Omg if u just know how much I’m in love with ur content i have step2 exam & i have to go fast with the materials but gosh it’s impossible to let ur videos, ahh i wish I knew u in my college days 😔
I have Lupus. I’ve read that Sulfa drugs are a no-no for patients like me. A year ago my doctor had me on Sulfasalazine. After 3 months I felt worse and was switched to Methotrexate. Could there be any damage due to the even short dosing of Sulfasalazine?
Why do they tell Lupus patients to avoid Sulfa drugs? Doctors in Las Vegas are not the greatest and we don’t even have enough Rheumatologists to treat us.
Because sulfa drugs (especially the antibiotics) are known to cause an increase in sun sensitivity and lower white blood cell counts in people with lupus, which can lead to lupus flares. That’s why many doctors advice lupus patients to apply sun block 🧴 (of at least SPF 30) all the time, and to take their medications all the time. I hope that helps! Please let me know if you have any questions. Disclaimer: I am not a practicing physician, so I don’t give medical advice...Please talk to your doctor! Thanks!
Medicosis Perfectionalis you’re awesome, thanks! Yeah I wear sunblock, but am basically a vampire, lol. I just found your videos and they are already so helpful. My 17 year old wants to be a doctor, so I’m going to lead her here as well!
I appreciate you!...Thank you so much 😊 It’s such an honor! I wish you good health...Keep fighting Mr. Lupus, because he’s ugly. You can do it! Say Hi to your daughter! Please let me know if you have any questions!
