Not all MAS staffs have 'tidak apa attitude'. Many years ago, my family and I checked in the counter and to get out flight ticket tickets. To our horror, we didn't apply for visa. We were helpless and about to burn our flight tickets. Fortunately the young Malay staff at the counter offer us help. She asked a young male staff to immediately apply visa via online for three of us. Because of that, we managed to fly. It was a Ramadan month, we were so grateful that I gave both of them a big 'tip' to make a great meal when they break fast. I couldn't thank them enough. May God bless them. 😊

MAB has great staff but top is tidak apa, never cared about their pay. The formula for success, i really doubt with the current delaying flights, ain’t going anywhere. Plus the nation is going forward for high pay job, still their cabin crew are the lowest paid. Soon there is no crew to fly if no improvement to the salary adjustment. This person was once known a double standard pattern creator. We will soon know whether going better or worst. The most important clue was there has been rumours prior to last election, he will be removed. Hopefully, he is to be removed asap.

My wife and I flew business on MAS in 2022 from KL to Phuket and we were very satisfied with the service. The plane was in a very good condition and spacious. Yes, it was managed badly in the past, Mh370 and 17 did not help but I think they are seriously trying to change and to be better. I really hope it will work out well. For your information, I live in Switzerland and we do not own our own national carrier, Swiss is owned by Lufthansa. Formerly known as Swissair was even grounded for failing to pay its debts.

So much is said about improving shareholder value, next to nothing is said about improvements on total customer satisfaction especially with frequent non-performance issues full fare paying customers face on their terribly old and poorly maintained twin-isle aircraft (broken IFE, deflating business class seats). Other than the candy-floss sprinkling of "reinvestments" and the promise of new aircraft that won't see the light of day for a while, what short term solutios have been put in place to ensure customers are not shortchanged when flying MH being a full service airline. MAG has iterated in their 2023 Malaysia Airlines Commercial Elevation video released a few months ago that they will be up there with the best in economy class and business class. I look forward to MAG walking their talk and hope to experience high quality levels of product and service similar to the likes of SQ, QR, CX EK, JL, TK etc in the very near future. It would be sad if this turns out to be hoax.

Forget about competing with renown gold standard airlines like Singapore Airlines, Asiana and ANA. Catch up with Garuda Indonesia Airways first. Garuda under the stewardship of Indonesia entrepreneur Chairul Tanjung (a trained dentist who helms his own CT Corp, brought in by Indonesia government to revive Garuda), has changed for the better. Garuda gives the best value, effectively a business class seat on Garuda equals to one economy class seat on Singapore Airlines for the same flight sector. Service level though not SQ standard and level yet, but far more acceptable than those of MH. At least there are no over-aged and over-sized cabin crew strutting up and down the alley of the plane. However, COVID 19 pandemic and its immediate aftermath did take a tool on Garuda's finances, with its trailblazing unrated USD Sukuk (well bought and supported by Arabian Gulf institutional investors and banks) having to be restructured. Garuda is back on its feet and its customer services, both in flight and on the ground are commendable. Watch Sam Chiu's TH-cam series to find out for yourself! So, wake up, Malaysia Airlines, you have to now take on a competitor which you cast aside long ago due to biases. Indonesians whom we look down as our house maids and palm oil plantation workers, can provide quality customer care services far more effectively than those at MH customer care centre. Forget about Singapore Airlines, Malaysia Airlines is too far down the abyss of the competition ladder. If the tidak apa attitude that is inbuilt into Malaysia Airlines' customer care staff continues to reign supreme, Malaysia Airlines just need to own up that it is an extension of the Ministry of Transport, and by then, Ah Loke needs to figure out what to do. No point being Shiok Sendiri, Captain Izham, Mr CEO!🤣

Without prejudice, Malaysians need to fly foreign airlines only will know how much MAS is behind in both hardware (it’s planes) & services. It is such a pain & torture when you have to fly in their ancient A300s especially to Osaka, Auckland, Doha & etc. Services is a cringey when the food standard is mediocre & with no consistencies. The last straw is when MAS closes it’s Golden Lounge in London. MAS did survived by / via code sharing flights (with other superior airlines) & the loyal Malaysians’ domestic flights. God bless MAS

We have heard this from multiple different MAS CEO over the past 20 years, the airline then went on to lost tonnes of monies again. Pls captain, the next time MAS get into trouble again, don't ask taxpayers to bail you out AGAIN. We have sunk literally billions, and MAS has repaid us with constant losses, and a far far far inferior service next to SQ, CX etc. This is embarrassing

Have not been communicating on any proactive stance taken to allay passenger fears and concerns on recent safety issues on such MAS fleet.

Please ensure you have accurate facts, especially when it comes to technical terms and acronyms. I recommend researching the Fleet Renewal Program thoroughly. There is a plenty and tons of information available online that you can refer to before asking questions. It's important to note that the B737-8 and B737-9 are two different aircraft types.

Malaysia Airlines has awful customer care services which is manned by tidak apa attitude stricken support staff. Buying Boeing 737 is bad choice since this aircraft type has continuously unresolved technical issues that threatened passenger safety. During height of COVID 19 Pandemic, this carrier cancelled flight last minute without prior notification. I was at airport and no Malaysia Airlines support staff bothered to show up. When asked over phone as to what happened? The response was ask for refund, we could not help you anymore. It was Singapore Airlines which bothered to help me find a flight back and helped with overnight stay at airport hotel. I am a SQ frequent flyer member and I thank my lucky star for that. Malaysia Airlines continues to bleed taxpayers’ money and for it to truly recover, a customer service first mindset needs to be instilled, and applied. I doubt that is possible since tidak apa attitude is so prevalent and pervasive. Try calling customer care at 3am in the morning and ask them to help with missing luggage in far flung New Zealand and see how they react to you. Totally shameful to use moniker of MH to mean Malaysia Hospitality. How hospitable when your Malaysia Airlines care staff go by tidak apa attitude since to them their job is a fixed pay job anc nothing more. 😂

@@philiptanchingleong3532 Buying and anticipating delivery of 737 Max 8 not smart at all. A320neo much better aircrafts since it was designed from anew to fit and accommodate larger engines. In fact, the future will be A320 XLR, which can fly from Perth to London non-stop, 180 pax to ensure easier fulfilment of high throughput. I do not see new 737 having this extra long range capacity when the switch needs to be flicked. New 737, the structure and platform date back to 1968 design. Boeing being overwhelmed by bean counters saw the need to compete head on with A320neo in double quick speed without having to spend lots of money and waste years getting a replacement model to 737 which can house larger engines without affecting the aerodynamics features. Singapore Airlines after co-opting Silk Air bought and took delivery of new 737 too, but demanded a refit and adjustments. Boeing needed Singapore Airlines as a showcase customer for confidence building agreed. There is a TH-cam video detailing the ills at Boeing after a complete audit and investigation were done at both corporate and operational level. New 737 max in the words of internal email amounted to "designed by clowns, supervised by monkeys" fortune.com/2020/01/10/designed-clowns-supervised-monkeys-internal-boeing-messages-slam-737-max/ With so much of headwind and given Malaysia Airlines' current market repute badly battered by loss of MH370 (still no clear statement for chapter closure from Malaysia Airlines), Mr CEO and his so-called conscientious civil service board members should understand time is not right to plunge into new 737 max, however "cheap" the price may be. DO NOT believe that the rot only stays with 737 Max 9. Financial markets doubt that and Boeing is losing money which in turn is reflected in its share price. By the way, Boeing makes more money making military planes for the US government than competing in the commercial airliner business. A350-1000 triumphs over Boeing 787, in terms of capacity, fuel efficiency and ease of operation. The era for US domination in commercial airliner is near the end.

The B787 is not meant to go head on with the A350, rather it is Boeing's answer to A380. The arch rival of A350 will be the B777x.
