Long Tank Train Knocks Down The Signal! Norfolk Southern Trains On CSX Main, Signals Go Green To Red

- Trains Knocking Down Signals On Both Tracks! Long Tank Train With Tank After Tank Behind Norfolk Southern Locomotives On CSX Main Line! Watch the signals drop over both tracks. These trains are in Glendale, Ohio on ex Baltimore & Ohio Railroad tracks just north of Cincinnati. 2 trains are seen changing the signals from green to red just past the railroad crossing of Sharon Road. A Canadian National locomotive is on the intermodal train on Track 2. Amtrak also goes over these busy tracks but usually in the dark. The signals here are relatively new. There use to be B&O color position signals in about the same location as these newer SafeTran signals. I miss those signals and have them in my older videos but it is still fun to watch the signals drop when the trains pass. Glendale recently became a No Train Horn Zone and I have videos showing the process of that construction. Trains can sneak up on you here unless you have a scanner programmed to 160.230 and even then the southbound trains might not be heard on the radio. Most trains here are northbound since this is directional, shared track. A few miles east of here is the southbound track which is owned by NS. Glendale has a local that runs through here everyday that use to use a caboose. I haven't seen a caboose on that local now for about a year. Does anyone know if they still run a caboose on that local? Do you like watching the signals change as trains pass? It's one of my favourite things about trains but I don't want to post them too much. I can't help but to watch the signals change as the trains pass but maybe that is just me. Leave a comment below. Comments help my videos just as much as rating the video.

Wow! Excellent catching all the trains in Glendale, Ohio, I like them, they're awesome, @JawTooth, Brian, thank you very much and have a nice day and night.
Thank you very much!
Good morning to you JT, and of course to Norfie and Chessie.
Ahh..."spring" in the Midwest, aka "Am I wearing short sleeves or a parka or both today?" Thanks from a new subscriber!
Thanks for watching!
Yep, Midwest spring
Sunday’s were made for Railfan videos. Thanks for making our Sunday Fun and Eventful. 😬👍
Glad you like them!
Glendale looks like a sweet little town to live in. Especially if you're a railfan of two railroads. Thanks JT!
Glendale is such a nice community. It has lots of big beautiful older houses with nice front porches. In the summertime when the trees are all full of leaves, it's extra pretty. One of the best restaurants in the Cincinnati area used to be not far from these tracks, The Grand Finale. They were around for 46 years, but they closed down earlier this year. They had awesome deserts and their signature dish was "Ginger Chicken." So sad to see it go. So many family meals took place there for our family and so many others. Graduations, anniversaries, birthdays, wedding reversal dinners, Easter, Mother's Day, you name it. Such a great loss.
Amtrak also passes through
@@JawTooth Interesting have never seen Amtrak come through there

Good memories!😊
Thank you for documenting these trains in Glendale, Ohio, Jaw Tooth. I like to watch trains knock down the signals too. Based on the wheel count on that Norfolk Southern tank car train, I calculated that there were 98 tank cars on that train.
Glad you like them! Thanks for watching Thomas!
Hi Jaw Tooth! Happy Sunday my friend! Love that old depot across the tracks. A lot of history in that old building.
Great video! Have a great day!!
Thanks for watching!
Good catches. Cool to see that CN engine. Norfie really likes that fish 🐟. Thanks for sharing!
Another outstanding video. 3 trains, 54, 98 & 88 cars respectively, no counting, just math and 2 knock downs on different tracks. Thanks for allowing us to listen in.
Glad you enjoyed it!
The last 30 sec's are always the best. Nice warm home, dogs, and cat. missed the black cat in this one. Good life!!
Love that Glendale crossing. Sitting on the Cock & Bull upstairs patio eating their GREAT Cod dinner is a plus to the trains. I really hated that they made it a no horn zone. That was part of the fun being right at horn level. Another great vid JT!
I just ate there yesterday and saw 3 trains. Thanks for watching!
Two nice trains roaring through. Thanks for the pets. See you on the next.
Thanks for watching!
I just have to tell you... I watch you every day with my grandson. We've been watching since he could sit up. I have tracks a block from my house and he LOVES to watch and listen for the trains. All that being said.. literally, one of his first things to say was Jaw Tooth., 😂 ❤
Thanks from Lafayette Louisiana

@@williamcoulston7788 Hello neighbor!
That is pretty good! Thanks for supporting my channel!
Have a great Sunday 🖐️🙂
Gotta like those big NS trains! That crossing has double gates, don't see that around here. The weather looks like around here, it snowed last night about an inch.
Glad to see you on here! Hope you are feeling well. We had a little snow, rain and hail yesterday, it was yucky. Its actually sunny here right now which is rare. lol
Hey WWOT hope you're feeling better. Oddly, we got rain in Ann Arbor and no snow.
@@billxam2674 Better you than me
Two of our favorite places to watch trains in the last two videos - Glendale and Hamilton, Ohio. Both places (at the municipal parking lots) can sometimes almost have a “party atmosphere” with so many train fans. Great place to get updates and information from fellow enthusiasts. Jaw Tooth - We do read the descriptions and appreciate you taking time both for the videos and the descriptions!
Very cool! I was in Glendale again on Saturday and Hamilton on Thursday. Thanks for watching!
A great long shot of that tanker train :) One of my favorites. The lashup on the last train was awesome - 4 engines so no lack of horsepower there :)
Thanks for watching!
Very nice trains Jawtooth! Thank you for amazing train videos! I enjoy your train videos very much! I love trains!
Thanks for watching!
I used to eat at restaurants in Glendale. Nice town!
And a great restaurant across the tracks while waiting! Thanks JT
You bet! I ate there again yesterday
Great video Jaw Tooth but sadly No horn zone bummer!
Great video! Love Norfie playing with the fish toy!
Thank you 🤗
Grooving On A Sunday Afternoon with Jawtooth
Thanks for watching!
You sir are absolutely welcome.
First train: 2 engines @ 6 axles ea. = 12 axles - 228 total axles = 216 axles/4 = 54 cars
2nd train: 2 engines @ 6 axles ea. = 12 axles - 404 total axles = 392/4 = 98 cars
3rd train: tougher to figure because well cars come in 3 and 5 linked car configurations. These configurations have a single bogie connecting said cars as in the five car configuration double axle, single, single, single, single, double, then rinse and repeat.
Note the proper crossing gate configuration. The entire crossing is blocked thus preventing any idjit from trying to go around the single crossing gates in order to beat the train.
Nice job awesome work stay warm
First train had a fair number of cars of phosphate off CSX getting the fields prepped for another growing season. Three weeks ago CP rolled 7 empty covered hoppers off the main line in Pewaukee WI. Those phosphate cars (IFRX. INTX etc) weren't mangled but due to their age didn't make it back down to spring break in Florida. No more beer pong or suntan lotion for them as they were cut up on site. Second train going back to Illinois or Iowa to reload with ethanol and train three was the JB Hunt steel wheel freeway. Most of your previous 🎥 showed people sitting around while lounging or dining at that location. What a difference a few months can make. Hand warmers anyone?
Listen to that EMD sing on that second train! REAL power! No Fake Props!!!
Good Afternoon Jaw Tooth. That a cool old train station.
Morning!
The intermodel was the best. Great one as usual !!!.
Glad you liked it!
Congratulation your video is very interesting

That's a bunch of Hazmat that's for sure.
Great trains, maybe I'll go here to railfan, is Glendale busy? Cool Canadian Pacific locomotive! Great video!
*Canadian National
That looks like a pretty decent spot to record some trains coming through although I've never been there before
It is a great spot. I was there yesterday again.
@@JawTooth absolutely correct
You can tell all three trains are fully loaded--the locomotive consist running at close to or at full power.
Thanks for watching!
The second train was awesome !!! "Tanks a lot" Jaw Tooth !!!
Nice and busy spot for filming, uh oh no DPU's, you'll get one next time !! 👍
Cool seeing all those tank cars, we deal with tanks in my job, they transload product from rail tankers into our truck tankers. 👍
Awesome VID !! 👍 👍
Thanks 👍
Enjoyed the video. Thank you.
Thank you too!
Awesome video! It was 60 here with sun. I like it when there are several engines.
Thank you very much!
You're a true master of this kind of videos!
Neat video with new railroad signals and gates and thanks for sharing! I noticed that with the first train, the engineer sounded the horn once and there must have been a reason in the quiet zone in this area. Maybe a pedestrian was going to try and cross the tracks with the approaching train? Who knows? Anyhow, I notice that the graffiti "artists" usually do not mess much with the black oil tanker cars like they do with the other cars, especially the white refrigerator cars.
Relaxing on a Sunday with Jaw Tooth . All crossings should be quadruple, but it's probably too expensive. Maybe if they were there would be less gate rummers. Nice video. Have a nice day 😊
Thanks for watching!
Cool trains. Thanks, Jaw Tooth.
Thank you too!

Thats a really nice crossing. I like that type of Bell that they use for the crossing its very cool with the sound. Cool video Jawtooth
Cool, thanks!
Tiffin Ohio is like that no horn zone, plus it goes over the sandusky river.
Hi Jaw Tooth I have just subscribed to 1960 Gambits per your request and the video is shot very well great job from High Prairie Alberta Canada Kevin James Stout
Great videos with chessie the train chasing pooch thumbs up

Good morning jaw tooth looking good
Great trains going bye asome love it beautiful nice 👌 👍
Lots of long trains. Always enjoyable. I love seeing Norfie and the doggos. Who does the paintings you show at the end of your videos? I like seeing them.
Great video, love the hammerhead (long end) of those CN G.E.s, remind me of old ALCOs. NS#1011 was working hard 😍
Thanks for watching!
Chessie, luckiest pup in the world! :)
Very nice video, you do a great job putting out videos.
Great excellent good video, mr Jaw Tooth.
That is a nice place to spot trains, see a CN working together with NS. But i hope to see also locomotives from Canada Pacific together with NS or CSX. On the mainlines man these guys have hurry.
Greet from Zandvoort the Netherlands.
Greetings Netherlands
EXCELLENT
Awesome video Brian
Thanks 👍

Ever since the advent of color TH-cam videos, I too, like to see the colors change, Señor Jaws. No need to explain the (your) strange fascination about that to me... I am up there in years myself and understand these things. You have nothing to apologize for or need to explain. How's your hearing? Mine's starting to go. Gracias por tu video. RT sends... envía... Puebla, México...
Days since train didn't run over crossing gate arm: 1
Thanks for watching!
Jaw Tooth, what was going on with NS. NS trains on CSX tracks? You said it was a no horn zone. But NS sounded for the crossing, and CSX didn't, 2 different locations? 1 long tank train, & 1 long intermodal. GREAT stuff!
Excellent train catches!
🚦 Have a great new week!!! 🚦
Thank you! You too!
Superb as always. My kin from Sagamore Hills send their regards. Happy Easter to you and the family, don't eat too many jelly beans.
Happy holidays! I was eating a jelly bean right when I was reading your comments! Lol
Nice job cheers Jt. Chris from England
The number one Norfolk Southern train that I like among all the diesel trains 🛤🚅🇺🇲👍
Thanks for watching!
Glendale is awesome!
I ate there yesterday at Cock N Bull
What did you have?
Keep America moving. Great video.
Always!
Cool!! The last train had 119 cars I think.
Thanks for sharing trains and also love the pets so cool
Thanks for watching!
Awesome video and watching and enjoying now too 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍😃😎❤
Thank you 🤗
Great catch’s jaw and second
Thanks for being so quick!
Very nice.
Jaw tooth, can you do a video in Lowellville, OH? they got some NS. CN, UP, and CSX trains there.
Wow JT the tanker train was just awsome. 🚂🇬🇧🆗
Thanks!
Question: Why no horns? Glendale regulation or something?
I was wondering the same thing. He blew it once and that was it when he was still some distance from the crossing.
Presumably a no-horn zone.
It's a no train horn zone
No horn zone? Where i am from i do not know of any no horn zones. A lot of tankers on that that one train. Nice enjoyable video.
Ferndale, Michigan is a No Horn Zone.
@@davidsquires154 Ok i am from Pennsylvania. There are probably some locations in my state but none that i know of in my area.
Super!
Thank you very much!
@@JawTooth You're welcome!
No idea if this would be of any interest or not but it's a pretty cool perspective on railroadin'. There's your channel which features a lot of in-town/street-running stuff which is WAY cool, there's Wide World of Trains which features fast stuff in NY (you already know about Mike), Then there's Dave at ccrx6670. Everything maintenance/construction as it pertains to mining/railroading there (PA), then there's Keith at Railroad Fans of the Cajon Pass (CA). VERY long trains there. 5-9 locos/double DPU/double pusher/all of the above on one train...etc.
Best of all worlds with THAT: Urban/60-70+mph/details/some extremely long stuff.
Anyways, passing along just to pass along.
I am familiar with all of them except the channel in Ca. I will check it out. Thanks!
JT - How many times have you been flashed by FRED? LOL
I wonder if NS had a derailment somewhere or track maintenance
going on for them to detour that
many trains over CSX right of way??
JT I hope you get to 170k subs quick, that will be cool and well earned!!!!
Nice to see the CN unit as 4th in lead.
Sure is!
Loved seeing the Canadian national locomotive with those two other engines Missy Canadian national locomotives over here in Canada and Canadian Pacific and BNSF sometimes
I don't know a lot about the railroad business, but I noticed that the trains did not use their whistle/horn when crossing at this intersection. Why is that?
Could be due to the double crossing gates
@@WideWorldofTrains Horn would still be required then, wouldn't it? For example, in case the gates weren't working. It's presumably a no-horn zone.
Its a "no blow" zone lol
Yes it’s a no train horn zone. Thanks for watching!
@@beeble2003 good follow up,👍
Special those new barriers. They completely close the level crossing, preventing cars from weaving around the barriers. Good. Btw, I have already asked you, what you mean with "that train is booking" (not sure if it writes as booking) . But you haven't answered yet. Hope you will do some time. Tnx.
When you were a kid, did you ever put stuff on the rails to get squished? Matchbox cars, GI Joes, Tonka trucks, green army men...
I put pennies on the track and small pebbles. I might have put a Matchbox on. Not sure but I use to have a huge collection of Matchbox and Hot Wheels. I still have some
I saw two locomotives at the head end of that big train - "DPU Alright!" for our friend 'Wide World of Trains" (quick recover, bud!"
Thanks for watching!
Chessie the dog was saying, 'You promised to stop at the dog park before we went train chasing.'
Hello I really enjoy these videos
Hey, thanks
Awesome video 👍😎🇺🇸

Good video Jawtooth
Thanks!
jaw tooth, are there any good railfan spots to film in the west chester area?
No horn on that crossing! Norfie🥰
Oh yeah!
Nice catch JT, 1st NS train had 54 cars, 2nd NS train had 98 cars and the 3rd NS train had 88 cars! I remember you saying it's a NO HORN ZONE so how come the first 2 trains blew their horns? Thanks for sharing this video son!
Cool, thanks! Yeah, I don't know. lol
😊Hoi Brian, tomorow here 20c/F68.summer is coming at last.i gonna film 🚋🚋🚋🚋🚋trains.with full HD and the gopro 6 black 4K UHD.wel i am curios or it works propperly.
My dog could hear the dog in the background.shes looking at the speaker wondering how that dog got in their.lol
Just as the title says, that first one was a LONG tanker train!!
I see you had a fan there, taking a picture of you before the 2nd train came LOL 😅😆
I see Norfie sure likes that fish toy!!
OW is right, why was Chessie biting your stocking foot, anyway??
Chessie likes to bike my feet when she wants a treat.
@@JawTooth Betsy (my cat) used to hide behind something, waiting for me to come walking near her.
When I got to her, she would jump out, wrap her front legs around my ankle, and sink her teeth tnto the top of my foot. She was playing, but those teeth are sharp. OW!!!
She doesn't do that anymore, which is a good thing. I think she has grown up, and knows I have problems with my balance now.
I just LOVE CHESSIE. She looks like she is half Beagle and half Blue Heeler. NORFIE seems to be one COOL KITTY. I must admit that I LOVE ANIMALS more than most people.
That is exactly what Chessie is. Thanks for watching!
ChainsawN&W1218, always enjoy Your videos, like 👍 seeing trains knock down the signal, I try to catch that sometimes, but sometimes the Sun will mess it up,wish they didn't have to have air horn ordinance, there's a place like that where I film.
Thanks 👍
