I lost my mother when I was 16, it's been 18 years now.. When I thought I lost the sound of her voice in my memory, whenever I listen to this song it reminds me how she speak and sings.. This song helped me relive the memories and her voice. It still hurts like yesterday, I was so young and carefree. Losing her at very young age hurts even more. Even in my dreams I wish I could date her, could buy her favorite food, clothes, cook for her. If only I could trade everything I have just to listen to her voice and laugh again. She was a beautiful Soul.

Written from the heart, performed with real emotion and passion, with performers who could really play and write great melodies. People were in general much nicer, and we all had proper jobs. I think I first heard this way back in 1991 when it hit the charts. Loved it then and still love it now. It's a masterpiece now and it was back then and it eventually got the success it deserved. No flashy gimmicks, crude language or half naked dancers and none of that is needed if the artist is genuinely talented. Just a woman sitting at the piano singing. I love her voice but also love the piano solos, sounds amazing.
Yes I am in Australia in April lockdown but this very young lady has stolen my heart with that beautiful voice. Did well in the charts though and, apparently, she was able to buy a £3 million house with the royalties from this song! Of course everybody wants a number 1 single, but this song is still being played 30 years later. Some songs are just timeless and always stay with us...this is one of those songs.
I bought a car that had a compilation CD still in the player, this was one of the tracks, could not remember the artist, such a classy tune, I had to find it on here, very happy 😍

Wish I could wake up to find, today was just a bad dream, it was still the glorious wonderful 80's. Music like this was so different then. Written from the heart, performed with real emotion and passion, with performers who could really play and write great melodies. People were in general much nicer, and we all had proper jobs. I think I first heard this way back in 1991 when it hit the charts. Loved it then and still love it now. It's a masterpiece now and it was back then and it eventually got the success it deserved. No flashy gimmicks, crude language or half naked dancers and none of that is needed if the artist is genuinely talented. Just a woman sitting at the piano singing. I love her voice but also love the piano solos, sounds amazing.
