A couple of tips for when performing maintenance--When changing needles, place a piece of hooped stabilizer on the machine. It will catch the little screws which hold the needle in place should they fall out. Also, a magnetic dish is great for holding the needle plate screws.
You should also be changing your needle after every 3 full bobbins. I change mine daily. I have over 30 years experience repairing machines. Get a black light flashlight and you can see all the lent, thread and dust.
Thank you so much. I've had my 6 needle for years and had given up on the wipers working correctly. Your video showed me that taking that top plate off is an absolute necessity. I'm embarrassed at the amount of thread that was in there. They work beautifully now.
Hi Angela. Not sure how you are looking so pretty with all the work of moving and keeping your business going. Great make up!! Thank you for the video!!
Good morning Angela, thank you so much for this embroidery machine maintenance video, it was very much needed. That will be my first priority this day! Take care and have a blessed day😊
Offset screwdriver at 3:00 is done easier with an offset Ratchet screwdriver, less chance of losing screws. Sent one to you a couple weeks ago. Did comment, but it did not post...lol
Thanks. I have been doing all of that except I have not taken my tension knobs off to clean. I better give those a look. I also need to check my manual again too. I noticed you went around the last metal pegs before going down to thread. My training had me not circling around that peg; just making sure it was to the right of the peg. Its a Baby Lock. I will check my manual. Good video.
This was VERY helpful. I have the Babylock Enterprise 10 needle, bought around 2015. When I remove the bobbin plate, I don’t have the plastic piece. Evidently it’s not critical or is it? I do oil frequently and have gotten oil on clothing I embroidered. Bad! Regardless, my dealer never taught me all the maintenance steps and I’ve never taken it in for service. My machine is located upstairs and it’s way too heavy for me to manage. The Destiny is my limit. I embroider for a hobby but at least now I know of other maintenance areas that I should take care right away. Thank you.
I was worried about getting a brother multi needle machine when I am ready for one because of having to take it to a dealer for maintenance but if I can do it myself that would be great. I’m disabled and would never be able to take the machine myself with or without help.😁
What machine is easiest to learn and maintain? Or, should I say what would recommend the most for me to buy? Want more than just a single needle and would love a much larger hoop than the PE800.
Hey Angela, what needles do you use for your brother entrepreneur 6-plus pr670e? Thank you! I am currently doing hats frequently and am trying to find a sharper needle option but dont even know where to start
Hi Angela, very informative video! ? So my Melco arrived one week ago but I'm still waiting for training. I have been looking at videos in the meantime, I've got it treaded and everything it's connection to the software is giving me a lil problems. Is there any way I can email you to see if you can give me a.bit of advice or a mini walk thru. As I'm typing this I just realized how very busy you are with the move and everything else so if you can't I understand. Thanks 🙂❤️
Sister Angela I’m pastor Benjamin from India Many of our children and young women lost their parents we are taking care we need sewing machine and computer desk has helping aid , even if u give used one also will be happy to have sister
Can air just moves dust and threads deap into the machine, doesn't freeze it and repairmen use it because they are opening up and cleaning everything, in places we can't get into. Don't use can air for any reason we pay to much for these machines not to take care of them correctly.
@@designingwithdani2859 using air pushes every bad thing into the machine. I use a brush and long tweezer pulling the threads out. I do this at every bobbin change. I use a black light to see everything that isn't seen with just our eyes. My machine has over 30 billion stitches and never a problem. I worked on fixing machines for over 30 years and air causes so much damage and it doesn't freeze like she said.
Canned air is horrible for the environment. We need to be more responsible for the sake of our children in the products we use... Cotton is better then all this HTV vinyl that doesn't biodegrade. Let's keep this in mind people!

You are a champ! You still manage to film a video during your whole transition of moving thank you for supporting us by educating us on everything.
Great tips! Don't forget the bobbin case too, lint builds under the flap and can really cause bobbin tension issues!
Yes indeedy!

Hey Angela. Have you changed your needle threader? I bent mine. I was wondering if it’s something I could do myself. Thanks for the tips. Thanks Lisa
Love you energy 🙌🏼

What if my baby lock machine doesn’t have the white plastic part in the needle plate? Would I need to purchase one or can I use my machine without it?

I think in that haul from two months ago she mentioned it’s from the same place as the canned air
Stupid question here. Does removing that tension disc mess up the tension?

Bad no air. Worst thing you could ever do to your machine.

What would you recommend then?

Do you wrap the thread two times around the top tension or just once?
