With the amount of hiking you have done, I'm amazed you haven't heard them, hard to go on a Lamington walk without hearing a few!
Well, now I can't unhear it.... :)
Cool! Never seen or heard of them 😀
Haha yeah I've heard them around the Sunny Coast hinterland
Green cat bird. Plenty around Mt Glorious.
Well, now I know. Never heard it last time I was here, but I'm sure I always be hearing it now!
Catbird.
First heard it on the Booyong Walk Border Ranges, plenty around Lamington as well. Definitely a bit freaky hearing it the first time.
For many years i wondered what this bird was after briefly hearing it whilst camping at sheepstation creek campground. It was that loud that a 'Karen' type came over to our campsite to enquire to what the noise was. She didn't believe us when we told her it was a bird. She continued to snoop around assuming that some nefarious situation had occurred.
I love the sound of catbirds. Only ever heard them in forests up around the glasshouse mountains. My favourite bird sound EVER!
Well, now it's my favourite sound too now I know what it is 😅
What a fascinating little bird.. WOW
Surely you’ve heard a catbird before? They’re pretty awesome! 😊
No, literally never heard these before. First for everything, even after all these years, lol.
100 Percent A Baby Yowie!
Lol.... yep, with wings!
I was once confused when I heard children giggling up a tall tree. It turned out to be the pet crow of my Amish neighbor. Apparently the crow was mimicking the sound of the Amish kids.
Yeah never heard that before, lucky it wasn't at night that would've been creepy.
Yep, at night it would have been a whole different story, lol!
