    ALL wagons / containers / buildings / signals / bridges were build by myself using PVC boards between 0.5 mm (1/64 inches) and 8 mm (5/16 inches) in thickness.
    The layout itself is about 500 m² (5382ft²) big and the track length is about 300 m (1000feet).

    HOLY SHIT!!! I love the way this railroad is built into the natural landscape with such amazing results. Small details like properly ballasted track and realistic train make-up make this railroad so attractive...from Germany! You nailed it! Love the signals also...Danke!

    That's pretty amazing. Love how the track blends in with the garden. What are those black boxes along the line? Power connections? Can you tell me what is the music around 3:45?

    • @backyardrailroad9401

    I prefer running trains with a caboose, but I love it when a modeler uses an EOT when running modern power consist. Did you make any instructional videos of how you built your rolling stock and buildings, with measurements?

    The Diesel coal drags-like the one in your backyard go by all day and through the night here in Pueblo, Colorado. Good job with the coal trains and diesels on each end. Since I have been living in Pueblo all of the Coal trains rolling stock has been the newer type all matching cars. No graffiti on any of the coal trains either.

    Love it, but what happens to everything when you get a heavy rain and things gets muddy? Do you cover things with a tarp? Does the track rust right away? Do the tiny details uproot and float away?

    • @backyardrailroad9401
      @backyardrailroad9401  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Since the layout is inside a forrest the track doesn’t get heavy rains and doesn’t get muddy at all. All the details stay where they are. During the winter we cover the bridges with wooden boards.
      The track doesn’t rust since it’s made out of brass.

    Very nice layout, good music but you need to learn how to focus the camera better. Most of the shots are out of focus. You need to learn about depth of field in photography.

    • @backyardrailroad9401
      @backyardrailroad9401  7 ปีที่แล้ว +10

      Thanks for your comment but all the shots that are at somepoint out of focus are on purpose like that. I used a camera with a lense with fixed focal length to make the illusion of a real train shot even more realistic.
