They probably would, but more than likely they don't have enough time to devote to it, these guys are all over the place between hunting and doing their own thing and working with duck commander, and traveling and speaking engagements, they'd be hard pressed to devote enough time to another regular show. Just me guessing though....would be fun though if they did have their own show!

Cut off all the silver skin, fat, and tendons, slice no thicker then 1/4", (that's the secret) roll in flour, fry in hog lard until it starts to get crispy, salt with your favorite seasoning salt, then for the most important part, call me so I can help you eat it.

  • @KFieLdGaming
    @KFieLdGaming 8 ปีที่แล้ว +20

Oh my god I'm hungry. The fillets(tenderloins) are so damn good. Hell it's all good. You can't beat venison. Just can't do it. Anyway, usually I eat the tenderloins immediately. I'll gut the deer, get it home and hung up -- and then cut them out and within 30 minutes they're on the grill sizzling.

We are not fans of Old Bay seasoning, so I swapped it out with Tony's seasoning, but otherwise followed Godwin's recipe, and my aunt, who grew up eating deer meat on a regular basis with four hunting brothers in south Louisiana, said it was the best backstrap she had ever tasted! Success! It literally melted in your mouth. That platter of fried backstrap "medallions" was gone in no time. We want to try the grilled rolls with the bacon and jalapeno cream cheese next time. Plus, we were mad that we hadn't done it this way earlier. LOL Thanks Godwin!

Dude rip the inner loins out the night you shoot the deer, heat up your pan, add butter and onions for a simple yet perfect meal (1/4 in slices)

Never use deer fat in grinding, makes it taste terrible.

George Kershner I used deer fat with my burger and it turned out pretty good. I just don't use the slimy part of the fat which is like a membrane.

Ive heard that deer that eat lots of corn and other leftover stuff on farms have good tasting fat. But otherwise not so good tasting.

I think I got it all down...measurements are all “about” right.
    Recipe 1
    Nearly a whole bottle Worcestershire
    1/2 cup low sodium soy
    1Tbsp mustard seasoning
    1Tbsp Cheyenne pepper
    Marinate 2-3 hours
Rub generously with Famous Dave’s rib rub (Walmart)
Fill, roll meat, wrap with bacon. Secure with tooth picks.
Grill over medium heat about 20-30 minutes depends on your grill and technique.
    Rest 5-10 minutes before eating.
    Filling
    4oz cream cheese
3 jalapeño diced (remove seeds for less heat or use less jalapeños)
For tenderloin cook 30 minutes top rack then sear over flame and let rest 10 minutes before cutting.
    -----------------
    Recipe 2
    2 eggs
    1 1/2 cup butter milk
(FYI: if you don’t have butter milk you can add a tbsp of vinegar to whole milk and let it sit 10 minutes)
    3 large punches of salt
    4 tbsp black pepper
    Double dip in flour
Fry medium (325) 6 minutes more for larger strips
Place on paper towel to drain
Add liberal amounts of Old Bay Seasoning to still greasy strips
    Dip
    1 1/2 cup mayo
    4 tsp horseradish
    1 Tbsp Worcestershire
    1/2 lemon squeezed
2 Tbsp Famous Dave’s rib rub
    2 Tbsp Old Bay Seasoning
    Mix and dip
