Absolute great. Bass lines and drums holding it...Strat and Marshall...talk me about tone...That is THE TONE....you can even hear the hum and static between notes....DC so bluesy...and JL a gentleman as usual...what a band...thanks Lord for DP.
This act was one of the high points of the direction heavy rock took in the '70's, musically at least. About as far as you can go without becoming progressive rock or something. Blackmore is basically a genius, along with a group of phenomenal talents, and a shrewd businessman. I love this music. 70's hard rock is my favorite kind of music, probably. I'm a guitar guy/musician who plays many styles.
Best version of all these songs, I bought this on 8 track, cassette, album and CD. Lost em all in a fire. Along with hundreds of others. Thanks for sharing.

No início o meu irmão que era proprietário do disco dizia que ia comprar o lp do Pipa Kkkkkkkkkk Depois acertamos: Deep Purple. Bons tempos aqueles . Meu pai e minha mãe estavam vivos aquela época e hoje descansam nos braços de DEUS . A DEUS Toda Honra e Toda a Gloria .
Disco excelente. Todos tocam muito, Coverdale e Hughes cantam demais. Mas fiquei feliz em ouvir com essa alta qualidade!! Dá pra ouvir cada instrumento com muita clareza!! PARABÉNS ao "rockfriend" que nos trouxe essa beleza!!

First time I saw Deep Purple was 1984 tour at Spectrum and 1977 Rainbow tour at Allentown Fairgrounds. Ritchie smashed his guitar to pieces and got it tangled in the rafters and untangled it and then playing on it with platforms on the ground, incredible sound, and the Texas Jam in 1985, plus 10 more times, last time in 1988 Monsters of Rock Meadowlands, plus 10 shows sprinkled here and there, wow. John Gutzweiler, Redlines,Ca.

when this record was launched it was a big blast, every teen went mad. no one expected such a masterpiece after made in japan but they did it.
"You Fool No One" is one hell of a jam. This was some serious head banging rock and roll for it's time. I love this band!!

It's subjective. For the majority it's the MKII lineup, they produced more consistent albums and nothing beats Made In Japan!
