It's probably the next camera I will buy. I hope to add Insta360 footage to my rides next summer. My one concern is about how big the files are with that two-camera footage. To capture my footage with my GoPro on a 10-day trip, I used about six different SD cards, so I had to keep careful track of which card I was using and switching when they were getting full.
I've got one (version 3) and I love it! My videos are here on TH-cam as well! One thing I did was bought a pair of backup batteries that are in a charger that is plugged in via USB type C in my rear trunk on my 2023 Spyder RT Limited. This way, i can swap batteries out on the fly (at a stop), then recharge the last battery used. I also bought the GPS wearable so i can get telemetry.
I have the Insta360 One RS for my bike. I can switch from a 4K lens, to a 360 5K lens to the 1 Inch lens in just a few seconds. Super modular, long lasting batteries, lots of mounting choices and the option to power it via USB-C from my bike Aux power. Awesome camera systems.
I've had 3 Insta360 One X2 cameras. All of them shut off prematurely when used on a motorcycle. The current one usually gives me 12-18 minutes or so before shutting off. When I got it, I tested it on a table and it recorded for an hour no problem. The prior one gave me about 2-7 minutes before shutting off when used on a bike. Most of the time, the camera is not mounted where I can see that they've shut off or to restart recording, so I miss key footage. Needless to say, I'm rather unhappy with this. And since this is the 3rd camera that has done this, it will be my last from Insta360.
@@Ride_0n wow I didn’t have that problem with this one, but this was my first time using an Insta360. The camera stayed on for a few hours but I did have to make sure the setting were right for it not to go on standby.
my wife bought me a GoPro Max to record our motorcycle rides. For me there were so many cons as opposed to Pro's for using it. The editing is cumbersome. battery life stinks and settings for rides are not great. I live in a spectacularly beautiful part of the country nin NM and travel all over NM CO and UT. I have never been happy with my go pro footage. I plan on buying one of these.

Long video clips at 4k will probably be similar to GoPro but that would be an interesting comparison to see if the files sizes are in fact larger
Thanks Seth... your the only one I have seen to have covered this information. Very helpful indeed. 😊

Awesome, thank you Gord!
@GreatMotorcycleRoads This definitely the camera setup to get. 👍

This is a great camera. Actually is the only camera we used to film our clips for the entire 2024! Amazing video 🤘🏼😝🤘🏼
Totally agree!
Wow! Another greater-than-great review by GreatMotorcycleRoads! 👍

Nice, great tip! Thank you for the comment
Great video! I was considering a Go Pro and now the Insta seems like the best option.
Thanks! It’s a fun camera for sure

@@rocketsurgeon71 honestly the battery life was one of the most impressive things about the Insta360

Right on, you live in a great part of the country for capturing awesome roads! The 360 was lots of fun to edit afterwards
Wow! Great video!
How much? I would recommend pricing points “at the time this video was made.” Type
a google search would have taken less time than your comment
