Legit yung sa fried rice. Nag start din ako sa garlic rice, ngayon nandun na ko sa nag-e-experiment ng iba ibang flavors for the fried rice. Nakaka-enjoy sya gawin. Minsan di masarap, pero okay lang, at least you're learning. Kudos to you, Chef JP!

What a coincidence, I made spam musubi and beef musubi today for the kids. I used sushi rice...big mistake because it just sticks to my fingers because I don't have a spam musubi molder, should have used regular rice instead. After putting them together, I realized I could just flatten the sushi rice and use the spam container to cut the rice, but too late. My suggestion: cut down in the rice portion to lower the carbs intake. Keep the videos coming. Thank you.
I would say, chef, that if you added furikake in between the rice and spam that would be so solid. Also, if you seasoned the rice with a tad bit of mirin and sesame oil. Creating a soy glaze with soy sauce, mirin, a little bit of rice vinegar and brown sugar is (i think) traditional as well
In Hawaii we also cook the spam in teriyaki sauce (boiled in it, I prefer after I give it a sear). The part of the musubi maker with the handle is what pushes it down to its shape. So in the order of nori, the musubi maker on top of the nori, push spoonful of rice inside the musubi maker, spam, and another layer of rice sprinkled with sesame seeds or more of the teriyaki sauce (not too much or the rice will fall apart out of its square form unless you use a full square nori to cover it all), then push down with the musubi maker handle and wrap up with the nori that was at the bottom. Hope that made sense 🥰. Usually we also stuff other things in the middle like kimchi. Lami kaayo!

Hello Chef. Did you put some pinch of vinegar on the rice?
Looks damn good chef! Ill double the spam if tht was me, top and bottom!

Pambihira, akala ko nung una si Jokoy ri pala. 😅
spicy garlic paste will work sir
now i want one.
Thanks for the idea Chef
It looks like a giant spam sushi
Hi Chef. Was womdering if I can work for you. No culinary background but I'm willing to learn.
spam slicer is a thing (and now a need) :)
I would say, chef, that if you added furikake in between the rice and spam that would be so solid. Also, if you seasoned the rice with a tad bit of mirin and sesame oil. Creating a soy glaze with soy sauce, mirin, a little bit of rice vinegar and brown sugar is (i think) traditional as well
But anyway, IM A BIG FAN, chef. You’re an amazing cook and your carinderya and hole in the wall joint journeys are my favorite.
where to get spam accesories?
Spam - is life lol
❤❤❤
I like it thin and fry it crispy
❤️
ChefJP 😎👍👌

むすびという名は残っていても、むすんでないし、押し**だな
ま、styleとしてのmusubiなんだろうけど・・
しっかし、壁の包丁がすごい
masarap po
hahaha i only use cling wrap and the can for the mold and i get them all perfect
Para sakin sinusunod ko lng ung guhit sa gilid ng spam pra ksing yun ung desired or suggested nya pra juicy prin even if u fry
You forgot the teriyaki sauce....
How often do you cut your nails a week Chef?
Some sweet soy sauce would be nice
Ang sarap naman!
That sound is.....hahahahahaha
try it chef with egg and and spicy mayo too, and season the rice with a little of sesame oil,
And now all online shops will run out of Musubi mold
You forgot the sauce.
Spam is expensive.
