Just to let people know if they're tired of their games slowing down,
The emulator is super slow at times, Press the + button on your Wii Remote to speed up your game.

I’d rather go for the original Xbox port of DeSmuME, unlike the Wii one here, I can actually save my own progress on Pokémon Diamond and a few others, still laggy of course, but hey. It’s a little more tolerable.

+Hacking Modding Nerd Desmume is a pretty slow emulator in general. Just compare it to No$gba on the PC and you can see how much it could improve. I doubt that the Wii will ever be able to emulate the DS at a playable speed, though. The Wii U can, for sure.

Nintendo developed an original emulator for DS on Wii U, so it works better than the original DS.
You can play:
GB and GBC games on SNES and N64
GBA games on GameCube
DS games on Wii
and 3DS games on Wii U!

It's because the wii's hardware is backwards compatible for Gamecube games, so it's not running an emulator to play Gamecube games. For DS games, the wii is actually having to emulate hardware it wasn't intended to run.
