The beastmen surprised me with how scary it was. The rapidly accelerating drum beats with the beastial screams, but worse than that - the dying down there for a second. Unlike the Skaven who have the numbers to not care and the Norsca who are too fanatic to stop, the Beastmen know when to back off and try again from a better position
The way the beastman makes a noise that sounds like they are saying „Kruber”

God i wish we had more of this intense "youre gonna fucking die" music in Darktide. The OST already bangs beyond belief but im a sucker for good drum rolls like this

Given that's essentially what a "vermintide" is canonically,it's pretty spot on.
It's still amazing how they made each horde theme feel unique to the enemies you were fighting

The sound of a bray-herd ten thousand strong, mad with hatred for all uncorrupted life.
The warcry before a skaven ambush is always makes my adrenaline just start pumping. Even more than hearing the horde moments before it hits.

Janfon does more for Vermintide 2 than other whole fandoms for their own interest
the sounds they make right before the horde is always so cool, i have thousand hours plus but when i was noob hearing the skaven whisper then scream and surround you in hunger in the dark for the first time made me shit bricks
Lol yeah I remember being new. Champion seemed hard and Hunger in the Dark was definitely a real one.

I think it says "Kill them!" but hard to tell - I don't speak heretical beasty.

God I still love this game
When i first started, all the enemys were the scariest, and the sound of grudge marked in the chaos wastes were INSANEly scary, but now i see them as so cool, and easy to kill

I remember one mission of wait what is it? the mission where you go to Ussingen I don't remember it's name. Anyway we had beastmen but the beginning of the horde fights constantly sounded even when there wasn't a horde on its way. It made the mission genuinely scary and a good bit more fun.

still remarkable to me just how long these games have flown under the general publics radar 😂, but when you have advertisement campaigns like darktide then its really not too surprising i suppose...

It would be a super sick mod if someone made it to where Hordes had all 3 factions be part of hordes simultaneously, and even mesh together into one unit, like as mixed horde. I dunno why, that just sounds awesome to me.
I think the beastmen would just kill the other 2 factions during the charge. It would be a cool image of all 3 charging into you while the rats don’t care who they kill, Norseman trampling rats and beastmen, and the beastmen just killing whatever is near them eventually getting to you
@@solidbagingo350 Exactly. You see the horde of rat and norsemen, expecting a standard mixed horde, then you see three bestigors charging through said horde intending to headbutt you in the dick.
Would make some hordes even bigger too. Norseman/Rat Mixed hordes are already big because you've got two different hordes, but a third horde ontop of all that? Goodness.
This is just how Janfon plays this game with everything at ten and the music at a hundred

It's really rare and happens only with tough deeds and/or Twitchmode but when you have the 3 factions striking as one it's really epic ; you kill and smash rakis, northlanders and beasties in every direction ... It's also very deadly if you are not ready for a tough fight.
Does anyone else feel like the hordes in VT2 go on a bit awkwardly long sometimes? Where you're like "..ok, I get it, lots of rats. Can we move on now?"
It's less lots of rats and more tanky ass rats

@@Janfon1 I still prefer the Flail, but being able to feel the bonks you put onto a Chaos Warrior's head is pretty cathartic with the Mace.
@@Janfon1 Kruber's mace is great. Probably my most used Kruber weapon.
