Excellent summary Ghyn. I had one of my subscribers tell me in game that when they changed one of their professions they lost guild rep for one of the profession they did not switch. As Expansions go they continue to hit on their strengths (as you mentioned) and of course there are bugs. Hopefully the next update does correct them but I would encourage everyone to be very cautious. SSG (and Turbine prior) have a track record of letting things linger WAY to long.
Ehh the questing for me only became fun when i got to shield isle, all the recycling of old areas had me bored as hell and it dragged on for what felt like eternity. I got to level 145 before hitting shield isle, it was maddening
I had "the luck" that i skipped content from lv 80 to 140, so i never came across these gondor zones and it was basically new to me... but totally understand it. Even tho Pennath Gelin was very cool and imo one of the most beautiful zones i came across in the game.
ah yes, the classic SSG business model of: Pay us now for our unfinished garbage, and maybe we'll get around to giving you the rest later.. if we have time.
Honestly I would've been more than happy to wait till next year for instances, missions, delvings and daily's to be included with launch. Right now their is zero reason to level to 150 outside of new quests and landscape. Fine for the first toon, but I see zero reason to level an alt at this time.
going to Rhun i have always wanted to see and i actually dont mind the delayed release of some stuff or otherwise we would burn through this expansion in a week and lets us play other games as well XD
LOTRO was a nice fix for a while. I enjoyed it, but honestly it got boring. The back and forth questing design burned me out. I made it to level 41 and that was it. You do a great job on your channel and I appreciate the community.
Wait to get to shield isles, the landscape will make you quit the game :) , I dont know who had the idea to create island where you have to swim all the time around to get to the quest. Honest rating of expansion is 6/10
In my opinion this launch has been one of the most horrible launches I seen I don't know but umbar needed to be delayed more i don't mind questing but it feels king's Gondor took more priority over umbar idk I'm not a fan of revisting old zones that coulda given us some endgame and beginning 150 gear the ugly truth there's really no way to get embers unless you open lootboxes granted I'm still questing in king's Gondor on a rcappy but so far I'm disappointed because they hype umbar up but overlooked many things umbar should have been pushed to December because with this so many bugs and exploits lotro state of the game is badd in my honest opinion
I agree about expanding into the rest of Mordor; that'd be great! I'd love to compare to the Shadow of Mordor/War games. (So far, LOTRO does Mordor better imo!)
I thought LM rework was finally coming with this expansion and I'd be able to use my eagle again. Wasn't the case though, so I'll keep waiting to come back to the game sadly.
Those bugs are no bugs with so much content we are getting. Nothing unusual, coupl;e bugs at begining. Go enjoy nice zones and quests :) Thanks Ghyn for report
is it just me or are the quests the almost the same as they were when gondor first came out. seems like not only is it the same area as old gondor but the quest are just copy and pasted. ex go around the big rock and look in 3 directions and kill 8 ghost that only come out at night. alot of the quest seemed copy and paste to me.
If you have done all the deeds, tasks, repeatable quests, story quests, side quests, and learned all the trees of all the classes, I would be both impressed and horrified. If you haven't, there is more to do in this amazing game.
LOTRO: The Current State of The Umbar Expansion : can be summarized with one sentence: absolute shit. It's like they don't even test these thigs at all
I respectfully disagree about the questing. I enjoyed shield-isles and umbar but i believe everything related to gondor was recycled , uninteresting and very unrewarding. This opinion is shared by several people in my guild. Very underwhelming and big part of the expansion.
I do think they should be more patient with releasing content like this. When a new expansion launches you want to make sure you can ride that wave of excitement and keep people hooked on your new content cycle for a while. I understand SSG is spread thin, but for me LOTRO content cycles are really only worth getting into once they've been out for a year because you know that you will get a much more complete experience. Most of the landscape is a revisit of old zones, and thus much less exciting, and right now there is nothing to do expect levelling. I would not be surprised if they won't see a large part of the people playing Umbar now again for months because waiting for content to be drip-fed to you when a new expansion has just launched doesn't really motivate people to stick around.
Questing so far in Gondor just seems to be everything in reverse. I will bring up a frustration about the expansion - last year with Shadow, ultimate was $99 plus VIP got an additional 10% off. Only 1 year later we get Umbar, ultimate is now $129 with no VIP discount. I'm hoping that steep increase will pay off in the end, but as of yet, I'm saddened.

Absolutely thanks for this video, a lot of useful and interesting information. You chose a good topic for a video, news about current lotro. Amazing!
Your efforts and dedication to your community and this game are unparalleled. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
thank you ghynghyn for covering the news
I am getting the correct Essence boxes from Lootboxes and have more lvl15 essences than I know what to do with at present.

Have you played Evendim before they added all the fast-travel options?
its not even that big of a problem...
Just for that! You serious?
@@Gilmier crazy right?🤣🤣🤣
@@notmyrealname8071 good old Everswim lol
Is there really no lvl 150 content whatsoever right now? Not even daily quest in umbar city?
There are some dailies, but I'm not sure yet since I'm not near cap yet
There is dailies in some of the towns but they seem to just be used for rep and allegiance experience

there other things which are bad, so bad this is my last expansion in LOTRO forever.
Things could definitely have been better, yes
when minas morgul was launched we had servers down for a week. so this one is fine😁
Thanks ghyn ❤

LM revamp has been postponed until early next year.

There are definitely similar quests yes, but overall it felt different to me
Once again, we're beta testing on live. I am enjoying though.
For many people it is not possible to buy the expansion
idk... i'm at lvl 150 now and there is absolutely nothing to do O.o

Yeah it feels half finish and I'm n ot gonna take a alt and redo the quests guess I'll Sword Halls hahaha

I've yet to get to shield isles and Umbar, so it's definitely possible that you are right. I just enjoy questing in general.
