    i can see it's been all about Hudsons for you lately. Same for me! Just picked one up and am trying to get it running.

    That streamlined engine is really cool, even though it's missing a bit of side rods. I figured out one way they saved money by using standard solder lugs for part of the eccentric rods! Soldering those in place is tricky if they break off.

    I am under the impression that A.C. Gilbert offered the first ready-to-run HO trains.

      Bing offered RTR HO in 1922 wind up ..electric in 1925.
      Trix in Germany RTR 1937
      Mantua was offering on a limited basis RTR Nov- Dec 1937 an HO set
