He requires no particular guide tbh, he's a pretty much straight forward, one dimensional character

Just build him electro set crit + def 44111 (3cost go to Yinlin1st) build Yinlin full DMG electro set 43311 (very easy to build bc they don't compete for 1 cost)
rotation also easy especially if he s4+ and u can unga bunga his burst window, just make sure you set up right(give him Yinlin outro + get punishment mark on everything etc)
or, you haven't searched at all, or expect big ytbers to do smth non meta🤣 just search, cant be as hard.

Great guide Tim! Thanks for the explanations on each comp and rotations as I know not everyone has or likes using Calcharo as a main dps. I have been using him, but I know he's not for everyone. Loving using Yinlin though she has made Calcharo a lot more easier with her and fun with her now.
btw you can start with encore E and switch to jianxi and doing ult and then switch again to encore to finish the E.(you dont need 60 fps to do that btw) this is not hard combo just practice

One thing you can add in while using Encore - when you cast Resonance skill E, you can swap out while she's shooting and get a couple hits or skill (even Ults as well) off and then swap back to Encore to recast the E finisher, making use of the dead time.
Would love a video like this involving other team combos and characters as well.

S6 doesn't make her a main dps really, it just makes her do more stuff as a burst dps.

@@Nicolascolau Indeed her rotation changes at s6, but note that it actually just makes her R works like her E, where she gets only 4 enhanced basic attack after using R.
It does not change how her kit fundamentally works. If anything, it further emphasizes her bursty nature.
If you still want to play her as main dps, then I think u can play her as one regardless of c6. It will be difficult to find the "correct" way to play her as main dps because it is simply off meta. Being off meta means u have priorities above playing optimally. These priorities are measured differently for everyone. For example, u could say that u want her to be on field for at least 10 seconds in ur rotation, while others could say they want to have her as the only character in the team.
So if we are trying to see how we can play Yinlin off meta in an optimal way, it is kinda like asking "How to play Yinlin unoptimally, optimally?" At this point, we are most likely looking to play for fun instead of optimally/going for the meta.
I think u can define ur priorities and make sure they sound fun to u, then define the objectives u want to meet (e.g.: be able to clear hazard zone, kill max difficulty Tempest Mephis, be a menace in coop, etc).
U could actually see that there are CCs out there carving out their own niche without going fully meta. Some CCs focus on clearing hologram bosses with 1 character only or 2 characters only, cant say their setup is meta, but its impressive.
When it comes to execution, u could aim to make her stay on field for 15 seconds (other main dps tend to stay on field for 1X seconds) to do several basic combos with some heavies/plunges mixed in, then build on the rotations shown in this video. These rotation help u to build forte gauge, so whenever u have to switch out to get the buffs up again, u'll make use of these rotations to build it quickly. I'm not saying it is a good or correct way to play, these are just some random ideas that kinda sound fun to me.
So what is conclusion on echo set? It would be better to use support or electric even as playing her sub DPS?

Im surprised why people rarely speaks about Yinlin should spam heavy to recharge her forte, i’ve been doing it and damn her forte charging feels much faster.
I've been using her jump attack spam, it's faster I feel, so less animation locking, but not by much to be fair.
I've been playing Calchado - Yinling on Quick-swap since I got her and I always made the switch in the dead messenger window, and in every animation that could be canceled actually, but i would try this playstyle do

You can animation cancel the 2nd E after the puppet hits the ground you can use your echo skill or switch characters and the explosion would still continue and do damage but timing must be right it must hit the ground first then use echo skill or switch characters
Only echo swap need the 2nd E to hit the ground, if you swap characters you can swap as she start the 2nd E animation

Really looking for a mobile guide. OR at the least, a handcam on keyboard just so i can mimic the movements and timing for mobile. So many videos just showing their characters parry or swap cancel. It's like Michael Jordan teaching you how to shoot by just shooting. Whole world can see he's shooting already
Funny how the clear times are identical, I mean yeah different supports and who knows what gear... but still, can pretty much use whoever you like with her and it's basically same clear times. Curious if you've tried Sanhua instead of her in these teams, as some vids show her as 20% better in non lightning teams with basically no gear. Can't trust it though without actual clear time comparison vids.
Why do you say YING-LING, its only Yin Lin (no g). I cant unhear it xD
using her as a main dps since my hands are hella slow with the quick swaps, yeah skill issue on my side.
but its nice to know I've been doing it right it seems. use skill get the buff from it quickly ult then get the enemies marked with punishment mark and have fun.

Man, she is really easy to play once you get the hang of her. I am on mobile and have her rotations down pat. Her weapon makes a huge difference though. It is kinda like a Jing yuan situation from star rail. Also , prefer flautist for my top echo.
Still forgetting the most important thing out of Calcharo - to use his HA with full stacks before Liberation 💀
My Jianxin Main DPS - Yinlin - Mortefi team combo is quite different 😂😂
For this team to do the best damage, you'd want the core combo to be: Jianxin outro to Yinlin Ult+Forte, this have to gain enough concerto to again outro to Jianxin to ULT+Echo cancel to Mortefi for a quick E+Turtle+ULT and again, this have to gain just enought concerto to outro back to Jianxin to use her heavy
A lot of set-up is need before executing the core combo, but when you pull it of, it's super sastisfying 😊

Great guide as always but when you mention that even if you only 3 death messenger staying with yinlin buff it would be better than a quickswap 3 death messengers did you meant 2 death messengers staying with yinlin buff? Cause what's the point in comparing 3 buffed vs 3 non buffed
Im no expert in the swap in mech, but i noticed both cn and global server didnt utilised the imperm heron buff for the main dps(calc and encore). Why? Is it because it collide with yinlin long charge attck time?
there is no excuse to not use heron , u are cutting down 1 second by swap canceling just to not utilize herons buff which is pointless. i believe u can assume that they simply forget about it.

I know they use it, but didnt give heron buff to main dps (calcharo/encore) instead they give the buff to yangyang and verina
@@magoomania6278Imperen heron buff: Once the initial attack lands on any enemy, the current character regains 10 Resonance Energy. If the current charact uses their Outro Skill within the next 15s, the next character's damage dealt will be boosted by 12% for 15s.
But when yinlin use echo before swapping to yang yang there was no concerto energy. Later swap back yinlin to use outro for Calchario which should be within 15s. Though I am not sure if you it still buffs calchario or not
So for calcharo+yinlin combo rotation, we never get to use calcharo's echo? So we can't get the buff from tempest mephis?
You should always use Mephis before his ult if you can, otherwise you're leaving damage on the table. Perhaps In the showcase he just didn't have a mephis equipped or he had Thundering which takes too long in most cases to use properly (too many attacks to obtain buff).
@jebraidic tempest memphsi cannot be animation cancelled so he waste time from using liberation for Outro buff and the mercy damage buff and the Moonlit set buff
Hey! Any reason you are running Thundering over Tempest Memphis ? Seems to not proc Thundering's last attack unless boss is staggered, though Tempest could be cancelled and still get electro buff right?
My team right now is havoc rover, yinlin and jianxin/baizhi
If electro rover is strong the teams with rover might be pretty nice

My main account pulled 2 Jiyan, 1 Calcharo and 1 Jianxin in 90 Radiant Tides, and a Lustrous Razor in 10 Lustrous Tides. Got Calcharo from Beginner Convene and took Verina from Selector. Currently UL34, Databank level 16, story finished, most side quests undone, exploration about 20% in every area. Lost 50/50 on Yinlin's banner to Jianxin.

it's good if you don't have any outro buff from either jianxin or yinlin. but if you have it, better to stick with him until the third death messenger (you can swap cancel right in the third DM). 11:16

@TimaeuSS yinlin seems to have tempest as her main echo when u went over cn and global opening rotation. but she has the heron as main echo when u went over the standard rotation. what would you recommend?

I'd always say tempest, I don't understand why would you give up on the 5 set electro bonus for a buff to the next resonator, while she still outputs a lot of damage as off field DPS

Is there a way to animation cancel Jianxin skill in mobile? I realized once you let go of the skill itjust pops off instantly. Or is it impossible because in mobile?
not like the majority of cancels work on mobile, unless your fingers are too skilled lol.

I'd say encore benefits more from the crit and attack stats along with passive skill from weapon more than yinlin does due to encore being dps character
Yinlin if you want the x2 off field damage buff from the weapon, imo you can use standard rectifier/bp rectifier for encore

@@ading4510 so generally, the "heavy attack" is called the forte attack, right? Thank you by the way, for clarifying
forte is the bar above the unit's hp bar, when it is at full when you use a heavy attack it turns into a forte attack.
in Calcharo's case if he has a bar above his hp it turns his normal heavy multi projectile slash attack into a jumping attack (death messenger when in ult mode)
@@void.societyno, heavy attack is when you hold your mouse. It just happens some characters like Yinlin or Havoc MC trigger their forte attack with their heavy attack when the bar is full.
