As cool as some of the freight was that I hauled this week, I had a hard time truly enjoying it with all the stress and lack of freight these last 2 weeks. But I want to share the good AND the bad with yall!

13 days without a load I'd would have been gone a long time ago, your better then me for that 1

I wanted things to work with my carrier. Maybe a little too much. But there were benefits here that I'm losing out on with the new carrier I'm leasing onto this week. Obviously those benefits are only worth it if freight picked back up here, and as of today it still hasn't. There's guys who agree with you in that I should have left sooner, and there's guys that think I should have stayed. I think staying as long as I did gives me the certainty that leaving was the right call.

Thanks for the comment! It's not easy to share what I essentially consider a failure of a week (more like 10 days) but I think people need to see it too alongside the good days

As a retired car hauler , just little tip on getting on trailer role down driver's window lean out window an hold tire on strap tiedown holes , just a little tip so don't take it wrong

I appreciate the tip. I've never been a fan of hanging out the side of the window. Maybe it's because I don't do it daily. Most of my freight goes on and off the trailer with the winch. Either way, I get more out of adjusting the mirrors down to see the ramps than I ever did hanging out the window.

I noticed you were with Classic in your earlier videos, but with a different carrier now. I spent a number of years doing single pulls, and later doubles w/Classic in a Ram haul and tow. Really enjoyed it - but the freight definitely took a dive last year and seems to have yet to really recover. I sold off the equipment last year and hope to maybe do it again someday. With respect to the high-end conversion pickups - I can tell you that Classic didn't permit us hauling those due to excessive cargo insurance requirements. I believe they had $150k minimum per unit requirements so they weren't options for reloads as a result. That may have changed since I was there (doubt it though).
I loved the H&T - being able to get in and out of places was really convenient - parking where semis couldn't was nice too. But, in the end the semi is really the best way as you can be super flexible as you are now and do loads that others can't do to keep revenue flowing. Enjoying watching your content. Ride safe out there.

@justinbarnes5498 I will always love the H&T and plan to be back in one someday. But that's not for a while. And as much as I love Classic and the people over there, I would never lease a 53' trailer on with them for multihaul. Some carriers are just better suited for single pull and H&Ts while others are more versatile with their freight. As it turns out, where I'm at now is a lot more like Classic and less of what I need to keep a semi truck busy.
Thanks for your comment! It's always great to hear from other drivers. Keep the rubber side down and take care!

Stay busy, all you can do.

Well, there's one other thing I can do to get me and my truck earning more money. I hate to de-lease and start new somewhere, but that's what it's coming to.

      @@CrossbuckRVTransport I am pondering a switch too.
Sometimes drastic measures must be made.
