Hi. Just a brief note to say “thank you” for your videos. Your night runs like this one are my favorites because, like you, I enjoy the solitude. I’m 71 and live in Oregon in the USA. Although I’ve always had trouble sleeping, the state of our world and especially my country lately hasn’t helped. So your night journeys smooth my soul these days. Many thanks!

Hello from Maryland (USA), RailCowGirl!🙏🏾 I absolutely love your videos. I use them to sleep and to do work. Sometimes just for the scenic routes. The mountains are amazing there....😃 Thanks for posting!

Very nice to finally hear your voice. Your videos are a great way to see Norway which I think is the most under-appreciated country in the world. My great-grandfather emigrated from the Modum area in the late 1800s to farm in the US.

I very much enjoy your videos. Keep them coming! I’ve been fascinated with railroading for all my life, mostly because my grandfather was a longtime railroader. He went to work for the Louisville & Nashville, now part of CSX, in 1908 at 15 years old. His first job was as a caller. Since most folks didn’t have telephones then, when they needed crew from the extra board, they sent a guy out on a bicycle to knock on their door. When he was old enough he moved to a fireman job and eventually to engineer. He retired in 1959 with 51 years of service.

Thanks to your videos my wife and I are going to spend Christmas 2025 in Norway and ride the Bergman line. Thank you for all you do.

The discussion about stowaways reminded me about the time I was in the Navy visiting the port of Stavanger. A friend went ashore, got drunk, stumbled into a freight carriage, and got locked in for several days until the train reached Oslo. It was very cold and he was really lucky to survive.

i just discovered these videos and it's very interesting! I'm a retired airline pilot, now working for the FAA and I find some similarities. One of my best childhood experiences is when we took a train from Oslo in 1956 ( I was around six or seven yrs old) and we pulled into Kristiansand, my first visit from the US. The snow was falling gently and everything was so quiet and beautiful. That was the first and only long haul train ride I was ever on. I've been to Norway many times since but one of these days I want to use rail instead of driving ( all the speeding tickets, LOL)

Hello from North Carolina. I've been watching your videos for over a year now, since the covid pandemic. I love watching for the same reasons you like working the night shift. I feel like I am traveling in another world, like in a dream. Thank you for sharing and stay safe.

Your Q&A videos are a peaceful escape from the hectic pace of life. You are appreciated so much. Make as many talking videos as possible, I love listening to your soothing voice and love your accent (I'm from the state of Arkansas, USA). Who would have thunk it? :) Small world, huh?
