I tried both. I wanted to love the beauty of Joseon sunscreen because it’s so popular, but it irritated my skin. The round lab one doesn’t irritate me and it’s perfect. I bought them both from the official websites too so maybe I am allergic to something added to BOJ.
Sometimes I tend to doubt products that are not known in the original country, such as cosrx snail mucin. I know ppl love it, I am just too busy to wait for it sink in. And I live in a very humid country (God forbid we Taiwanese call ourselves a country lol,) but I have yet come to find any flaws in BOJ sunscreen by far. It’s FDA approved, it’s lightweight, it’s cheap, it doesn’t break me out, after a long day outdoors, my face still doesn’t turn oily af. By now, HG for me. Round lab really feels the same, both manufacturered by Kolmar (best manufacturer in Korea) but for some reason the price in Taiwan for round lab is twice the price comparing with BOJ. So I will continue with BOJ, instree’s HA sunscreen, Dr.G’s tone up. Supergoop unseen,(not Korean) , numbuzin’s no.1 and 3. So much fun with sunscreens I must say.
My skin is very sensitive to sunscreen and I started using Round lab. After a week of use, I can say I am a new fan. No bumpy skin around my nose and no breakouts. My skin feels soft after using it as well. After years of going through different sunscreens, finally found one that works. And I love that there is no smell too.
@itsbierce I wish I had the answer for you, but I don't know. A dermatologist can help you figure out what is best for your skin though. When I get acne, I usually use Origins Clear Improvement Active Charcoal Mask to spot treat. But it also depends on how bad the acne is. I am not a professional though. I can only say what has worked for me.

These definitely feel very different to me, I love both and as someone who’s picky w sunscreen and won’t wear it regularly unless it’s that comfortable. The round lab one is definitely more hydrating and I like to combine it with a light moisturizer or use it after serum when I don’t want too many layers and it keeps me hydrated all day and even has a bit of tackiness that I feel is perfect for makeup. The boj one has a velvet finish and thinner consistency which feels amazing on and is good for oily/combo skin on top of ur regular skincare routine cuz it doesn’t add extra shine or oiliness at all.
I loved the finish of this one but it gave me a horrible cystic reaction, I think it clogged my pores and I developed big cysts for months, so I threw it away

Give the "Bellflower - Watermelon Fresh Sunscreen SPF50+ PA+++" a try. Has a little more body than these two, and I personally prefer it over these. Both of these dry down a bit too dewey for my liking, bellflowers dries down almost shiny, but after a couple minutes it goes away. It's pink if that matters to you. Another thing to note is that I don't wear make up, but I doesnt feel heavy or seems like it would u get make up. Apparently this has been out for a while, but relatively unknown at least outside of SK. Purchased it on YStyle on a whim to reach a purchase minimum, glad I did. It's also very inexpensive on Amazon (us) at the moment. About half the price of these two. Would like to gatekeep this secret, but I can't.
BOJ is the only sunscreen that doesn't make me break into hives. I'm allergic to most mineral sunscreen and chemical sunscreen. Highly recommend if you have issues with sunscreen.

My friend and I got a deal where I got the BOJ and she got RL this year. They are similar but ingredients will be the factor in whether or not you'll want to buy either one. If you like watery/gel products get RL and their toner is really nice. BOJ for me was thicker in texture and the probiotic aspects.
The fact is they come from the same factory/lab that they rented/hired and the factory can sell the formula (this case is legal) so they basically use the same ingredients in the same formula in the same lab/factory

But it's twice the price of BOJ where I'm from. Also, both stings my eyes. But I just found out that applying vitamin c reduces any sting from sunscreen.

BOJ one contains grain extract and some other fermented ingredients which are not suitable for people with fungal acne

Round Lab peels off white from my face biggest disappointment waste of money this year never buying it again.
