She broked up with me, last night and introduce to me this song. I, a student and she is a teacher. Our relationship last, 1year, 10 months and 13 days. this is my situation right now, my bf is not so much into me and I am not even on his priorities... after 5.5 yrs he will tell that he does not want commitment and that I am lacking as a gf... it broke my heart so much that I went on solo travel in Canada.. but I have to fall back to him because I still love him and he still pursues me like nothing happened. I believe this song represents someone who has dealt with depression for a long time and over time they cannot be the support to their spouse or partner that the spouse deserves. For some, as depression goes on it gets worse even when treated. Over time their world gets smaller and smaller as it becomes more difficult... walking into the rain. Ultimately the song is about me, or people like me that don't want to take down family and friends around them as they deal with depression. I look for no sympathy, I have learned to go on.
