I received Havana as a gift which was brought back from a duty free shop in Spain. It was the original blue bottle. Think I was around 16-17 . I discovered the bottle you just showed and bought it . Brings back memories every time I smell it.
Hi Dan ! May I suggest Aqua Imperi (Le Couvent, formerly Le Couvent des Minimes) as an unorthodox summer scent without evident citruses ? Have you ever seen this one ? Thanks from France for the great content.
Count me in for sure! Havana actually takes some getting used to, agree it's gonna be polarising, it's one that grew on me after few wears, would be extremely difficult for under 40 to pull off however. Chanel PE is masterpiece, full stop. Also just watched part 1 before this vid and you're right when it comes to YSL Rive Gauche, it's THE barbershop frag! Have a can of it with roughly half left, using it sparingly as I'll miss it when it's gone, great perfumery...
Hey Dan, I find women not fans of these classic scent profiles. I am a big fan of them. My favourites being Jaques Bogart One Man Show, Hugo Boss Nb 1, YSL korus.
I’m wearing Chanel platinum egoist now on hols also with a bottle of paco pour homme My favourite bottle is also bois du Portugal . Going to go to the shops in a bit and see if I can find some Spanish splash on 🎉🎉
@@drknow608 😂😂no but I did bump into some azzaro pour homme First try on and thought it was a bit crap . After walking around for a bit, I thought it was awesome. Gonna get some of that and eBay an Alvarez Gomez 💪
@@adrianhargreaves2854 Sounds like a pretty good day, Azzaro is a classic , can't go wrong with that in my opinion and the other seems worth a try. I bought Floiid , I don't know if it's the Spanish or Italian but it's really nice, might be worth a try as well as it's not expensive.
@@drknow608 I’ll try anything, especially if it’s a cheapie.i love the cheap seats😂. I don’t mind expensive now and again but this hobby can get expensive and tiresome real quick . That’s why I love old spice and brut 😂
@@adrianhargreaves2854 I quite agree, I lived in Paris for twenty years and it was a goldmine for fragrances, you could visit many classic houses like Creed, Guerlain etc and try without paying. The one thing glaring missing was Old Spice , if you could fiñd it the price was at least €30 a bottle.
I'm almost halfway through my Havana bottle . So I will not be touching it anymore , for at least a year . Have you tried English Fern or Douro Eau de Portugal by Penhaligons ? Their is an ingredient that Sauvage , Platinum , Replica at the Barbers , and Rive Guache have in common . I believe it's the lavender .
Jo Malone Cypress and Grape Vine is a fantastic barbershop scent! One of the best I've put my nose on. It's a better greener version of Chanel Platinum Egoste, which I love.
Count me in (but I'm in continental Europe). Where else would you see Roja Scandal and Denim in the same list... and I have both of those (Roja Scandal Parfum Cologne and the Denim EdT, which is also maybe a bit Antaeus). Platinum Egoïste too, I was wearing the aftershave of that back in the 1990's.
"Count me in", Mr. Smellly. My barber shop icon was Oculto, by Lucienne Clerty, a 70's portuguese classic which, unfortunatelly, was discontinued many years ago. The barbers shop I prefer, which still exists, are: in 1st place, Bois du Portugal, by Creed; in 2nd place, Sartorial, by Penhaligons; the 3rd place goes to a designer fragrance, which is one of my daily TOP5 fragrances: Egoïste Platinum, by Chanel.
Count me in. 🪒A very generous gvwy at that! Really been getting into Bracken Man lately as an alternative to Havana. Less humid, more clove. Not sure I'd classify Heritage as a barbershop scent myself, but it's still an amazing balmy and spicy patchouli fragrance. In fact the last time I wore the edt, I was perspiring quite a bit working in the hot sun, and after about 4 hours, I suddenly started to smell A*Men. 😄 I was like, "what did I spray on today?? Certainly not A*Men..." 😂 But there you go. Apparently there's a bit of A*Men in Heritage. 🤪
I love barbershop fragrances especially the vintage smelling, I must mention Gravitas pour homme, is one of the most beautiful of this genre, I've ever smell next to Bois Du Portugal.
Lanier Smith gave your own branded fragrances a really high marked review... Worth taking what he says into consideration. He's among the top reviewers.
Finally found a bottle of Alt-Innsbruck Cologne so bought it. MDCI Le Barbier de Tangiers is very similar to Lancetti Monsieur. Chanel Platinum Egoiste is TOO metallic.
Ha ha! Always good to have Alvarez Gomes put in another appearance. But never select Alvarez Gomes and Acqua di Pino for the same video. Always one or the other!

When you learn to apreciate classic men fragances, your chanel, instantly, becomes a gem of TH-cam. Greetings from Uruguay
Count me in , been on an old school barbershop binge lately so thanks for the help
Count me in Mr. Smelly! The barbershop style is right up my alley and my favorite is Tom Ford Beau de Jour. That fragrance is a true masterpiece 🤌💪
Wearing Beau de Jour right now. My favorite and I have a bunch.
Same here, decided not to replace several others once I got my hands on this one.
Yes. Big fan of the Beau de jour."
I love YSL Jazz. Mr. Smelly hipped me to Dua, The Blues and I am so grateful!
Love these choices...Bois du Portugal certainly at the top. Great job!
Count me in!!! Nothing like a clean, barbershop smell. Works no matter what. Keep 'em coming, dan!!!?

Count me in! I feel this type of fragrance is back in fashion.
Count me in! My favorite type of fragrances. Aramis, Denim, Boucheron, green Jaguar, Zino just to name a few. So many to try, so many to discover.
“Denim, for the man who doesn’t have to try too hard…”
Was Floris on the list? I’m looking for one but don’t know where to start
89 and Elite

I'll add 2 more barbershops I love:
Pasha de Cartier
Carolina Herrera 212 NYC Men
Count me in! I love barbershop scents, and Brut is still the top one for me.
I can't believe you brought up havana. I just ordered that and tuscany by aramis. Was in the mood for some old school scents.
Great list Dan! What about another top 10, but cheapies? Thanks for the content 👍
