Important note for Inheritance Trilogy, when you do get to the end the Omnibus is missing a short story called "Not the End" Atleast I couldn't find it when I was perusing a copy at the book store (cause I read library copies and need to own these) and that short story after the third book made my heart have so many feelings.
I didn't know Walter Moers was known on Booktube aside from Germany! I have only read one book by him so far, but I adored it, and I am ready to dive into his world.
The City of Dreaming Books seems really interesting, and the fact that the main character is a Dinosaur YES~ I also really need to pick up the Inheritance Cycle
Erik Larson is an incredible non-fiction writer. My favourite of his books is Dead Wake. That book made me REALLY emotional (you'll understand why when you read its synopsis).
The only books I finished in February were Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix and Girls of Paper and Fire! Girls of Paper and Fire was definitely my favorite though!
I finished reading the Last Samurai by Helen Dewitt this evening. Extremely unique and difficult to describe. Definitely one you can get a sense of by flicking through and perusing some of the odd passages. I'm so glad you mentioned walter moers. I had forgotten I have a copy of captain bluebear hidden somewhere.. It's been sitting there over ten years waiting to be read. It might be finally due!
I'm a mom of 5 who loves to read ♡ Now as a mom I'm lucky to finish one book a month! Just started some audiobooks to help me continue my books while cleaning and constantly driving
I read Ninth House in February and it was so good! It’s not something I’d usually pick up, but I’d heard so many great things from everyone here on BookTube that I had to give it a try, and I ended up loving it!
The devil in the white city was what got me into the idea of reading non fiction because I loved it so much. Then I read shot stabbed and poisoned assignation through the ages and I can’t stop reading nonfiction now.
Walter Moers is a German treasure! I'd definitely also recommend The 13 1/2 Lifes of Captain Bluebear and Rumo. All of his books take place in the same fantasy world of Zamonia and all of them are so charming!
I read 9 books in the month of February which were air awakens saga, a time of war and demons and re reading the hunger games trilogy In total I've read 24 books this year already (without including mangas, tho a lot of them were art books and a graphic novel so they were easy to read) I'm so interested by the Romanov's book, I want to read it so much and all the books you said are now in my tbr list
I Read most of Walter Moers books And he is one of My favourite Authors. I would recommend Rumo, it takes Place in the Same world but Feels more like an Action adventure, one Of my absolute faves!
i always love your wraps ups and all your videos they are just so through. I ordered The Fifth season because you recommended it and also reading Two Drake Reigns...thank you for introducing me to this series...I am in awe. I read Dark Matter, Moth Smoke and My Plain Jane in February.
Six books is a really good number! I should read more unread books on my shelf - especially those which have been there for 10+ years. My most recent books are in my wrap up video. 😉
My February Wrap-Up: Let Me Hear a Rhyme by Tiffany D. Jackson (3 stars), Daughter of the Pirate King by Tricia Levenseller (3 stars), Of Fire and Stars by Audrey Coulthurst, re-read (5 stars), The Black Witch by Laurie Forest (4 stars), Simon vs the Homo Sapiens Agenda by Becky Albertalli, re-read (5 stars), The Kingdom by Jess Rothenberg (3.5 stars), Long Way Down by Jason Reynolds, The Beautiful by Renée Ahdieh
I went ahead and bought A City of Dreaming Books - looking forward to it. And I absolutely loved A Heart So Fierce and Broken - can't wait for the sequel.
A really great nonfiction book is Dr. Mutter's Marvels - just enchantingly written and chilling a bit at the same time! I might give it a reread this year.
I AM going to pick up all the books you mentioned, hopefully within 2020. I never regretted anything I picked up after you regretted. The Truly Devious series is just my favorite. Thanks for introducing it to me.🙂
I also am not a massive nonfiction person when the writing isn't engaging but if you enjoyed Devil in the White City, Dead Wake is another strong Erik Larson book but it's about the Lusitania. It features British war room secrets, WWI history, and one of my favorite friendships in history: Theodate Pope and Edwin Friend- a socialist architect and a philanthropist aristocrat enamored with the science of talking to the dead, but trying to survive a sinking cruise.
There’s something so unsettling about Jess Kidd’s books but they’re also super compelling. I’ve read the Hoarder and Things In Jars so I’m very keen to check out her other books.
Things in Jars is a very chilling and dark book; I didn't think that I would have enjoyed reading this novel as much as I did. I kind of wish that it was a series, not just a standalone, but I feel like I wouldn't want it to be a long series.
A great stranger than fiction story, that I listened to recently is "Code name: Lise" about a french/english who became the most highly decorated Spy in WW2 despite being a woman plus a great love story
@@beatricetoscano2247 yes its really funny, its fantasy with so much different aspects (funny, malicious, full of fantasy, thrilling etc.) i liked it, its such an imagniative universe :)
Looked up The City of Dreaming Books on Amazon to buy in the future and in 2013 he came out with Labyrinth of Dreaming Books: A Novel . I did not know if you knew this or not.
Great wrap-up, Regan! (I hope I'm spelling you're name right.) I'm obsessed with N. K. Jemesin. She is such an amazing writing. I own and have read that trilogy twice already. Probably reread it again soon.
I think that copy of the Inheritance Trilogy is a bind up of all the novels? Are there two more coming out after the three included? So excited if there is! Love her!
You really make me want to read nonfiction and I usually have no interest in nonfiction. But if I read Devil in the White City and Romanovs I can just pretend they’re fiction 😂😂
I really love your videos but the amount of ads you put in them during the past few weeks is getting slightly annoying 🙈 not hate I understand that you need to earn money but I just wanted to point it out 😊💕
Wow, I wouldn't have expected to see Walter Moers on an american Booktube channel. This makes me very happy \0/ Hope you didn't mind the Mythenmetz Excursions ^^
Being behind on a goodreads goal is an absolute mood
Oh i love it.. well said❤
I'm 5 books ahead! Pick up your game!! Hehe just kidding
NickieB well done!

I loved The Hundred Thousand Kingdoms, too! I’m so glad you talked about it, because it feels like so few people have read it.

I remember when you first added Romanovs to your tbr and now I feel like we’ve come full circle

Such a good reading month!

I’m going to pick up A Curse so Dark and Lonely this month and I can’t wait!! Love your channel!!!
I hope you enjoy reading it, I LOVED it and I‘m currently reading the sequel which is just as great 😭😭😭
Thanks for the lovely video! I'm a big fan of N.K. Jemisin's The Broken Earth Trilogy, and you've inspired me to try The Inheritance Trilogy.
So many good ones in here I want to check out!! ✨

Glad you had such a great reading month!! I’ve been wanting to pick up Things in Jars so glad you loved it!
the city of dreaming books sounds soooo good omg i had never head about it before
THE CITY OF DREAMING BOOKS IS MY FAVORITE BOOK!!! It's so underrated and I'm so happy you read it!!!!
Mine too :-)
There’s something so unsettling about Jess Kidd’s books but they’re also super compelling. I’ve read the Hoarder and Things In Jars so I’m very keen to check out her other books.
I didn't read much during February but I'm currently reading Girl, Woman, Other by Bernadine Evaristo
Things in Jars is a very chilling and dark book; I didn't think that I would have enjoyed reading this novel as much as I did. I kind of wish that it was a series, not just a standalone, but I feel like I wouldn't want it to be a long series.
Glad you loved Devil in the White City. It was one of the first nonfiction books I enjoyed as well.
Proud of you for finishing The Romanovs! Look at you go. 😉👏🏻
haha I had the same thing where I felt I didn't read anything all month but turned out I'd read 6 books too!
A great stranger than fiction story, that I listened to recently is "Code name: Lise" about a french/english who became the most highly decorated Spy in WW2 despite being a woman plus a great love story
the best and the best book is "where the madness sing" in amazon kindle It's really cool I am shocked
you should also check out "The 13½ Lives of Captain Bluebear" from Walter Moers, also very funny :)
Really?? A friend gave it to me as a Christmas gift and I was fearing it was too childish
@@beatricetoscano2247 yes its really funny, its fantasy with so much different aspects (funny, malicious, full of fantasy, thrilling etc.) i liked it, its such an imagniative universe :)
Ooooo! You have me so interested in the Romanovs!
John Brownjohn is the translator?! Wow! Small world - he also translated Mimus which was a interesting medievalish read.
I can’t wait to read N K Jemisin! I did just read a novella of hers called The City Born Great and it was soooooo good.
Loved the video 💛 I'd like to read The Inheritance Trilogy after the Broken Earth series that I'm currently reading, N.K. Jemisin is amazing!
I really need to hurry up and read some N.K. Jemisin soon, all her books sound amazing!!
“In The Garden of the Beasts” is another good one from Erik Larson. I LOVED “Devil in the White City” and was hooked on Larson.
I finished acowar and acofas at the end of February! !! They were so good!
Looked up The City of Dreaming Books on Amazon to buy in the future and in 2013 he came out with Labyrinth of Dreaming Books: A Novel . I did not know if you knew this or not.

I audiobooked Romanovs a few years ago, I love listening to non-fiction
LOVE your videos! Thank you Regan 😍
you got my like for the way you pronounced Walter Moers. I loved it! had to laugh so hard 😂😜
The Romanovs is on my TBR for this year- kinda scared re the length though plus the density.
I really liked “Mr. Flood’s Last Resort” by Jess Kidd. I will have to pick up “Things In Jars” soon! 👍
I want to read some of nk jemisin.
Devil in the white city seems so cool
I loved this video. I love your sweater too! Could I ask where you got it from?
The Romanovs ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Great video!
You are so cute, you can wear anything and look super cute!
❤❤❤
Regan : I read 6 long books in february!!!!
Me : Waiting for this stupid reading slump to be over😈😈😈😈
You really make me want to read nonfiction and I usually have no interest in nonfiction.
But if I read Devil in the White City and Romanovs I can just pretend they’re fiction 😂😂
nice
There’s no way the city of dreaming books wasn’t inspired by sandman lol
I really love your videos but the amount of ads you put in them during the past few weeks is getting slightly annoying 🙈 not hate I understand that you need to earn money but I just wanted to point it out 😊💕
YAFanGirl there’s only two though? (4 if you count the beginning and end, but those are on almost all videos)
You only have to watch like 5 seconds of them
You read only novels for teenagers.
Wow, I wouldn't have expected to see Walter Moers on an american Booktube channel. This makes me very happy \0/
Hope you didn't mind the Mythenmetz Excursions ^^
