands is going to take my elves to the next level.
This is so cool, can I ask a couple questions? How long do u bake for and what degrees? You used a white sculpy and then the skin tone one, is this a different brand/ different material? Can I paint on the clay or put in oven first, harden and then paint? Also can the aluminum wire / foil go into oven? Thanks soo so much your work is beautiful!
Hi, so you need to follow the pack instructions but normally 130c for 60mins for larger pieces. The white one here is ultralight, not for sculpting with just for filling out the armature. The pink clay is super sculpey beige, foil and wire and clay go in the oven then you paint :)
I’ve just discovered you and this type of art in general. I’m blown away! You may have shared all this info already, but I’m wondering how you got started in this. Did you go to school for this?
Love this video. Do you have any tips on the tin foil armature. It is my stumbling block every time getting the right shape. Love the idea of adding the sculpt light to it.
wonderful sculpting! I am unsure if I can bake part of the head then with the face on later, because the instructions on Fimo clay says not to bake for longer than the recommended time or the clay might get burned...
How is it when you do the face it's just so smooth. I can't get it done without lumps finger and nail prints.please tell me what am I missing ? I think I've done the face 7 times now and just can't get it right and I'm following everything you do. Please help
It can be difficult, I've squished a lot of faces too in the past, it does take practice. The videos always make it look easier than it is, you have to be aware of what bit you are holding while concentrating on another area, keep trying you will improve!
@@emzoddworks thank you and I will definitely keep trying. Managed to get the feet and hands looking half decent just stuck with the face. Practice makes perfect as they say. Thanks again
Now I probably sound like a idiot but can you use your kitchen oven or does it smellnso strong you wouldn't be able to cook food in it after doing that?
This is so crazy, I guess I never knew where to look all these years. I have been struggling with this being my interest for a decade easily. I am 53 now, and a 6ft 3 270lb guy who has for that time been trying to figure out why I wanted to make dolls... think about that! Then I stumble across a, lady named Emma doing the exact type of crafting I had stuck in my head yet never exposed to it before. I have been sculpting at times, then wired armature's then messing with Smooth On products in a vicious circle for like I said easily ten years. Never able to quite put the Trio together. So I have felt like a failure because I would keep spending money off and on in material, then it would sit because I would glaze over like a yummy Donut, but not in a good way obviously. I been married for 25 years to someone with ZERO interest in anything like this. Sure liked looking at it, but to desire to make them ..hell no! Pff.. Should of found a circle that I belonged in like this. Me thinks things would have been a tad different....
Hey, thanks for your lovely comment, it's certainly never too late to start, there are plenty of male sculptors that make creatures too, look up Toby Froud. I love zoning out into my imaginary world, it's good for you. I hope you give it a go! Follow me on Facebook as I post work in progress pics, altho no gnome's at the mo :)
I really like your sculpture but there's one thing that kind of creep me out your sculptures eyes they're so dark and black why did you make them black? Nevertheless you did a great job keep up the good work.

Einfach wunderschön danke bitte mehr davon danke bleibt Gesund liebe Grüße Maria
Thank you for sharing your skill. Wonderful.
A wonderful creation, full of emotion and worthy of standing alongside Jim Henson's characters from the Dark Crystal or Labyrinth. :)
Oh wow, thank you, that would have been a dream job, love those films!
Those were actually Brian and Wendy Frouds creations! But they worked with Jim Henson to conceptualize them
I've never seen someone build up from a flat surface like that, but it seems very effective, thank you for sharing your techniques! I can't wait to practice this on my own

This is pretty amazing and you are very talented. I once applied for a cake decorating job to sculpt marzipan- it was very hard!
Thank you! Funnily enough I was talking about trying marzipan sculpting to someone yesterday! My skills do not stretch to cake baking tho! 😂
I have a good friend who does it full time in nyc. It’s so awesome. Her insta is instagram.com/sscakedesignnyc?igshid=cu2x0cp1524t

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!
Merry Christmas!
Thank you so much for this wonderful tutorial! You have inspired me! 👍🏻👍🏻
Thank you for sharing your knowledge and your amazing work. Is there any produt to clean the marks and digital prints from polymer clay works?
It's best to try and remove dirt as you go but you can sand polymer clay after baking.
Que trabalho mais lindo! Sua seguidora! PARABÉNS Brasil MG!
thank you :)
beautiful! how do you make and attach the clothes
mostly by wrapping fabric around and not much sewing if I can help it! :)
Wonderful do you use sculpty polymer on all of it besides the light weight?!
Oops just looked in the description.
Thanks
Absolutely fascinating! You are very talented. How in the world do you keep your fingerprints from imprinting on the clay?
practice lol! and I smooth everything with clay softner, should be listed below the vid :)
This is so cool, can I ask a couple questions?
How long do u bake for and what degrees?
You used a white sculpy and then the skin tone one, is this a different brand/ different material?
Can I paint on the clay or put in oven first, harden and then paint?

I’ve just discovered you and this type of art in general. I’m blown away! You may have shared all this info already, but I’m wondering how you got started in this. Did you go to school for this?
Thank you, I’ve always made creatures from clay since I was a kid 😊
This is incredible... Can I ask what eyes you use? Do they not melt in the oven? ❤️
they are painted cabachons, if you search my videos there is also an eye tutorial which may help
The tutorials are really very helpful. Can you please tell me what size the eyes are? Thanks for the answer in advance
I think they may have been 14mm diameter ones.
genius!
Beautiful sculpting😍❤️ Do you mix your super sculpey living doll clay? I bought the living doll beige one and it looks darker x
this one was just the biege but it can go darker the longer you bake it, check your oven temperature too
Could You Tell Me where Your tutorials are located Please… ThankYou So Very Much… ✨🍃✨
there should be playlists on youtube, and if you mean the template the link should be under the video
Amei ficou maravilhoso!
Love this video. Do you have any tips on the tin foil armature. It is my stumbling block every time getting the right shape. Love the idea of adding the sculpt light to it.
yeah it can go out of shape. Only squash it down hard when you have a good shape. :)
Love this. Many I ask what did you use for the eyes?
Thanks, they are glass cabochons painted black 😊
Te ha quedado hermoso, hermoso
Cuanto talento tan maravilloso hay en tus manos. 😍
Me Suscribo.
thank you :)
Do you have any tutorials on making wings by any chance I'm addicted to fairies and mermaids x
Not at the moment but I will add it to my list of ideas. Just need to find more hours in the week now lol!
wonderful sculpting! I am unsure if I can bake part of the head then with the face on later, because the instructions on Fimo clay says not to bake for longer than the recommended time or the clay might get burned...
Hi, yes you can bake lots of times don't worry. They just mean don't let the temperature go over what is stated on the pack :)
(See you cook the base head before working)
Me: (facepalms in omg how did I not-)
But seriously. So excited~~
Lol, it's so much easier!
what temp for baking or do you just follow the clay instructions?
Yes, follow the pack as they're all different!
Amazing work! Where do you put them when u have to bake them? The normal oven for cooking is ok for this kind of paste?
I have a separate mini oven but I know plenty of artists that use their home oven.
May I ask what the paint brush is for/using?
sorry not sure what you mean?

Do you make the costumes yourself? Or did you purchase them? I’ve been practice with creations, but clothing is a struggle!
Yeah I make the clothing but it can be tricky. I mainly just wrap and glue :)
How is it when you do the face it's just so smooth. I can't get it done without lumps finger and nail prints.please tell me what am I missing ? I think I've done the face 7 times now and just can't get it right and I'm following everything you do. Please help

what do you you use for the eyes?
Glass's cabochons, check out my eye tutorial for more ideas 😊
Ciao, bellissimo. Puoi dirmi il materiale? Grazie
Hi, it's polymer clay :)
How long do you bake it? Really nice.
Thanks, for larger sculpts I bake about an hour to be safe it's cured, but you have to keep an eye on the temperature! :)
You are a very talented lady! I sure hope you continue to post your videos! I would love to see some other possible themes that you can do.
Thank you so much! Stay tuned!
Hello there😃
Can you please post a list of materials ?
Hi there should be links under the video or if you buy the template there is also a list :)
hi are u useing buttons for eyes can u bake them to thanks
Hi if you look at my channel you will find an eye tutorial, hope it helps :)
How do you prevent/treat fingerprints?
with the smoothing oil or rubbing alcohol
Now I probably sound like a idiot but can you use your kitchen oven or does it smellnso strong you wouldn't be able to cook food in it after doing that?
Lots of people do use home ovens and say its fine. I have a mini oven in the garage just to be safe.

Of course, thank you 😊
I'm trying to do this and nine looks nothing like it. About to give up. I have no talent for faces tho I sure wish I did.
Keep trying, first attempts are never great:)
