I put weatherstripping on my wife's 1950 Plymouth using that 3m adhesive. It worked well gluing the rubber to the painted surface inside the door. You have to wait a few minutes for it to tack up but so far it is holding. Supposed to be better than the permatex brand.
Also, I'm sorry if I missed it but did you mention where (brand) you got your weatherstripping for the doors? The weather stripping at the bottom of my door is starting to tear and I may need to replace them soon. Maybe we can get a 1 year update to find out how well the new weather stripping performs.

Yes, but I was after getting them secured but not bonded to the body. as the car is going to paint this coming spring so I will have to be able to remove the weather stripping so I can reuse them. if that is possible to do on the door seals... or the other seals.
The maker of the door seal is a Corvette America product that came in a package deal from eBay.
