    My 2022 Sportsman 570 has been utterly reliable and problem free. I also have the smaller 300 model from 2015. We also have a 2015 Ranger Diesel and a 2023 XP 1000. Big fans of Polaris here!

    Ive come to notice through reviews that Polaris riders are more composed and less high-maintenance/demanding than the Brand-racists out there. I am Quad shopping and really like the 570, all problems are well documented so its easy to deal with eh.
    Yes they are worth it 👍👍happy trails.

    what fuel pack is that on the back? i cant find this type of jerry can and mount for my 22 trail. and how are thoes added lights from harbor? have you considered others?

    • @goodjerm
      @goodjerm  19 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      @@RC.56 the water pack on the back is a rotopax and I found a ladder mount on Amazon that worked. The harbor freight lights are great, I used them because they are a bit better than cheap lights on Amazon but cheaper than other name brand lights. I’m at 2 years with these machines now so I should do a follow up and include some night riding while I’m at it.

    Nice machines, kinda surprised to hear you say the McPherson struts equipped one felt sportier, woulda thought the opposite.

    • @goodjerm
      @goodjerm  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Honestly I would have thought the same as well. It’s just the McPherson front end is a little stiffer and has a lot less nose dive in the corners. The a-arm front end actually bottoms out much quicker and is more plush. In corners it also tends to nose dive quite a bit. There is absolutely no bump steer with the a-arms, I think besides ground clearance that is the best part of it.

  • @dcsales2007
    @dcsales2007 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    Polaris gets a bad rap, but probably because they sell the most machines, thus, get the most feedback. They definitly have the plushest ride of all the quads out there, so you gotta expect the front to dive a bit during braking and cornering. Just be prepared and expect it. That piano black plastic is the worst idea for a quad. Thats gunna look like shit very soon, showing every scratch. You didn't comment on how one quad had LED lights and the other had Halogen. Curious what you think of them without the aftermarket LED light pods and light bars you got installed. I don't know why Polaris removed the rear storage compartment from the older model, the space is there, it couldn't have cost much if anything to keep it.

    • @goodjerm
      @goodjerm  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I think I mentioned the lights in previous videos, I like the LED factory lights but not really a big difference in how they actually work. The missing storage bad under the seat is because I’m in California. For these quads they actually have evap canisters in that spot so the storage bad won’t fit. Agree on the ride, in my opinion, the most comfortable ride on the market, been that way for years.

      I would call that well broke in 😆 honestly though we don’t get out nearly as much as we would like due to our busy schedules this past year. I’m hoping that will change here pretty soon. I would think the kind of miles and hours would be more important than how many, and the biggest factor would be how well it was maintained. I think the hours/miles on my quads… atvs… 4-wheelers (I don’t know where you’re from) is well below the average. Best advice I can give is when you get it home do a full service (engine oil and filter, transmission fluid, and front drive fluid). You’ll have to let us know how it works out, and enjoy!

    My brother just bought the 2024 570 sportsman automatic. In high gear the cvt doesn't hold back at all when going down a hill. Is that normal? Does it have to be in low?
    My 450 Kodiak creeps in high, no matter how steep the hill.

    • @goodjerm
      @goodjerm  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      The engine braking isn’t too aggressive, only in ADC mode will it hold back, and it does have to be in low gear with the 4wd and ADC both turned on. The normal engine braking will slow it down a little, but the ADC can be quite aggressive

    So what do you do when your coming down a steep grade and you use low 4x4 and it lets go of all your traction in to a power slide! Out of control. I now use high gear and feather the throttle to stop the power slide. But what else can you do? IM riding an 04 500 ho.

    • @goodjerm
      @goodjerm  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Without descent control that’s exactly what you have to do. On those older quads I keep just enough throttle to keep the clutch engaged along with the brakes.
