  • This is the second rifle manufacturer we have put to the test with their Sub MOA guarantee. The Christensen Arms Ridgeline is an amazing hunting rifle, and did not disappoint.

I have a CA Ridgeline Scout in 223. Im averaging in the 4's with this rifle
Very impressed for I am old and probably don't shoot as good as the rifle is capable of.

I owned a ridgeline in 308 win. After a 100 rounds down the pipe. It would shoot 1/2 moa all day long. Before that we don’t even want to talk about it. I called them and talked to a representative and was told shoot a 100 round through it and if it still shooting 1 1/2-2inch groups call us back. Well after a 100 rounds it tightened up to 1/2 moa at all distances. After 250 rounds I had to bed the action because their spot bedding fell out. So long story short after 250 rounds and a complete action bed with Devcon steel putty. The rifle shot great

I have a Christensen Arms Ridgeline FFT 300 PRC Stainless Left Hand Bolt Action Rifle - 22in . This rifle shot just under 3" groups with 212 eldx and and 220 eldm, factory loads. Rifle was jamming these factory loads into lands. The rifle was short throated and was sent back to factory. Turn around was about 2 weeks. They put a new barrel on it and shot it under 1 moa . The rifle shoots about .600 " groups now! Christensen arms customer service well make it right ! They need better quality control ! This rifle should have never got out of factory. I think they have made major changes in quality control. Very pleased with rifle now.

I have owned 6 Christensen Ridgelines (2 with the new FFT stock) two were .300 Win one was a 30-06 and two more were chambered in .308 Win. I found them to be very picky but eventually i had every one shooting sub-moa with my handloads but none of mine shot as good as the one in this video, the rifle in this video is a "tack driver"

Just got my Christiansen MPR in .308. It’s a lightweight hunting rifle in a chassis with a 16” barrel. Love the short barrel, especially with a suppressor. Has the same sub moa guarantee. With Federal Gold Medal Match ammo (175 grain Sierra match king) it’ll shoot sub 1/2 minute. But with every hunting ammo I’ve tested it’s a minute and a half to 2 minute gun. Got it for hunting, so I’m hoping to develop a load using either a Hornady 178 ELD-X bullet or something similar. The other thing that bothers me is that they include a Triggertech adjustable trigger, but state that if you adjust it, you void the warranty? But, so does shooting hand loads, and that’s what I plan on shooting, so it will definitely be adjusted!

My own experience was about 110 rounds before i got good accuracy. Before that was just over 1 inch at 100 yards. Talked to 5 other guys since then and same issues for them. After 125 rounds now at 200 yards im shooting 3/8 in groups. Im happy now but cost a lot in ammo to get that and yes im an experienced shooter not a beginner.

@@troyc5623 thanks for your comment, this is not unusual at all, depending on the level of accuracy you are looking for. We know many shooters that take up to 200 rounds before their rifle settles in to it's ultimate accuracy. There are many reasons for this that we won't get into in this conversation but I'm thinking it would make a great video. You can read on numerous websites about the break in process and see what you think. We appreciate you watching.

Awesome video! I have the same rifle and it’s also a tack driver. How often do you strip the carbon and copper clean in your barrels? I hunted with 5 fouling shots down the barrel this year and it did good. Also- I saw your Alaska brown bear hunt. When you hunt in the rain what do you do to ensure your rifle doesn’t rust on multi day hunt?

I have a Christensen ridgeline fft in 22-250. I have tried at least 10 different types of production ammo and unfortunately it gets between 1 3/4” to 2 1/4” groups at 100 yards. I got tired of spending money and trying to find additional different ammo so I gave up on it. It has a Leupold scope on it that I know works very well. I took it off of my Bergara in 22-250 that gets 1/2” groups at 100 yards, so I know it’s not the scope. I went through the whole barrel break in process because the Christensen cost me so much money. So it’s been sitting in the safe wasting away. It unfortunate because I was hoping it would work out because I do a lot of walking when I coyote hunt. The weight was the reason why I decided to buy it, but it’s no use to me if it can’t group 1” or better at 100 yards.

I swapped barrels on the 26 a few years ago went to a brux and it shoots lights out now I will never own another carbon fiber barrel from christensenarms. The Ridgeline sits in the closet collecting dust now I can't sell it to anyone knowing it's a pos I just couldn't do that to someone but evidently christensenarms doesn't feel the same way.
