This is the vision for the channel! I would love to tell more stories about tennis whether it be venues, players, tournaments etc! I love this sport and want to continue spreading just how cool it could be, so if you know of any cool courts or stories please comment below! Also, I 've seen the 700 comments on the foot faults. All of these videos were filmed on the same weekend, so I was unaware. I promise they will be fixed, you don't have to let me know anymore haha
Trey Learn how to do the proper crossteps to get your body all sideways to the ball when hitting the overhead smashes. The hips must be unlocked from the net when smashing the overhead and we do it this way for our own wellbeing. As its not good to always smash the ball with the hips all locked up tight facing at the net. Your Run around Forehand only works if you have got enough time to run around the ball. It won't work for every single ball. Its designed to work only for balls you got plenty of time to get your feet all around and have enough space and room to swing on. Your swings are sometimes stlil late with preparing to swing at the ball. When the ball is coming fast to you you start the swing early while the ball is still crossing the net and you hit the ball back clean as a result, but if you wait for the ball to bounce on your side of the court especially if the ball is going more slower or you're getting tired and then wait for the ball to bounce on your side of the court and then start your swing, then your timing ends up being late and you soon get into trouble with swing cramping issues with the ball. The Reverse above the head finish of Nadal allows is to get away with being late with the timing on the ball if we can't get early enough to the ball.
Content and story telling is on a level we don’t see with other tennis TH-camrs. Once your tennis game catches up, no telling how big this channel could be!
The Courts is a wonderful facility with a great staff. Playing there at night is awesome. It feels special because it is. Jiroslav is a great guy and gifted instructor. The entire Anza Borrego area is an awesome desert location as well. Worth the trip.
@@Winners-Only What happened out there bomber!? - Royal Tenenbaums quote. Side note I heard you say you had elbow pain. I developed tennis elbow when using Toroline wasabi recently with a Vcore. Not saying it’s happening to you but might be worth trying something softer.
I just came back from playing BAD doubles tennis all day (Pissed off here big time). My first serves where clearly on holiday because it was no where to be seen on the court today lol .Everything about this video lit me up and can't stop smiling. Thanks for sharing this one with us Trey. We all are proud to see how far you've come mate in very short time. keep the grind and Good luck.
Last time I was in Borrego Springs it was 120° even the pool was uncomfortable 😂 Glad you got some decent weather to enjoy and even a couple wins! That’s huge!! Keep vlogging when you get the opportunity, I love this format and there’s not many out there who do it in this niche.
Agreed on the popular opinion that this is your best video, thanks so much for all you do for this incredible sport, Trey! Jackson's forehand looks kind of like Jan-Michael Gambill's, an old tennis player who made it big with a two-handed forehand! Safe to say it's definitely not as pleasing to the eye 😂
That Ezone absolutely wrecked my arm. I know people generally say it's relatively arm-friendly compared to a Pure Drive/Aero or something but it wasn't the case for me. I never had tennis elbow issues and after a few months with the Ezone, the pain was so bad it'd wake me up at night, some shoulder pain too. Ended up switching to Head Speed and haven't had any issues since, even with stiff polys. Just something to consider if your elbow isn't getting better. Great vid and storytelling man. Keep at it!
Have Head Speed as well, tried Prince ATX 100 - immediately felt tennis elbow and shoulder pains, switched back to Speed - gorgeous, no pain at all. Seems it depends on personality, some play with this Prince racket without any issues, so it can be the same with the Ezone you tried.
Really cool video. Amazing location with the vintage vibes and some nice tennis from you as well Trey! Keep it up. I think it's really interesting to see you travel and play tournaments like these.
Honestly you’re doing such a beautiful service to the tennis community. You started a year plus ago hitting balls and now you’re hanging out among tennis lovers having a great time playing tennis playing strong. Wow man so happy I get to watch this journey and also experience tennis in other places from other players from your lenses. Bravo 👏
Thank you for sharing this experience! It's unlikely we'll ever visit this wonderful venue, so having you bring this into our home is the next best thing.
Dude, this was raad. Just stumbled on your page, and I'm glad I did. Cool, different experiences w tennis. Gonna be fun to see your journey grow! You got natural talent and a beastly serve. Keep up the good work, man.
@@jonmccauley6490 It's not a game breaker. For a 3.5 player his serve is fantastic. I would much rather have his form and some foot faults to work on, than really bad form but no foot faults.
@@GershonBenYitzhak It could if he gets a guy in a tournament that calls him out on it. Being called out in the middle of a match can really mess with your head and rhythm. I know I've called out a guy in a 4.0 match that was literally taking a stride into the court. The next video I watched he tried fixing it after reading the comments, so I'll watch a few others to find out.
Been watching you since 1k subs I think, and I can say this with confidence. All you need right now is the experience from playing different types of players and tournaments and you will raise up that UTR in no time. Keep it up love the content
If you’re still in the area, you need to try the Grand Slam Round Robin at the JW Marriott Desert Springs. Play on hard, clay and grass all in 1 morning with some good doubles action. Jim and Dora there are the best!
Congrats on 10k Trey, well deserved! Content has been nothing but entertaining, will definitely see you up there with Winston in the next year. Let me know if you'll ever be in the Chicagoland area!
What really helped my tennis elbow was to take Nick at Intuitive Tennis's advice on lower string tension and that losing control is exaggerated. I went straight down to 44lbs from 52lbs and found that my elbow felt much better pretty fast, and I didn't really lose much control. Now I have no pain and am slowly experimenting with going up in tension a little again.
Thoroughly enjoyed this Trey. Beautifully shot, a great storyline, just a really special video. I’ll be looking into whether The Courts are taking English players next year 😉
Very nice playing. Don't forget to always put ice on the elbow. Also massage it from time to time. It really helps. Aleeve is also good. You might also want to consider using a string hybrid setup of Poly/Multi for comfort.
Great video! Rest your elbox, get softer strings, lower your tension, restring more often, consider changing your frame if you think it might be hurting your arm. Get rid of TE before it ruins your arm.
Sick video! Love the editing. Another entry for best amateur tennis tournament is the Washington State Open in Seattle! Completely different style of tournament, with a 200+ person open men’s singles draw, at a posh tennis club where bill gates is a member. You should check it out!
good playing, and btw, talking to yourself on the court is not bad, there is a reason I'm called "The Rattler" on my tennis clothes LOL, but that keeps me going. keep it up, that place is really cool indeed!
Next level tennis content creation! Hope the elbow is on the mend. Question - I noticed you're now playing with the Ezone. Did the elbow start flaring when you switched? I ask b/c I recently switched and worried that the same might happen to me. In any event, well done and huge fan!
No it would flare up with my prostaff as well when I would play a few days in a row. i put in like 50 hrs in a month prepping for this trip so it was likely overuse

Wanted to add, at 13:42 you are way too close to the net for no reason. You're tall, there is no way that should have gone over your head. After you hit an approach shot like that, move back 3-4 feet
Gotta work on them foot faults homie. I haven’t seen the whole video yet but people are gonna call you on that at some point and if you ever make a USTA regional tourney they have roaming judges that will call you on it and then wave your serve confidence goodbye for the rest of that match. Looking good, this looks like a real fun tournament. 13:29 best forehand I've seen you hit
Foot fault also at 6:45

So pumped to find this channel tonight!
I NEED to go there! I love the colors and vintage atmosphere.

Really well edited with a great story being told. Keep up the good work!
Amazing video man. Seriously top notch, captured the vibes of the venue! Got me wanting to go here.
