Slot booking process via online to chennai embassy directly was not opened yet, Should proceed via VFS (either free by filling form and waiting or Premium) ,, Call VFS and Fill the VFS form, they will book the slot and move the things for you.. You can contact either chennai or hyd vfs

You need to check quite often.. when I was doing back in 2019 the slots use to open up early mornings.. so put alarm for 3AM and look for slots.. 😊
