Information about Thailand Visas!
Navigating Thailand's Visa System and Travel Requirements Thailand's allure as a tourist destination stems from its stunning beaches, vibrant culture, and bustling cities. Yet, planning a trip to this Southeast Asian gem requires a thorough understanding of its visa regulations and entry requirements. Whether you're planning a brief vacation or an extended stay, comprehending Thailand's visa system is paramount for a smooth journey. Thailand's visa requirements vary based on factors such as nationality and the purpose of your visit. For many travelers, obtaining a Thailand tourist visa is the first step in their journey. This visa allows for a stay of up to 60 days, with an option for a 30-day extension, making it ideal for exploring Thailand's myriad attractions. The application process typically involves submitting a passport with at least six months' validity, a completed visa application form, and proof of adequate funds for the duration of your stay.
Alternatively, citizens of certain countries may qualify for a Thailand visa on arrival. This convenient option grants a stay of up to 15 days for tourism purposes and can be obtained upon arrival at designated ports of entry, including Suvarnabhumi Airport. Suvarnabhumi Airport, Thailand's primary international gateway, offers visa services to facilitate entry for travelers. Whether you're applying for a visa on arrival or seeking assistance with visa-related inquiries, dedicated counters and staff at the airport ensure a seamless arrival experience. For those wishing to extend their stay in Thailand, the option of a visa extension is available. Whether you hold a tourist visa or are visa-exempt, you can apply for an extension to prolong your stay beyond the initial period permitted. It's essential to comply with the rules and regulations to avoid penalties for overstaying your visa. Thailand offers various visa types to accommodate different travel purposes and durations.
Business visas cater to individuals traveling for business-related activities, such as meetings or conferences, and allow for stays of up to 90 days. Retirement visas, available to individuals aged 50 or older, offer a pathway for retirees seeking to make Thailand their home. Student visas enable students to pursue academic programs at accredited institutions in the country, while work visas facilitate employment opportunities for foreign workers. Understanding the costs associated with obtaining a visa is essential for budgeting your trip. Thailand visa costs vary depending on factors such as visa type, duration of stay, and processing fees. It's advisable to factor in additional expenses such as travel insurance and accommodation when planning your budget.
In addition to cost, knowing the validity of your visa is crucial for planning your travels. Thailand visa validity refers to the period during which the visa remains valid for entry into the country. It's important to check the validity dates on your visa to ensure compliance with immigration regulations. The processing time for Thailand visas can vary based on factors such as visa type and the volume of applications received. While some visas may be processed quickly, others may require additional time for review and approval. To avoid delays, it's advisable to submit your visa application well in advance of your intended travel date. One important consideration when traveling to Thailand is the risk of visa overstay. Overstaying your visa can result in fines, deportation, and even being blacklisted from re-entering the country.
To avoid these consequences, it's essential to adhere to the terms and conditions of your visa and depart Thailand before your visa expires. While many nationalities require a visa to enter Thailand, citizens of certain countries enjoy visa exemption for short-term visits. In conclusion, understanding Thailand's visa requirements and processes is essential for a smooth travel experience. Whether you're applying for a tourist visa, seeking an extension, or exploring other visa options, familiarity with the rules and regulations will ensure a hassle-free journey to this captivating country.

I am not sorry..he is a travel vlogger..staying in one place will result in less views and subacribers..good he was made to leave!
@@Fiola_MSame... Not a fan of places mostly built for tourists anyways.
Hi, William.
Yes, Thailand has very strict visa policies. There is no getting around their laws; many people try. Doing border runs is definitely not the answer as, you will be denied entry if you abuse the situation. At some point, they will tell you that you will not be allowed in on future trips. It's the reality.
On the other hand:
- Vietnam offers 3 month visas. Da Nang & Nha Trang are excellent beach cities, as is Vung Tau just south of Saigon
- You can stay in the Philippines for 3 years by extending your tourist visa
- Malaysia also allows 90 day visas, no questions asked. The island of Borneo is definitely worth a trip. Lankawai & Penang are also worth a visit.
As for your trip from Pattaya to Bangkok, your choices were spot on as, traffic jams in Bangkok can have you sitting for 3 hours without moving a kilometer. The Airport Link & BTS Train were the best way to get to Chatuchak Market area and, from there, it's easy to find a shuttle.
Other than that, stay safe & have fun...
*I'm pretty sure that Thailand has a Digital Nomad Visa. They also have a 1 year Muay Thai visa...
Wish america had brains and a leader like Thailand into of turning America into a third world shit hole with the horrible foreign language of Mexico being heard everyone from foreigners that refuse to speak our only language of America
Thailand does not have a digital nomad visa. The LTR visa which I think you may be referring to is for wealthy retirees or remote working company executives (which no major company allows anyway) so it's generally not useful for anyone under 40 or 45, who won't earn enough or meet the requirements to qualify for this visa
pay agendy 20k B get 1 yr study visa... been doing this for 5 years now... never have to go school as well... u guys need to use ur brains!!
@danielboomers LOL of course you have to go to school. They're cracking down on fake students abusing student visas.
Also, why would you use an agency to get a student visa which is easily obtained through a legitimate school?
Most agencies have stopped assisting with student visas anyway.
Big congratulations on reaching your goal of 100k subsctibers. You definitely deserve it. Enjoyed your videos from Thailand. Looking forward to your videos from Malaysia. Perhaps Sven will pay a surprise visit and sample the local brew. Don't think we've seen him since Puerto Vallarta. Good luck! Time to set a new goal. Keep up the good work.
And one more tip. The Grab taxi from the KL Airport is about the same as the train and will take you directly to your hotel.
I was also thinking about doing a " visa run " to KL from Bangkok. thanks for sharing the trip .
It’s nice to see you all the time in different countries William. Thank you! Grtz. from the Netherlands
Great video!!!!
When I arrived the first time in Kuala Lumpur in september 1991 it was both modern and futuristic. Even more so in 2009 and i suspect a lot more now. 🙂
This was a very Gooood! video
If you're ever in Krabi, renew your visa there. It took me like 10 minutes and they were super helpful and efficient.
You did it !!! 100,000 subscribers
Congratulations to you, I know you've worked very hard to get to this point.
Stay well. Stay happy. Peace.
Great video & Amazing views of towers 😲
Thanks for traveling. You let me travel with you
So glad you didn’t have a hang over completing that journey !!!
It's always better to get 60 days Thai evisa online which you could extend for additional 30 days
Yeah I have that now
generally I agree with you, however it doesn't work if you are anywhere in SE-ASIA
you can't get this type of visa when you are not applying from your home country as far as i am informed.@@williamtaudien
A 30 day on arrival visa exemption also entitles the holder to a 30 day extension. It doesn't require any application either. The 60 day tourist visa is not easy to get these days.
@@ThePatriot-gm1fgThe 60-day tourist visa is still easy to get. I know plenty of people who entered on that. It's subsequent requests for it that might be denied. The days of doing visa runs for years on end are over.
Keep in mind that if you want to convert a 30-day stamp or a tourist visa to non-immigrant, you have to put in the application at least 15 days before the visa expires.
bangkok to pattaya on the bus cheap ! by cab set price about $35.00 not $60.00 and btw there is afree trasit bus services between the two airports if you just asked information at the airport ! i have done this many times...
Great vid William, your subscribers are growing and growing, deservedly so, I’ve just returned from two months in India and am pleased to now binge watch the William vids I have missed during that time….. keep it up my Swedish vlogger 👍
2014 i came with a 60 Day tourist visa to Pattaya, near Jomtien is Chon Buri Immigration, there i was able to extend my visa for 30 days, it cost around 50 Euro. Its good that Thailand has strict laws, they dont want to end up like germany with illegal mass migration. They are smarter.
You will enjoy Kuala Lumpur William, the hotels are very affordable and higher quality for cheap.
You got this william
You can't lay on the beach every day all day.
Great success.
Congratulations William on 100K subscribers you made it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Will Saludos desde Pachuca Hgo., Mexico
you could get a bus to BKK and MRT ered line to DM. 20 BHT rom any station.
Congrats on 100K! Inspires me to keep going in sharing my adventures on my channel too!
Great viideo, as always William! You are welcome to come back to Mexico! 😃
When living in the Pattaya - Jomtien area, the trick is to always book your flight from Suvarnabhumi (BKK) Instead of from Don Mueang (DMK). In this way you can take the low cost bus from Jomtien directly to Suvarnabhumi. This is the least hassle way to travel on the cheap when living in the Pattaya - Jomtien area.
William there is a free bus system in KL with internet access n its air conditioned. There is also a bus leaving from chinatown or near it to the airport-- u pay for it but much cheaper than taxi
100K !!!!!!!!!!!!! i remember you talking about this when you were living in Greece!! Nice work dude!!
I do the same thing on April 4 I fly to kl couple days and then come back
Hello my friend!! Nice video!! Enjoy and Take care!!!
William, Grab is extremely cheap on Malaysia. I took one from the airport to my hotel in KLCC Golden Triangle for $16 usd.
Different sort of video. Malaysia looks so built up similar to Dubai. Have a great time city park looks cool. Enjoy.
Been on that coty centre park by the Towers, very nice. So many people, but still very chill
The journey from Pattaya to Don Muang by bus is 113.69 km and takes 2 hours and 28 minutes. There are 28 connections per day, with the first departure at 00:00 and the last at 21:00. It is possible to. Travel from Pattaya to Don Muang by bus for only ฿183.44
Wiliam, there is always the possibility for a so called "onward-ticket". this ticket you can show if they want to see a flight out of thailand when you board the flight at your home airport. Thats how i do it when i go for a 3 or 6 month visa as i never know exactly when i wanna leave again.
Next time get the bus to Mochit bus station. You can get that from north pattaya bus station. You can get a taxi from mochit to Don muang 20 min.
Suvarnabhumi doesnt have flights to all parts of the world, but with 1 stopover somewhere, you can indeed reqch any country.
Great episode William!
To catch a train to Don Muang is easy go to Makkasan station (from the Suvarnabhumi Airport (ARL) then catch a train to Bang Sue station (blue line) (MRT) you need to get onto the (red line) (SRT) and then service to Don Muang or alternatively catch the airport bus if you have an airline ticket it’s free. Note when using the trains you have to change to different lines and you may get confused? So ask at the ticket counter or ask a staff member if you are confused, but have what you want to ask on a translator if you don’t speak Thai. REMEMBER MAKKASAN AND BANG SUE STATIONS AND THERE IS A BIT OF A WALK TO FROM THE STATION TO THE AIRPORT ALSO THERE IS A FOOD COURT WITH CHEAP FOOD ON YOUR LEFT AND A 7/11 AS YOU ARE WALKING TO THE AIRPORT ITS ALL UNDER COVER
Red bus lol
Wheres OLGA the Russian Cosmonaut? Did Maria show up and feed her to the Lizard in lagoon? 👀
😂
😂😂
😅😅
If you visit Malaysia you can enter and get back into Thailand free no cost unlike if you visit Cambodia or other surrounding countries who charge for their visa to enter.
Let me know if you’re back in Thailand over the next month or so would love to sit down and interview you I’ve been watching your videos as the members of my family and enjoy your travels specially your time in Sweden
It's fun that you went to Malaysia to renew your Thai Visa. I am glad you will return to Thailand for more adventures. Maybe you should head to a National Park, like Khao Yai, and give us a tour of some natural areas complete with elephants!
what beautiful buildings Malayesia has...and looks very nice and ceao....enjoy it...
Great video! I look forward to your post!
So how do you pronounce your last name?
I saw the title demand clicked as fast as I could
Hello William, There is a free shuttle from BKK airport to DMK airport. Just go inside the terminal and ask where to get it. Enjoy Malaysia it's an awesome country.
I divide my time between Philippines and Thailand. The former is cheaper which, allows me to save money for the latter.
William, how’s the WIFI speeds at the Riviera?
For easier flight you can fly to Malaysia from Utapao airport only 40 mins taxi from Pattaya
I believe there is a free bus shutle from bkk airport to don mueng airport .
I would have crossed the border via Penang mate. I think it would have been a lot easier for you and Georegtown is amazing!
I agree. Penang and Georgetown are amazing
Another epic video sir.
That information about visas for people over 50 is great to know. Especially for us old folks.😂 Take care bro and safe travels. ♥️✌🏼
Cheers from 2 Canadians 🇨🇦 living in Mexico.🇲🇽
You should visit
1. East java
2. Borobudur temple
Did you get SIM card at KL airport ?
They have a bus complimentary for airport to airport
Great video William like usual. You gave out great info.
Is your friend waiting for you to come back or is she going along
with you?
By the way, you need to come back home to Mexico. Mexico suited you so well.
Hi William, I am always really impressed by your drone footage! Thailand looked amazing. Can you, or someone else if they know, please tell me what drone you use. I want to save up to purchase one like it.
Poor Sven. Your hotel in Jomtien was so cool. 😎 I can imagine James Bond staying there.
Interesting video. I took a grab taxi to Pattaya Hotel. Then another grab taxi back to Bangkok it was very convenient.
Hello Williams, which app you used for translation with driver?
so excited you are going to see KL. Wonder if you're going to have time to go to the beach is while you're there
Easier to take from pattaya van bus to Trat town then on to cambodia border xing a day or 2 stay just x border then reenter thailand for another 30 day visa then taxi or van trat. Then bus to pattaya. More interesting than the airport and flightz. Cheaper too.
We all make mistakes now and again William. Thanks again for sharing your travels. Always top notch. Wondering how tall those b uildings are. Hope you tell us. There are 75 stories going up in Burnaby BC. Can't believe it. See you next time.
Interesting video👍🏴 but so many Tourists yuk😅😅
HOW LONG WILL YOU HAVE TO OR WANT TO STAY IN Malaysia?
Next time, Suggest you go thro a visa agent to avoid the que. less stressful.
There is a free bus from Suvarnabhumi to Don Mueang. You just need to show your airline ticket.
wooooowwww how nice is up there...and cheap than in Mexico...for sure you will came back in Thailand and enjoy more ...
Don't forget to come back to visit the Songkran festival in Thailand Bro
MAlaysia looks really cool and modern? What do you think about it?
You are not on a visa in Thailand, you entered visa exempt for thirty days. You are doing a border bounce to active your METV which you purchased in your home country.
My friend had difficulty getting in Thailand as well as he was going in and out several times a year. How do you have 2 months Visa? I thought it was 30 days each time? 🙏
Muy buen viaje.. Nuestro hermano valiente de Cristo... Dios le bendiga guarde y proteja
Hot in Malasia in March. I wonder how it is over there in July.
Will You still here in Thailand
All recently
Not sure why this happened to you this way. Was in Phuket Thailand for 30 days.. went and extended my visa for another 30 days. Then after I had no extensions left I flew from Thailand to Penang Malaysia for $50 usd. The flight is only like an hour. Super simple. Then I returned after a month in Malaysia back to Thailand for Christmas New years.. no problem and am back in Penang.
I live in Jomtien, but I've here nearby six months on a tourist, so I'm flying to the US a couple weeks before Songkran. I'll fly back to Thailand in three weeks or so
So how much was the Apartment in KL Monthly ?
There is a paid private shuttle bus to dm airport ... Its at city center pattaya... I flew from dm to kl for $40 usd one way when i stayed in pattaya
