@@donaldcombs4677 I live out by mason, haven’t gotten to much time to drive yet due to 20+ year old dry rotted tires and a lower intake manifold gasket leak that doesn’t allow the cooling system to pressurize, I’ll eventually get to later this year once those and the small electrical issues get sorted out
Hope you’re doing okay since your heart attack, looking forward to the restoration. You can do a coolant bypass mod to stop the coolant running through the intake, might free up a few horsepower with cooler intake temperatures. I think gm did that to heat up the engine faster for emissions. There’s how-to’s on the vette forums.
Oh ya! I have done that coolant bypass as well in the past. Since the Heart Attack I have been working on getting back into some form of shape, and as best as I can. I still have an issue with the Rusted VIN Plate!
anyone can buy a corvette that doesn't need work. but what's the fun it that ? i bought an 86 4 spd car for $1300 that looked like crap, had some real backyard fixes (piece of wood to support lower seat cushion) and needed a new clutch. fixed a few minor things and ended up selling it for $1800 because I was trying to avoid spending the $$$ for the clutch. to this day I wished I kept it. it would have kept me busy for quite awhile. looking forward to your adventure !
The Targa Top that is the tinted plexi-top so yes, I do. but not installed on the Red Vette. its got broken and I have a replacement plexi-glass piece just can't seem to find the correct glue to use. The Silver/Grey Vette has the see through top and it is great if you like to cook yourself while driving down the road. My GF has a top that is semi see through but she only wears it on special occasions.
@@ranbymonkeys2384 LOL! you can pick one up at Ecklers Corvette: www.ecklerscorvette.com/catalogsearch/result/?&q=targa%20top or get one used from someone parting out a C4 Vette. that is how I got the non-transparent top while I worked on the transparent top repair.
Nice...looking forward to more videos on the updates, i own C4 1987 myself....love them😎💯👍🏾🔥
They are Great Cars... Cheap to get right now also!
Nice 85 I recently picked up a bright red / grey interior 1988 and also live in southern New Hampshire, like the videos you’ve been putting out 👍🏻
Thank you. That color combo sounds really nice. Do you drive up north at all? Above Tilton?

Yes, Part of the fun of owning one of these cars is working on it. You get that "I Did This" or " I Fixed It" satisfaction of ownership.
Famous last words, it just needs....lol
LOL! YUP!
