I used to have a couple of local pubs like this. So many happy memories. Unfortunately times changed, not for the better and they are now gastro pubs or Witherspoons. Soulless places. We even got chucked out of Witherspoons for singing Christmas carols after a few shandys. Sad times.
Damn straight! We still have nights like this once a month. A girl comes down and plays her guitar and you can get up and sing along with her, if you’re brave enough. It’s my favourite night of the month. Cannot wait to get back down there and for all this to be over. We deserve a good night out now. 🥳 🍻🕺

Between 1990 and 1994 I had my best and worst four years at a job as a chef in Scunthorpe at the mallard .I was 16 drunk most nights lock ins juke box blaring out songs like this and oasis stone roses this brings tears to this old mans eyes fabulous guys just awesome Thankyou

This is perfection! I lost my daughter 3 years ago at the age of 15. She had epilepsy and other special needs, but she experienced life in her short life way more vividly than anyone else I know. I love your version of this song which sums up her precious life. Thank you.

I got here from watching the other version where they were playing this song live in the pub. I 've obviously heard the song before (although I'm an oldie) but just didn't realise how good it sounds live and what a great job, really enjoyed it.

April 1st 2021 I've had 6 people die on me in the last few months. Sad yes.... But more importantly they were struggling souls and I bonded with them ....because I have no one left in my life.. no fiends no family a 1 person soul. I guess I bonded with those beautiful people I met and they made complete just for a brief short time. I am blessed.
