Love how Fractal likes to experiment, they've been doing lots of unique things with cases these years and I'm here for it. Overall this case is actually really decent with some unique stuff for its price range.
And as always thank you for the vid mate 🙏 always love new case builds when you can't afford to do them yourself lol
I'm really happy that there's support for optical drives. I still watch DVDs and Blu-Rays regularly, so that is an awesome feature for me.
Just built a pc for my buddy in this case, I gotta be honest, I loved it. And it looked so good finished. That little drawer, while good for your pot, also works great for extra thumb drives. And for anyone coming from a full size tower (like he was), and afraid the full length PSU will fit, it will, as long as you're ok losing the 3.5" hdd drive bays, which he totally was.
It's just something about any kind of build, built into the cases that my man has ever gotten in his hands that makes me genuinely excited in some type of way
I Love this channel. This case looks like the perfect case for a new 22/23 PC build for me.
This case looks incredible, so sleek and minimalistic. The airflow is also amazing.
Clearly one of my favorite mid-size cases.
Used this case for my first PC build, and I love it. Not excessively large, but also has great airflow and 3 fans that do great in heat dissipation. Great case for a fan-only build
Finally!!! My favourite form factor, but it has been over looked lately. Thanks for covering this!
Liked it enough to model my first build around this video! Got the pl240 flux too. Also, its so nice to see an Aussie tech channel, love to see it mate!
stunning build ! really dig the optical drive bay, its so hard to find a new case that supports it !! definitely wanna see more content with these new cases ! keep up the excellent work !
What do you need the bay for?
@@Signaworks an optical drive or card readers and fan controllers
There's the dp502 flux which has an optical bay and 5 fans
Iam with you. Don't understand why most of the case's don't support Optical drives. It's so easy to hide them like in this case. It's so beautiful
Nice to see a fresh take on mATX from Fractal. The Meshify C mini is still one of the best ever IMO.
Dang, that 5.25" bay makes me really tempted to switch over! As a photog who has to constantly use a card reader, I've wanted to put a reader on the front of my case, but I've yet to see one with good airflow and a bay for it! I'll definitely keep it in the back of my mind for any future builds I do!
Thank you for the fantastic video!
It's so handy. Just got this case. It's amazing. I did a custom loop in it with two rads.
@@swizzler8053 I have this case sitting on my desk right now.. just waiting for payday to get the components to go inside it. Two rads! Madness. All fit okay etc? i have one 240 AIO that i plan to top mount.
@@matthewgrace6915 it's such a good looking case. Yeah it fitted easily.
oh wow
I just bought this case a few weeks ago and moved my system into it.
I realised my mobo was 4 pin RGB and this was 3 pin ARGB so i was pretty disappointed when i couldnt connect them together without a converter.
Thank you for pointing out the integrated controller with the button! now i can have RGB!
Yis, MATX is where it's at!
I always enjoy matx builds. Great source of inspiration.
Banger of a video fams. The case looks awesome, this looks like a possible case for my VR PC. Keep up the hard work
Hey Nick very nice execution of the intro from 0:00 - 0:35 that walk-up intro was simple and clean! 👍
Dope build! Best channel for case build and review by far. Would love to see review on ATX version as I am currently deciding between the two. Thanks!
Hahaha nice touch, eating the plastic peel. Thanks for the video! It was awesome. I was on the fence about this case, but you talked me into it!
fractal is always my favorite case brands. its nice they have new mATX case.
I'm so glad I waited. Finally i can upgrade my matx case.
Mad respect for all the cable management on each case
I've been looking for a compact case like this for a while now with optical drive bays! I have a Thermaltake PR2U pump and this fits perfectly
NOICE
I may have to upgrade from the CM NR400. I may even install an optical drive...
Like the color scheme, too.
Thanks!
It's TASTY! You had me rolling there my friend!
Such a Perfect case for minimalist setup
I love this kind of matx case. I went with dlm21 from darkflash, and I am eyeing with this one.
the 5,25 bays are awesome for installing a USB front panel. Since the USB ports on the top are kinda inconvenient if you ask me. Especially if you decide to set it on the desk.
Great review as always.I would like to see a review and build in the mid-tower Pop Air case if possible.
it's a very good case...much better than the atx version....too much wasted space in that...the matx version is just perfect
great build.
one of the mini ITX case mfgs (i forget which one, he's a well known designer) said their company is not doing ITX anymore after this most recent case they released, as the newer hardware is too high of a TDP and too big to continue to try to make it fit in an ITX form factore, and will instead be doing MATX and ATX
Looks like the mATX case i waitet a long time for 😍
great video. bought myself a pop mini based on this video. in the process of upgrading from my 9900k to a 13600k. i'm thinking a 240mm aio will be enough considering i'm running it on a deepcool ak 400 right now. Very underwhelmed with the nr200p case. really wanted to like it.
Once again beautiful build doing a white and pink build in that case for my daughter
Great case, they should make more mATX cases since nobody needs ATX chassis.
The rgb info was quite helpful.
We all know what the little drawer in the front is for, I'm so happy you said it, facts!
Wish they had gone with a black external with white internal. That's a rare combo that I think would have fit the pop line really well.
Didn't know you make all the music! Amazing!
He's a bloody wizard right!?
Would love to see a badass build on the ATX version of the case
I use this case as a NAS. I installed two 5.25" drive bays for SATA SSD's. They can hold 8 drives each.
Combined with an 16 port HBA card, 10 Gbit network card and TrueNAS and I got a NAS
I would love to see some sleeved cables in this build!
Ang Ganda pre. Ok na ok build mo
That a neat case! Looking to upgrade from my NZXT H400!
Did you plug the coolermaster fans rgb into the fractal Daisy chain and then into the case controller?
really like this case but its kinda sad they didn't color the insides like they did with its bigger brothers, the cyan version would've looked great with that motherboard you used
Those case fans are sick man 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥.
I’m curious, what is the psu clearance like with an optical drive installed? Could you fit 1 bigger than the 150mm recommended? I know if you remove the HDD cage you can but what if you put a ODD in?
Nice build and review. This review is more straightforward and clear than some others I saw. Also the 12700 cooled with a 240 AIO is a much more sensible choice than what I saw on another TH-cam channel, where they used a 12900K and cooled it with a 240 AIO(which is ridiculous) although they used the bigger version of the POP that could fit a 280AIO.
You mentioned we could put PSUs >150mm in if we removed the drive bays. In your experience, would doing such a thing interfere with using an optical drive? I have a 160mm PSU I'd love to put in this thing
can always count on gear seeker when im looking up a pc part that im looking to buy
I'm very close to buying this case, but my power supply is 160mm... it should be OK if I remove the drive bays (1:24) but a little nervous as I haven't seen this mentioned elsewhere, and I haven't been able to find a clear view of the side of the PSU while installed to see what room I have to play with.
Thank you for the review! Answered most of the questions that I had.
One thing that I've missed: what is the size of the top rad? Is it a 240 rad with 2x120 fans? Thanks!
I still buy/preorder CD's from my favorite artists so the drive bay is freaking sick!!!
That's a pretty unique use case in 2022! I have some cool ideas I want to explore with this case and the optical bays too ;)
Is it possible to use the other PCI slot for a capture card or is the GPU to big for it?
i bought this case thanks to this vid + 2 extra 120mm fans and i have to say this is without a doubt the greatest case mankind has ever invented!
how does do with dust ? thanks
@@7rankC i have to spray with compressed air every 3 months. depends though if you are a smoker or have pets or have a dusty room etc. you'll have to clean more. overall, one year later, i'm still VERY happy with this case!
Nice , I appreciate your time ,thanks
definitely gonna get this case when it sold here on my local computer shop 100%
right now i'm using darkflash dlm21 mesh
are they available in white tho? like the atx version
Finally a case that isn't to big and a reasonable price 🙏
Im new to pc building, and my first build is going to be in this case. Isnt the fan configuration a negative one? Because you have more outtake than intake. Will this still work or schould I remove one outtake fan?
Does this also fit on noctua dh 15 and dark rock 4 cooler?
I like it a lot, my only complaint is that fan/radiator mounting surface should be able to extend down in the 5.25” bays/basement, since most people probably won’t use ODD, and mesh over the 5.25” bays.
yes so the old hard drives can get some air
What’s the difference in temperature/fan noise when you compare a Mini case with a Midi tower case?
I‘d like to buy this Fractal pop mini but I‘m not sure if the bigger case wouldn’t be better when it comes to thermals(?)
Hey, I'm just curious, why do you make the top 2 fans exhaust? Is it better to make the top rear fan exhaust and the top front fan an intake or have both top fans as intake?
It looks like this case is just slighty bigger in height & depth, but I feel like it makes the NZXT H210i obsolete. Very similar design & aesthetic but with better GPU compatibility. I had to ditch my h210i for a meshlicious cause there was no way I was getting my 3080ti in there. At least not without it resting on top of the PSU shroud & choking the hell out of it. With how thick GPU's are getting NZXT really needs to revise that case. Really liking fractals pop series. 👌🏾
The build should on fractal webpage rather then their cg case ads 😜,yeah may be Channge to fractal aio 😎😅.
Well inllustrated video ,especially i havent seen anyone explain about red cover of RGB controller ,love the thumbnail 🥳😎
Fractal design always build unique awesome cases that’s why I like this brand so muchh and looking forward to see their new product. Unfortunately, torrent nano doesn’t support matx it would be perfect if they did. AND NOW they released POP Mini Air comes with air flyer omg 😳 I sense compact matx case era is comingg. Lianli DAN A3 also interesting!
ps. if you have any chance kindly check on 20.7 liters mATX Chinese aluminum case ZZAW C4 actually it’s a cheap case but sadly it pricey when included shipping cost
Wish you went through more details about the compartments.
wish I could get one of these with a solid side panel and no lighting BS
we've just watched the Pop Mini Air, and Meshify 2 Mini videos... do you have a favorite between the 2? would either be better for a general purpose PC? My dad kinda liked the drawer and option for a disk drive for CDs... Any thoughts on pros and cons of those 2 cases would be appreciated. Also, motherboard recommendations to use in one of these, with a Ryzen 5 5600G would also be helpful. Thanks for these videos!
I love you guys, btw would be able to do future builds with fractal design aios? I personally really love the look of the lumen but ofc it's a wish and everything costs money haha but maybe u could consider it
I'm curious if this case is compatible with the NZXT Kraken Z53 RGB 240. The case's manual specifies a maximum width of 121mm, while the dimensions for the NZXT Kraken are stated as 123mm, indicating a 2mm discrepancy
Most air coolers are 150mm. So 170mm max is still very comfy and space efficient. Means a small case can be a small case and not stress so much about being 'roomy'.
Even the monster Noctua NH-D15 fits at 165mm
Can you possibly fit a 240mm radiator on top and 240mm radiator in front? Thinking about changing my case. I’m using an aio on both of my cpu and gpu with kraken g12, need to know if it’ll fit! Thanks in advance
nice biostar boards !! big fan of them :-)
Cool case
You should check out the SAMA IM01. It’s a 22L mATX case making it one of the smallest. Imagine if the NR200(P) supported mATX motherboards. There are also various rebrands of the case in different countries, the SAMA IM01 being the US version.
Yup, also available as Itek Evoke in europe.
There are quite a many ~10ish liter mATX cases and even sub 10L ATX case exists! (SFFtime P-ATX v1)
Please do Silverstone ALTA G1M. Another great MATX case!
pretty good case review and build, awesome video as well, are you planning to do any custom water cooling videos?
Soon :)
Is it possible to top mount a arctic liquid freezer 240mm aio in this case?
Can you adjust the fan speed if they're not PWM?
i know im late, but hot damn I wish they sent you the cyan color to go with that mobo. That would've been awesome
it looks like that space for 5.25/3.5 drives is useless once a build is complete? the psu cables take up all the space!?
nice case.
How would this compare to a Deepcool CH370? Better or worse temps?
Who doesn't love a built in medicine cabinet? =P
😂
you can vertical mount on most mATX cases with the CM Kit V3
No you can't
Clean!!!!
I want to build in this case, and it being microATX is perfect.
But i do have one question: is the ASUS TUF GAMING A620M-PLUS compatible with it? Both the case and the MB are labeled as mATX, but i just wanted to be extra sure...
I absolutely dont want the motherboard not fitting in the case xd that would be awful.
What's the release date for the case in the US?
Would a CPU cooler (Deepcool Gammaxx 400 or similar) fit if I had 2 fans up top?
Optical Drive support gives this case some serious street cred.
Someone said that the RAM will stuck with the top AIO cooler. Whats the right height of the RAM?
Beautiful build. I love that MSI 3000 series but i must ask, does GPU sag depend alot on the case ? Ive seen this card sag in another case cant remember the name
I forgot what company it is, but there's a GPU anti-sag mount that's super low profile and you can barely see it. I have it and I recommend it
It's the lian li one
Have you seen the Lian Li Dan A3 case? It's looking great. Are you in contact with them to get an early look?
The A3 case is still in development stage. Doubt it will be available for this year.
Love the review..... Made me choose this case. Just random question but whats the music you used in the video asp the Broll sections? Would love to listen to it on my playlist.
Nixiel - meet me in your dream (Just cant find the remix version)?
Can someone help me here, can you connect those 3 fans to 1 3pin connector somehow, do they come with some type of adaptor by any chance? Im just not sure if u ll need a 5fan hub connector since i ll have 5 fans in total, thanks!
What ram sticks are those?
Can you tell me what Blue-ray drive you are using in this video? I wanna find to purchase it in the future
I dunno it's about 12 years old
is the lighting controlled through MOBO software for this build? or just from the included controller?
Included controller
Would you know if I'd be able to squeeze in a 160mm PSU despite it wanting 150mm without removing the hd cage?
any luck with that?
Are there any place to put pcie network card or no? :(
