I watched this show when I was a kid with my parents. We seldom missed an episode. You forget how good this show was or how well the music was even 50 years later. Dolly Parton became a superstar under Porter Wagoner. I think Dolly Parton helped make Porter Wagoner a whole lot better too. I wish television shows were made like this today. Nope. Dolly extended Porters career. His show would have sunk years earlier, if not for Dolly being on it. Besides that, nearly all the folks that knew him, with the exception of Dolly, said he was an a$$hole. Think he tried to get into her pants for years and couldn’t. Really pissed him off.
