    Thank you Mr Schott!
    There seems to be no simple 70s/80s "analog" Bass, Brass & Lead sounds being demoed or created on The Wavestate - even though it is VERY capable.
    Every "retro" soundset created so far, is drowned in reverb - and 99% of the 80s Bass/Synth preset sounds are completely unusable in a 'song' composition.
    Pretty much all of the 3rd-party sound-packs available are way too "busy" and "over the top" sounding for anything other than sound-design.
    A smart sound designer will make some SIMPLE classic Oberheim, Moog and Juno/Jupiter patches/soundsets for the Wavestate, and will make good money doing so!
    I know it's primarily a wave sequencer, but these classic sounds need to be available FIRST on any capable synth for full flexibility in live performance/composition.
    I would immediately buy a classic Oberheim, Prophet, Moog and Juno/Jupiter sound pack if you ever decide to make one! 👍

      @@MaikSchott I think it's a great idea. If you created a comprehensive sound set of "vintage, classic, basic" sounds , and offered some tutorials on how to to create them, it would be a sensation! Thanks again!

      I very agree on this one! For instance, I'm crazy about FM, number 1 reason is the EP, followed by the more mild sounds you can make with it. Of course factory patches - and this applies to more synths - have to demonstrate the very extreme capabilities of a synth. Cool, but not what I'm looking for. Just give some of the versatile and timeless sounds and it keeps me happy for many hours.

      Thank you! It's honestly not a lot of grading but more the choice of lighting the scene.

    Ah, ein Prodigy, damals mein Erlöser nach einem MiniKorg 700S! 🙂
    Genau wie du benutze ich den WS oft als ‚analogen Synth‘. Es gibt herrliche Prophet-, Oberheim- und Moog-Waveforms!
    Entscheidend für den Toto-Effekt ist aber, dass du auch weißt, wie man die Spielweise von Brass-Sections auf einem Keyboard simuliert! Super! 👏
    Last but not least: Programs lassen sich auch am Gerät selbst kopieren, vermutlich in den Utilities. Bin gerade nicht dran. ☺️

    • @MaikSchott
      @MaikSchott  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Ja das mit den Programs geht, aber dann muss man sie vorher speichern und dann kann man sie erst auf andere Layer kopieren.

    I love your videos! I was wondering if you could do a one where you recreate the iconic sounds from the band Mr. Mister as wave sequences. Thanks for all the great content! They inspire me to play more of my novation summit.

      Thank you Mitchell. Naming Mr. Mister brings back a lot of memories from songs like Kyrie and broken wings! Thanks for the suggestions - might take a while but I take it for consideration!

    instead of creating multiple layers for the same sound (detuned) can't you just add more unison voices to the layer and detune those? Maybe that feature is the reason they don't have "copy layers" on the system.

    • @MaikSchott
      @MaikSchott  ปีที่แล้ว

      You could do that, sure. To me it's a different sound. It depends on what you want to hear

    Can you create the sound effects on the song "Dream Weaver" by Gary Wright?

    • @sub-jec-tiv
      @sub-jec-tiv 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It’s all about the square-wave LFO! First, set your pitch envelope with very slow/long release, so you get that long wave-pitch going down. Then use a square-wave LFO on the pitch of your oscillator as well. Try triangle or sine wave for the oscillator. Put some phaser on it, and some reverb. Boom, done!

    How to copy and paste layer??

    • @MaikSchott
      @MaikSchott  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      With the editor it's easy, you just click on the layer and copy paste. In the WaveState itself of course you can also do it but it takes some time as you have to save the program first, give it a name and then assign it to the next layer.
