@@SaabStory636 I agree, they sound good. For a typical onlooker anyways. For exhausts, a deeper tone is more desirable than a higher pitch. I think that's pretty general consensus. Now if you're sitting behind the wheel, I imagine the droning would be a nuisance after a while.
The droning with this setup doesn't exist, did a 10 hour road trip and that was the last thing on my mind haha
Thinking about doing this instead of spending 4-700 on a axle back for the 08 1st gen I love my first gen might do the speed 3 swap

Sweet vid and nice sound. If im correct, you can custome tune the sound a bit more by changing the exhaust tips.
But will it pass inspection with the muffler delete. I want a little noise from the back without changing the entire exhaust
Everyone watching this just go to Lowe’s or something but a sawzaw return sawzaw free exhaust….. it’s not that loud but it sounds good pops and crackles when you shift at higher rpms (5+ k rpm) I’ve down shifted pretty loud next to cops haven’t gotten in trouble….. yet but I’ve been pulled out with it and haven’t gotten a exhaust ticket just a 94 in a 70 ticket
I brought it to a shop for the complete exhaust instead of it chopped off.

Hitting the limiter slows your time. I take mine to about 7k the no lift shift quickly. I can get it to bark the tires in second gear

Just muffler, muffler & res will crackle but sounds horrible

Not a whole lot, if you do a 2nd cat delete & a muffler delete, you'll get a sweet sound & some popping as well

I read 74dB. Cut off just the muffler and replaced with 40NB (48mm OD) piping. Measured 40cm away

I just recently installed a magnaflow cat back system on my mazda 3 2005 hatch and it sounds great for sure but the sound isn't as deep as this muffler delete..
But your Magnaflow is louder!
had a aftermarket muffler on my 3 and it fell off it sounds awesome got a aftermarket resonator, you shift gears it gargles and pops. Down shift same thing sounds pretty nasty honestly.

I'm not one for glass packs, but that is always an option to install instead of replacing with just a pipe

is this both the mid muffler and exit muffler replaced with straight pipe? looking to do this my self
The mid muffler is a resonator, this is the exit muffler replaced with pipe.

Just buy an exhaust, or better yet, don’t mod your daily economy car and buy a speed

Hey bro I need your help diagnosing a starting issue I'm having. I put in a brand new starter, alternator, battery, valve cover gasket, spark plugs coil packs etc. Today I was doing motor mounts and was wiring an on and off switch for my rgb headlights and it almost caught fire. Thank God I caught it before it could. Now my car is cranking but it's not starting. I'm thinking maybe a fuse is blown. I hear the fuel pump when the key is in the on position. I know you know the mazdas in and out and I was hoping you could help a brotha out.
Probably a fuse if it caught fire haha, whatever you wired it too follow it to that fuse and check, or check all of them for that matter
@@ColtonRichter I just needed starting fluid lmfao. I was so sure it was something serious. I have a quarter tank of gas so maybe there was an air bubble. I went ahead and ordered a fuel pump.

Haha lmao I did before I watched this but if you do keep the sawzaw until the muffler is off the car….. I bought my from Lowe’s cut the muffler returned it went home and went to remove the muffler but the tail pipe wouldn’t let me pull it out so I had to rebuy it cut it off the car then return it but hey it was still a free exhaust I’m not complaining

is the resonator delete worth it? i am getting one of these and I cant decide if I want to do just the muffler or do the resonator and muffler if that would be too loud or too loud in the car. i can get headaches easy so I know resonators are good for inside drone. i did a resonator delete on my old car and didn't effect much
@@kalebnotto1596 id suggest doing the muffler delete first and if you like it keep it like that but if you want some more noise resonator delete is the way to go. I don't mind the noise inside the car ive gone on roadtrips and everything and its not too loud imo
