Thank you very much Matt and eSpares. I managed to repair my washing machine without too much problem after watching your videos. I had an elastic band stuck inside the pump, after removing it my washing machine started to work again thanks to your demos. Many thanks again.
Great video, thanks very much for making! Mine wouldn't drain but had no idea that it was even indicating an error code. Watched this, itentified as error code 5, checked my machine drain as shown and then found a plastic piece from a shirt collar and a hair bobble wrapped around the pump turbine stoping it turning. Saved me about £300 as I was just about to order a new one. 😀
Thanks for the video, we had error code F05, took the front panel off opened up the filter cover, took out a small rag, back together and all working fine.
Absoluterly superb. Thank you eSpares for this most helpful video, which allowed me to diagnose a blocked filter! Couldn't be simpler with help like this. Thanks again :-) If I could do multiple likes, I would.
Thanks for this rundown! Not sure if you're still checking comments on this vudeo, but I'm getting an F5 error on an Ariston 10+7kg washer dryer. Checked the drain filter and didn't find any blockages. I ran the washer while open to check if pressure pump spins and they're good (not sure what's the baseline on normal spinning though). Checked for any blockage on the pressure switch hose too. I observed that I get the error particularly during the drain cycles. Which leads me to think that it may be a weak pump motor. Any ideas? No hotpoint or Ariston service centers here in the Philippines so I'm stuck with DIY. :)
Hi Lagosite, if you have ruled out a blockage then it does suggest the drain pump but check the drain hose because if that is blocked it will cause the error code.
Hi have an fo5 fault. Manually drained water and unscrewed filter like u suggested. There was nothing blocked in it at all...have tried to restart machine but it does the same thing, won't drain water and stops working with fo5 in the display...any ideas? I'd b so grateful if u could help, I'm a single mum on benefits and I just can't afford to get someone in to fix it, but with a small child I really need my washer/drier!(have resorted to handwashing! Aaargh!)
Hi jojo jo, F05 means the machine has detected it hasn't drained out properly, check the drain hose for a blockage and is drain pump working? if both ok then have a look at the pressure switch as it may be stuck.
Thank you! I think this video may have saved my washing machine from going to the tip! Lets hope it was just a loose connection to the control panel and nothing else.
I have hotpoint WMFUG 942 and it's showing fault code F05, checked drained part and nothing is blocking it but it's still playing up. What could be the other problems? Thanks
Hi - thanks for your excellent video. I have an Indent Slimline Dishwasher IDS 105. The Start/Pause button is flashing quickly - can you advise what this fault is please?
Hi Charles, we believe Indesit dishwashers have fault codes in a combination of lights not just a blinking power light. For more help see another of our videos: th-cam.com/video/yL6A7I_rC2o/w-d-xo.html
Hi mat..looking for a bit of advice please. .I have a hotpoint condenser tumble dryer showing error code f07 which is the heating element needing replaced which I'm looking to do but I got told by a so called expert that even when I change the part the error code will still be showing on the digital display and that the motherboard would also need replaced? Any help would be greatly appreciated before I order the part. .thanks. ..Jimmy
Hi Jasper, once the element has been replaced there should not be an issue with the board, see our advice article www.espares.co.uk/advice/careandmaintenance/hotpoint-tcl-tumble-dryer-error-fault-codes just copy and paste into your browser.
Just wanted to say thank you very much for your advice. ..I fitted the new part today and my tumble dryer is working great again. ..very much appreciated!
Thank you for your reply. The dispenser container is clean. It is flashing H2O and the draining light. I notice is taking forever to drain. I have empty the filter already which also was clean. Now we going to try to remove the grey hose and see what happen.
Hi, I've got an Indesit 1200 WIDL126, the red door lock light flashes rapidly & the 1200/600 light flashes off/on continuously as well. I can also hear the motor come on for 1-2 minutes. This is my first time using it again after being in hospital for a long time with 3 broken vertebrae. I've reset it, unplugged it & switched it off & on to no joy. Could it be the pressure seal sensor or the belt come off/snapped? Any help or advice would be mightily appreciated. Thanks.
Hi, if the door locks does the machine fill with water?, It may be something as simple as a 'friend' has turned the water off while you were away to prevent a leak. If you need more information watch this video as it may help identify the problem: th-cam.com/video/QYPqpjLV7s4/w-d-xo.html&list=PLZopaZU-UQSHj1noiwEJ99JjXWcEcSAbZ&index=1
Louise Bateman To help us identify the part you require please fill in the details on the form found by using the 'Help Me Find The Part I Need' link at : www.espares.co.uk/contact/sales
Nick Douralis As shown in the video at 0:46 read the lights in binary to identify the number fault code and refer to the rest of the video for the cause of that number shown.
Hi,we have just bought a hot point Aqua washing machine on gumtree and seen the lights working before we purchased it but when we switched it on at home it keeps tripping the fuse box, don't know if there's a reset button or something else..any feedback would be great.
Tripping the fuse box is likely to be a faulty heater element or the mains filter where the cable enters the machine. Check the filter for signs of liquid, smoke or damage like a crack. If this is OK the heater is likely to be the cause.
Hi 😊 We faced a F08 error code here in Turkey, hotpoint ariston wash machine. But we will need to call the tech. to fix it. At least we know what causes for it. Thank you. 👍
Great video however my washer has a problem but doesn't display an error code number it had what looked like a dripping tape in the LCD display and the programe seems to have paused pressing pause/start lets it continue any ideas
@@eSpares yes a dripping tap its a Hotpoint Whirlpool NM11 964 GC A UK pressed stop start and the cycle.completed ok. Did another cycle (with no washing load) and it completed OK Checked filter and pump and all ok as well Many thanks for the quick reply
Hello, My Indesit washer is displaying F06 on the digital screen and the door will not unlock at the end of the wash. Can you advise if there is a manual way to open the door? Unplugging as well as spinning and draining haven't worked in releasing the lock, and the red light remains on. Thanks
Hi Melissa, most Indesit machines use a 'thermal' door lock. If unplugged for over 2 minutes will allow the door to open even if full of water. The error codes for Indesit machines are shown here: th-cam.com/video/aud14I0Zu9M/w-d-xo.html
Excelent tutorial! I's specifically searching for Indesit Wite 87. It powers up, and allows to select programs, but no program starts. It seems door doesn't lock, so systems avoids starting. ¿Any idea what to check or some other service manual reference? Thanks a lot.
It can be difficult to identify but have you seen our advice article referenced in the video ?: www.espares.co.uk/advice/7/3905/ If you still are unsure as to the problem see our other diagnosis videos to identify the cause: th-cam.com/video/QYPqpjLV7s4/w-d-xo.html
I’ve got all lights flashing stopping mid-wash. Not quite sure how you worked out your error code jumping to 8 on the last light. If it’s 1,2 & 8 what’s the 3rd light equate to?
As we say in the video 'for more information see our advice centre': www.espares.co.uk/advice/careandmaintenance/hotpoint-and-indesit-washing-machine-error-fault-codes THis should help identify the problem easily.
Hi there . I have a 2 year old indesit xwb 71252. It won't stop beeping constantly during any cycle. I have checked filter at front and cleaned it. I have also cleaned the machine. Any advice greatly appreciated. X
Hi Charlibabe, has the machine completed a wash with no problems, the beeping may indicate an issue but we need to identify if there is a fault or just a problem with the PCB beeping.
That's really useful and just a shame Hotpoint didn't put these codes in the manual. Where does one read the binary error code in the the WMF series? In my case a WMF 740 P UK R. Which LED is the most significant and which is the least significant (1) bit. I've a Delay start, Mini load, Reduce Creases and Start LED flashing on one programme module I've tried. Hastily, I bought it used going by the codes on the label without looking at the exact model and it's from a WMD 740P. In the programme module that blew - on which I replaced L001 (actually a resistor, not an inductor as suggested by the L signifier) and C034 - the temperature selector LED lights and is selectable. The Start button flashes but a cycle can't be started. Nothing else illuminates. It powercycled during a wash (brownout), which I would have thought the OEM would have mitigated against. I swapped the firmware daughterboards and fault codes / issues have followed the firmware.
Electronics engineer eh Frank?. Manufacturers do not generally give us diagrams so we cannot help with the pcb repairs. However we do have many 'diagnosis videos and a great advice centre. To decode the fault codes see our article: www.espares.co.uk/advice/careandmaintenance/hotpoint-and-indesit-washing-machine-error-fault-codes
hi, our hotpoint washer/dryer is showing f10 code, i've replaced the pressure switch and it did one wash perfectly but on the next one it's come up with the code again. i've blown down the pipe and it's clear, can hear water bubbling at the bottom, is there supposed to be water there? just wondering if it's something that happened in transit as it had to be laid down
On later Hotpoint machines the water level is detected by a 'linear' pressure switch. These can need calibrating when the machine is 'disturbed' ' The way to do this is completely drain the machine and disconnect the switch to allow any water in the pipe to run into the tub. Once the pipe is reconnected pour approximately two litres of water into the drum using a jug or bottle. Now turn on the machine and select 'drain' and 'start', the machine should empty and be reset ready to run a cycle.
Hi, I have an Indesit IWME126 which does a wash but then won't open the door. At this point it flashes error codes. Sometimes F01 sometimes F06. I've had to open it manually (following one of your videos) but keep getting the same problem recurring. Can you help?
Hi Catherine, F01 being a motor problem could be due to worn motor brushes which also may be intermittent until completely worn away. For more information see our other videos: th-cam.com/video/MNInJd7js5A/w-d-xo.html and th-cam.com/video/D5Aw7CBEGPI/w-d-xo.html
Hi I have a IWDD7143S washer drier it runs for exactly 5 mins then goes to code F13 and the 3 panel lights flash very fast, your video says its a drier fault code but it doesn't even get to the drying cycle, when I put it into spin only, and turn off all drying cycles I hear the pressure switch chatter for a second, it sits and counts down for couple of minutes then goes to F13 again. the machine is full of water. pressure switch seem ok, I will remove the pressure hose and check it and will clean the filter and pressure module at the bottom of the drum any thing else you can recommend? Cheers Simon
Hi Simon, this is a common problem usually caused by a faulty NTC sensor on the dryer heater tunnel. Although the machine is in a wash cycle if the sensor 'tells' the control board that it is detecting heat from the dryer the machine shuts down. We have just posted a video of replacing this sensor at: th-cam.com/video/mXvsW_JW5rk/w-d-xo.html and hope this helps with your repair.
thanks for the reply, do you supply them ££? where is it located? and how do I remove it' I can see a sensor (small black one) right at the front of the heater tunnel (door end) is that it? cheers Simon
Simon Vann Yes that is it and by chance we have just published a video on replacing it at: th-cam.com/video/mXvsW_JW5rk/w-d-xo.html The part appears to have been replaced (possibly due to failures) with: www.espares.co.uk/product/es1635979
Hi I have a hotpoint wmpg742 and it is stuck on a spin program, if I let it run through the program and then open the door. select another program with the dial, as soon ny button on the control panel is touched it goes back to the spin program again?
Hi Ian, from the way you have described I would suspect the PCB, also check the motor as if it has a tacho that has failed it is possible for it to go directly into spin.
I have an indesit witxl 1251 (eu) and I had some lights flashing during an unfinished washing cycle. Where can I find the code that those flushing lights correspond to?
Hi Alexis, as we say in the video 'for more information visit our advice centre' you can use this link: www.espares.co.uk/advice/7/3905/hotpoint-and-indesit-washing-machine-error-fault-codes If you cannot identify your code from our article then try watching our diagnosis videos like these: th-cam.com/play/PLZopaZU-UQSHj1noiwEJ99JjXWcEcSAbZ.html
Hi, I have a indesit washer xwd71452 showing error code f06 I have looked it up on indesit website and it says it’s a door lock fault code, but something tells me it’s not that for some reason, I’m a bit unsure what to do, do you have any help for me, is there anyway I can reset it at all, thanks.
I had F05. Took the panel off on the bottom of the front of the machine. Unscrewed the drainage filter. A lot of water was in the machine so had to raise the machine and put a bucket underneath it. After the machine had drained I could see a hair clip was jamming the impeller from moving. I removed the hair clip and it worked fine.
Gardo Thats a nice simple fix. :-) Remember if you accidently leave a coin or nail in your pocket it can damage your drum and require replacement. Always check pockets are empty when loading clothes into the machine.
Hi. I have an indesit WiDL106 that started flashing (the first and the third buttons) and I don't understant how to diagnose it. How did you pick the numbers for the sum? Why 8?
The led's are flashing binary numbers. There are 4 led's counting from right to left. The numbers in the video are 2 to the 0 , 1 , or 3rd power depending on which led is flashing.
My Indesit washing machine IWC6083 few mnutes into wash, it will stops and all the lights are blinking light on all buttons. The water inside the drum could not drain out. I also could not open the door. Which error code is this? I suspect the drain pipe is choked. Once I have this problem I remove a piece of plastic in the drain and it is working. But this time I could not find where it chokes. What Indesit error code for all lights blinking? How do I solve it? Appreciate your help.
+Jerry Yap Disconnect the power for a couple of minutes (dont try the door as it will open) then turn on and select spin. The water should drain and if the machine spins suspect the heater (see our video: th-cam.com/video/Ftm8lDVVw2E/w-d-xo.html). If the machine does not turn see another video: th-cam.com/video/D5Aw7CBEGPI/w-d-xo.html
+Lee Harrison We believe the problem may be the door lock itself. Turn the power off to the machine and if the door cannot be opened after it has been left for 2 minutes give a firm thump on the front panel as this may jar the lock and release the door. Try again and if the problem reoccurs suspect the lock.
Hi! I have an hotpoin/ariston ARL 105 (EU) washing machine and when i select the spin program with 1000 rpm, the motor and whater pump start and when is in max speed, the main board send a signal to the door lock and the motor stop. this doesn´t happens when i select 600 rpm. it´s possible to be the error F02?
Hi Pedro, we had a similar problem on a range of Hotpoint machines in the UK some years back. The cure was to replace the control board, re programme with updated software and if required also replace the motor. This was great with warranty repairs but could be very expensive if not. This problem might be best sorted with a Hotpoint/Ariston service agent. :-(
Hi there eSpares. My friend has a indesit WP80 (EX) with serial number 402097263-46295490030,and type number LB 2000 C. the problem is this.if you select the program on NR1 or NR2 on the dial no problem but it functions at 90 degrees celcius.Selecting the dial at NR3 at 60 degrees celcius, the dial goes round like a clock and it does not stop at the stop point.
+bruce kazakos If some Indesit machines identify a problem the machine 'shuts down' and rotates the timer knob continuously. As the problem seems 'temperature dependent' check the heater is working OK. For more diagnosis help see another of our videos: th-cam.com/video/QYPqpjLV7s4/w-d-xo.html
Hi. I have a Hotpoint Extra WMXTF 742 washing machine. It has a burning smell and an FO6 light code and lights flashing, will go off but red door lock sign stays on, it's not locked though as I can still open. Any ideas???? thanks
Hi Tracey, Fo6 refers to a door lock fault but I am concerned about the burning smell so make sure you check for any signs of burning inside the machine.
Hello, i have a indesit wil 85. It doesn't show any errors. I have checked the brushes, they are ok, cleaned the module board, the locker is ok.what should i do? can you help me? thx
What is the machine doing?. Does it fill and empty. The best way to find the problem is watch this video and work out what is working and what is not: th-cam.com/video/QYPqpjLV7s4/w-d-xo.html
Hi, we have a Hotpoint TDWSF 83EP dryer and error code F06 is showing. i reset the the dryer so the code disappears, it works for about a minute then the F06 error code displays again. Any ideas what this can be? Cheers
Hi B33617b, error code F02 on a Hotpoint dryer indicates a motor fault, check out our advice centre www.espares.co.uk/advice/careandmaintenance/hotpoint-tcl-tumble-dryer-error-fault-codes
Hi, our Indesit IWE71482 takes no water, valves do not make any noise, only water pump works at the end, as far as i could control, all hoses seam to be free, door does not open after 3 min. prior a F05 occures, but i have cleaned the two coins from the pump. the coils of the valves ar not broken. what can i check?
+Raik Ju The F05 error is indicating the machine 'believe' the drum is full of water. Disconnect the pressure switch and blow down the tube to the tub to check it is not blocked. Do not reconnect until the machine is empty and there is no blockage. For more information see another video: th-cam.com/video/2pIVkAxWSXg/w-d-xo.html
Hi great videos but I've been unable to suss out why my washing machine isn't working, please help! I have an Indesit WIXXE127. Went to take my washing out and it was flashing 'door' so tried to open the door to shut again to start the cycle but the door was locked. Switched it off at the mains, it unlocked and I was able to open the door. Reset the machine buy holding down the start button and tried to start the cycle again but it froze, programme time stays on but door lock sign doesn't appear, nothing else happens and no fault codes flash on the display. It will unlock once I've turned the machine off. I have replaced the door catch but that didn't work. Thanks
HI MAT I DONT GET THE LIGHTS BIT 1 + 2 +8? WHAT MAKES IT 8 AND NOT 4 I HAVE A BWD 129 WASHER DRYER WITH 3 AND 4 FLASHING WITCH ARE QUICK WASH AND 1200/600 SPIN AND ALSO THE POWER LIGHT THANKS MAT
+RICHARD CRANFIELD I'm glad I'm not the only one that made absolutely no sense to. That's the important bit - the meaning of the error codes can be found all over the internet, but I can't figure out which error code it is!!
+Nic Peters Error codes are a guide used by engineers familiar with these machines. You may find our other diagnosis videos more useful as they work through causes of the problems. First identify when the machine fails (doesn't fill or turn or drain for example) then follow the video for filling, motor or emptying etc. Use the following link to go to our Diagnosis videos: th-cam.com/play/PLZopaZU-UQSHj1noiwEJ99JjXWcEcSAbZ.html
Hi Manuela, h2o is saying that water is not being identified in filling to the correct level in the allowed time. This could be normally a water supply problem or pressure sensor fault. In this case it may be something simpler, If the hose from the detergent dispenser is blocked from to much powder then water may flood out and as it has not filled in time the machine may show this error. Check the hose is not blocked.
Hi I got same washing machine but I got only the lock light flashing. It did stop washing and some water were inside I can open the door but it doesn't start and only the lock light flashing. can you help please?
I have a Indeset WC61651 and when washing it goes through first cycle then stops with all lights flashing. Eco Time, Energy Saver, Extra Rinse, Delay Timer and Start Pause. Going to get in touch with Argos as 11 month old but checking that it's not a code saying it's something we've done, is it?? Thanks Even sad enough to have a little video of it
Hi John, Your machine is likely to be showing an error code on the combination of vertical lights. As the machine fills and starts washing the problem is likely to be in one of two areas. Either it recognises the water is not heating (to check run empty on a boil wash, when the drum pauses after a few minutes you may hear the water being heated like a kettle). If this is not happening you should contact the supplier as under warranty. Or if the machine is draining slowly and does not empty within 30 to 45 seconds the machine 'times out' and indicates a drain problem. This could be debris in the pump and you should check the filter at the bottom of the machine.
F02 refers to a motor error. Check if your motor has brushes as if the motor does not turn it may cause this problem. For more information see another video: th-cam.com/video/MNInJd7js5A/w-d-xo.html
Hi espares I have a hotpoint model FTCL871GP (UK) condenser dryer. My problem is that once the dryer has been turned on the empty water indicator light turns on (there's no water in the rank to empty) put the tank back in, turn on the dryer n after bout 5 secs the light comes on again stops the dryer and beeps. Please help!
The water is first pumped up to the container from a reservoir at the back with a float. Check the pump and float as shown in this video: th-cam.com/video/m_7wczGYLcs/w-d-xo.html
Hi I have a he8l493ghotpoint red key light stays on won't start wash because door won't lock. Now flashing all lights. Little one was pressing buttons it's not old. Any help very much appreciated.
Hi Eve 27, the key light flashing would normally indicate the door is not properly closed or the door lock has failed, all the lights flashing indicates the wash cycle has been abandoned so start with sorting the first error as may be related.
+nickeystardust We can supply the card (Model dependent) and the card reader is here: www.espares.co.uk/product/es1131258 To use simply fit a new module and plug the care reader into the oval fitting at the back with the card fitted into it. When the power is first switched on the reader will turn on a red LED. A few seconds later this goes off and a green LED blinks for about 20 seconds as it passes the data over until programmed. If successful the green light stops flashing and remains on. The card can only be used once as it is erased. Probably cheaper to get a manufacturers agent like repaircare to do this as the part is expensive. :-(
Thank you very much, do you know if the module is reprogrammable? For example, if I take a module from one machine and install it in a different model but compatible to this module will it erase it and install the new program?
Can you please tell me why my Hotpoint Ariston washing machine keeps bleeping. There is no error code displayed. It bleeps even when I set it to come on during the night so hasn't even started a cycle. Thanks.
Hi Elizabeth, the beeping is not indicating a fault so this is unusual, try unplugging it to reset the electronics and check if the buttons in the control panel are sticking causing it to bleep.
I have a hotpoint Aquarius put a load in this morning whilst I was in the kitchen , I heard a beeping sound which I thought was coming from the microwave which I was using . Once microwave was turned off I could still hear the beeping coming from the cupboard the washer is in , on inspection H20 was on the panel ? And the washer still bleeping . I turned the washer off at the wall and we inspected the pump nothing untoward we then looked at the pipes to see if they were bent ( nothing there ) . I then turned the machine on and again H20 came up beeping water sounded like it was going into the machine but no movement . Any ideas please ?
H2O is a 'water' warning suggesting it is either filling slowly (has the water pressure in the house suddenly gone down due to work locally ?). The machine allows about a minute to fill, if longer or the water is draining away you may get this message.
Hello , I got a indesit witl 62. It is working according the settings. I put the 30-40 minutes programme and keeps working for 1h30 minutes. I try different settings but still the same problem. any ideas? thanks.
+Christos Aggelopoulos Check the appliance is heating the water correctly and it fills and drains in the correct time (under 2 minutes to fill and empties in under a minute). Also check the machine without anything heavy as if it cannot balance it may extend the cycle.
Hi I have an Indesit W133, when it's set to wash the clothes it's all fine until it starts to rinse, then the dial keeps rotating clockwise and the light blinks twice and continues to keep rotating, and advice would be great thanks.
gus singh Put the machine on a boil wash and check if any heat is detected. It may be the machine does not 'see' any heat and therefore shuts down and empties as it has a problem.
eSpares hi the machine starts ok by filling with water and then after a couple of minutes it starts to drain and the dial continues to rotate and the red light flashes twice and then I have to reset it and it does the same thing! could it be the programme board at the back of the machine at the bottom?
Hello Matt, I got Hotpoint HVF 344 model and it's showing error code F-12 can you please help me to solve this issue I did open top & back panel and checked all the connections they are in place, the connections in the upper controls board and main control board are in place but still its showing the code. Thanks
+Sadiq Farooqi It sounds like a faulty PCB. This could be the front but is more likely to be the power module. The module will need programming so it may be time to call an engineer as the equipment to program is expensive.
+eSpares Many thanks for your suggestion as you said programming was expensive and the engineer said the same thing, I end up changing my washing machine.
Hi Kev, put on a hot wash and check if there is any sign of heat after the cycle stops. If it doesn't see another video: th-cam.com/video/Ftm8lDVVw2E/w-d-xo.html
The door should not be leaking unless you have damaged the seal, on some Hotpoint's you can get a little leak from the dispenser drawer if there is any black mould in there. We would suspect the water temperature sensor is not recognising the water is heating if this error occurs BEFORE the machine starts to drain for the rinse cycle. Also try running the rinse cycle on its own to confirm it is not a drain problem.
Hotpoint wdud9640 , F:06, Lock light on , flashing lights across bottom of screen, sounds like its trying to pump out although empty, door wont open although pulling the manual tab by the filter will open it, no wash cycles will run. Switched off at mains, problem still there. Any ideas?
Although not listed in our information we believe this error may be used for a faulty door lock so would suggest you start by replacing this. Please confirm if this solves the problem for future reference.
Hi from sunny Greece. I have an Indesit WIDXL 86 wash machine and dryer about 7 y old not much used. it starts to load water and it stops the red light flashes continously then it starts again and wash for about 20-30 minutes as normally. Then it stops, the red light flashes and sometimes the leds from the iron and extra rinse buttons flashes together. Please note that the drain and spin/rinse circle works quite well. I have not tried the dryer to see if it works. The techician told us that we need a new motherboard which costs about 200e. We prefer to buy a new machine if it cannot be fixed. Any idea where is the problem? Thank you for your time. Have a fabulous 2016!!!!!!!!!
+eSpares thank you for your reply. The water is heated normally up to 90 degrees.I gave the motherboard to be checked by a technician. Thanks again have a happy 2016
Check the condenser is clear and water is being pumped to the container at the top. If it isn't see another video: th-cam.com/video/m_7wczGYLcs/w-d-xo.html
please help !! washing maschine indesit, model will 133, flashing first light (extra rinse) and third (stain removal) and the start light also flashing. what error code is that?? thanks!m
We have a video for Hotpoint and Indesit error codes but in this case it will be easier for you to identify the error by going to our updated advice centre article here: www.espares.co.uk/advice/7/3905/hotpoint-and-indesit-washing-machine-error-fault-codes
Hi Tracey, the problem may be due to ice if it is in a very cold position. The water reservoir at the back can freeze in very cold areas, if this happens the pump will run continuously (hence F04) and the heat will be switched off. After the very cold spell we in the UK have just had it is now warming up, if still 'icy' bring into a warm room and retry after a day and it may then work correctly.
Disconnect the power remove the back and have a towel ready. Then pour some water in the drum and identify where the water leaks out. If there is no leaks select spin and check if the machine empties. If the machine starts working watch it on a short cycle to see where it stops to identify the problem and see another video: th-cam.com/users/edit?o=U&video_id=QYPqpjLV7s4
hi. i have a problem with indesit wise 107s. when program set but cycle doesnt starts and nothing happens but the door stays locked after 3-5 minutes there is a flashing "DOOR" message. and door lock red led weak light seems difficultly. how can i fix this.?
Hi Ricad, the board is flashing the door message as it thinks the door is open, check the door lock & connections first, is it filling? also, check the connections to the board and look for any signs of damage to the board that would indicate an issue.
Hi Ricad, if it has filled it will not wash so check the water pressure and test the water valve with a multimeter and we have a video on the valve that might help th-cam.com/video/LB9--AvSvZg/w-d-xo.html&t
eSpares problem was solved. Problem was in motor brushes and i changed them. Everything i ok. Thanks. You are great. I remember, 3 years ago you are helped me to solve problem like this.
+viknes waran Hence the confusion, you should watch another video which tells you the problem is likely to be the door lock, see: th-cam.com/video/ERJNwmGQW4w/w-d-xo.html
hello.plz help me to fix my washing machine hotpoing she doesn't spin.and she flash lights , she do f 18 .Please help me to fix it thankyou. hotpoint , wmef 943
Hi Fadou, as we say at 5:38 F18 is a problem with the boards not communicating. Check the connections for damaged wires or signs of corrosion. If no corrosion is found you may need one or possibly both boards. As the module needs to be programmed when replacing you may need to contact the manufacturers or their service agents to carry out the repair.
can u help me I have a Hotpoint washing machine WMFUG742G UK . the problem I have is the drum spins Fast when I switch it on .. the machine comes on ok but a soon as I close the door it will spin and then stop...
This sounds like a motor 'tacho' fault, this is the sensor that identifies the motor speed. For more information see our diagnosis videos like this one: th-cam.com/video/D5Aw7CBEGPI/w-d-xo.html
Hope it has helped, If you are still trying to identify your problem we also have many diagnosis videos like these: th-cam.com/play/PLZopaZU-UQSHj1noiwEJ99JjXWcEcSAbZ.html
Hi australia68300, if your machine is a Hotpoint or Indesit and the codes match our European models it should show F01. This would be a control board problem. As stated in the video you may not be able to replace this part and programme the machine afterwards.
Hi Vitaliy Rom, F15 refers to a heater control fault which indicates the washer dryer is not heating the water or pauses during the wash cycle so test the element first.
hello i have a problem with my washing machine. The model is continental ctn 5e61 The problem starts at the beginning of the program but also at the end of the program explain in detail when it starts to gets water gets some water stops and makes pump out post again gets water and makes the regular program until reach the end of the program where there spin and follow not the ever-ending program only if the Closed i. Help i got a new washing machine indesit XWE 81683 and i get error code F 06 and the start/pause button blinks as well as the push/wash button blinks and the door won't open. Helppp
Give a thump on the door frame to shock the lock and try again. If this does not work turn the power off and then beck on and the door should click to unlock. If still locked open the filter flap and pull the 'emergency release' cable (green?) and the door will open.
We are having difficulty finding a F15 error but have found a F51 error which may be due to a drum rotation problem possibly caused by an item of clothing jammed between drum and tub causing the drum to drag. Check this and if the drum is OK run a test cycle to identify what is happening and when. For more information see one of our diagnosis videos: th-cam.com/video/QYPqpjLV7s4/w-d-xo.html
Hello , i have a indesit washing machine win 101 , the lock door led and the spin reduce speed led in flashing , i dont know what error code is that , can someone help me with that?
Hi Narcis, have a look at our advice centre article: www.espares.co.uk/advice/7/3905/ This suggests you have a F04 fault indicating a problem with the pressure switch or hose, for more information on resolving this see another video: th-cam.com/video/2pIVkAxWSXg/w-d-xo.html
Hi dannydirt dirt, error code H20 indicates the machine has detected a problem filling with water, start by checking the water supply and test the inlet valve.
@@eSpares it's a dryer not a washing machine? When I am running it the circle lasts for around 2 minutes and that's when the code pops up. When I take out the water tray it's bone dry.
Hi dannydirt dirt, checked and it doesn't list that error code for a dryer but check for a blockage as we have had someone say it was causing the same code.
indesit wise107S washing maschine door locks but lock led doesn't lights in display and mashcine doesn't work. after some minutes there is door on display. Spin light is on but doesn't start. Please help.

Thank you very much Matt and eSpares. I managed to repair my washing machine without too much problem after watching your videos. I had an elastic band stuck inside the pump, after removing it my washing machine started to work again thanks to your demos. Many thanks again.
Hi Blaise, glad we helped sort out your problem and hope we can help again in the future.
Thanks for the feedback Matt, remember to 'like’ the video if you enjoyed it or it helped.👍
Thanks for the insight - It appears that washing machine error codes are more accurate than electric oven error codes, as I've recently discovered.
+1954BJohn Sorry I am late replying but TH-cam has just 'found' your comment. Glad to hear te video was usefull. :-)
Absoluterly superb. Thank you eSpares for this most helpful video, which allowed me to diagnose a blocked filter! Couldn't be simpler with help like this. Thanks again :-) If I could do multiple likes, I would.
I have fault code F06, can you advise what I do with this please. It relates to the door lock mechanism. Thanks
Dear espares, thanks a lot for this clip, it right now helped me to get my Hotpoint washer/dryer running by myself. Absolutely awesome. Thank you!

Hi, what does E13 mean on a whirpool washing machine? Thank you!!
I have a indesit Wlb111 and have the door lock anti crease and rapid wash lights flashing, what fault code would that be?
Thank you! I think this video may have saved my washing machine from going to the tip! Lets hope it was just a loose connection to the control panel and nothing else.
Hi Specimen8, thank you for the comment and glad we could help.
For more help see another of our videos:

Thanks for the quick reply. .I'll give it a go and see how it works out. .thanks again

If you need more information watch this video as it may help identify the problem:

Hello Matt, great video. I have an Indesit WIXXL 86 and all the lights are flashing. How i can identify the error code ?
Hi 😊
We faced a F08 error code here in Turkey, hotpoint ariston wash machine. But we will need to call the tech. to fix it. At least we know what causes for it. Thank you. 👍
Hi Hakan, you are welcome and good luck.
Great video however my washer has a problem but doesn't display an error code number it had what looked like a dripping tape in the LCD display and the programe seems to have paused pressing pause/start lets it continue any ideas
If you mean dripping tap it could be a fault indication, either of no water entering unit or a leak, would need make and model details to be accurate.
@@eSpares yes a dripping tap its a Hotpoint Whirlpool NM11 964 GC A UK pressed stop start and the cycle.completed ok.
Did another cycle (with no washing load) and it completed OK

Hello, My Indesit washer is displaying F06 on the digital screen and the door will not unlock at the end of the wash. Can you advise if there is a manual way to open the door? Unplugging as well as spinning and draining haven't worked in releasing the lock, and the red light remains on. Thanks
Hi Melissa, most Indesit machines use a 'thermal' door lock. If unplugged for over 2 minutes will allow the door to open even if full of water.
The error codes for Indesit machines are shown here:
th-cam.com/video/aud14I0Zu9M/w-d-xo.html
Excelent tutorial! I's specifically searching for Indesit Wite 87. It powers up, and allows to select programs, but no program starts. It seems door doesn't lock, so systems avoids starting. ¿Any idea what to check or some other service manual reference? Thanks a lot.
Check the motor brushes as if they have worn away the machine may not lock the door. If the brushes are OK then suspect the door lock.
My hotpoint washing machine has all option lights on and door lock help please

For more information see our other videos:
th-cam.com/video/MNInJd7js5A/w-d-xo.html and
th-cam.com/video/D5Aw7CBEGPI/w-d-xo.html
We have just posted a video of replacing this sensor at:
th-cam.com/video/mXvsW_JW5rk/w-d-xo.html
and hope this helps with your repair.
thanks for the reply, do you supply them ££?
where is it located? and how do I remove it'
I can see a sensor (small black one) right at the front of the heater tunnel (door end) is that it?
cheers Simon
Simon Vann Yes that is it and by chance we have just published a video on replacing it at: th-cam.com/video/mXvsW_JW5rk/w-d-xo.html

Hi, I have a indesit washer xwd71452 showing error code f06 I have looked it up on indesit website and it says it’s a door lock fault code, but something tells me it’s not that for some reason, I’m a bit unsure what to do, do you have any help for me, is there anyway I can reset it at all, thanks.
Hi Gav, according to Indesit service error code F06 does refer to the door lock.

My indesit washer flash all lights at the same time, what do you think I've to check? Pls
Hi abdu3d, you have not mentioned an error code so what was it doing when it started flashing all the lights as we need to determine where to start.
Hi, I have an Indesit IWE7145 and it has the error code F06. The door is stuck and will not release. Can you help me out please?
Fantastic Video. Very informative

For more diagnosis help see another of our videos: th-cam.com/video/QYPqpjLV7s4/w-d-xo.html

what can i check?
+Raik Ju The F05 error is indicating the machine 'believe' the drum is full of water. Disconnect the pressure switch and blow down the tube to the tub to check it is not blocked. Do not reconnect until the machine is empty and there is no blockage. For more information see another video:

Hi and about error code h2o on indesit waching machine? My machine start flashing H2o and start overflow water from the door and from the dispenser

Going to get in touch with Argos as 11 month old but checking that it's not a code saying it's something we've done, is it??

Even sad enough to have a little video of it
Hi John, Your machine is likely to be showing an error code on the combination of vertical lights.
This could be debris in the pump and you should check the filter at the bottom of the machine.
how do I repair the F02 error on my Indesit washing machine .Is there any video on how to fix it ?
F02 refers to a motor error. Check if your motor has brushes as if the motor does not turn it may cause this problem. For more information see another video: th-cam.com/video/MNInJd7js5A/w-d-xo.html

Hi Louis.
@@eSpares thanks so much
Your welcome Eve 27
Hi, do you have the card reader? how can I buy it? what about the programming card? how does it work? thank you
+nickeystardust We can supply the card (Model dependent) and the card reader is here: www.espares.co.uk/product/es1131258
To use simply fit a new module and plug the care reader into the oval fitting at the back with the card fitted into it. :-(
Thank you very much, do you know if the module is
reprogrammable? For example, if I take a
module from one machine and install it in a different model but compatible to this module will it erase it and install the new program?
+nickeystardust Yes it is possible to reprogramme, but again the smart card erases after each use.
+eSpares Wow... that is great! I've already made an inquiry in your web site regarding the card I need 10x a lot for the extraordinary support
+nickeystardust :-)
Hi i have a indesit washer and all the lights are flashing and i want to fix it myself can u help pls
Nicholas Leighton What is the error code as described in the video at 0:46 ?.
It may be the machine does not 'see' any heat and therefore shuts down and empties as it has a problem.
eSpares hi the machine starts ok by filling with water and then after a couple of minutes it starts to drain and the dial continues to rotate and the red light flashes twice and then I have to reset it and it does the same thing! could it be the programme board at the back of the machine at the bottom?
gus singh Also could it be the tacho magnet, motor jammed or brushes on the motor?
+gus singh If you cannot identify the code for more information see another video: th-cam.com/video/QYPqpjLV7s4/w-d-xo.html
very useful ! thank you!

+Sadiq Farooqi Sorry we could not help more on this occasion but hopefully we will in the future. :-)
My 2014 model won't begin it's cycle. It makes several clicking sounds and the word 'door' flashes. Any ideas?
Hi Nicos, the door flashing indicates the door lock is not working, check the door lock and replace if necessary.
@@eSpares Thanks. Ironically I changed the locks but problem persisted. Turns out it was the bushes
I've got a hotpoint wmyl 7151. it stops mid cycle and all the lights flash rapidly. usually has water stuck in it yet the door opens. any ideas?
Hi Kev, put on a hot wash and check if there is any sign of heat after the cycle stops. If it doesn't see another video:
th-cam.com/video/Ftm8lDVVw2E/w-d-xo.html
It gives off heat but i put it on an hour cycle and it stopped about 20 minutes early with water still in it. Now the door is leaking slightly too 😭
The door should not be leaking unless you have damaged the seal, on some Hotpoint's you can get a little leak from the dispenser drawer if there is any black mould in there.
We would suspect the water temperature sensor is not recognising the water is heating if this error occurs BEFORE the machine starts to drain for the rinse cycle. Also try running the rinse cycle on its own to confirm it is not a drain problem.
Tried the spin and pump and stops every time with water in it then the flashing lights
Sounds like either the you have a partial blockage or a failing pump. For more information see another video: th-cam.com/video/frEJhX9Sppw/w-d-xo.html
Very Well Read. Bravo
Thanks Chaz. :-)
Your welcome. Keep going.
So helpful!! 😁Thanks.
We also have many diagnosis videos to help understand the error code results.
+maria pap Check the water heater has not failed as it may cause this type of symptom.

thank you for your reply. The water is heated normally up to 90 degrees.I gave the motherboard to be checked by a technician. Thanks again have a happy 2016

We have a video for Hotpoint and Indesit error codes but in this case it will be easier for you to identify the error by going to our updated advice centre article here: www.espares.co.uk/advice/7/3905/hotpoint-and-indesit-washing-machine-error-fault-codes
Hello i have a hotpoint dryer thats flashing fo4 and is not heating up thanks
Hi Tracey, the problem may be due to ice if it is in a very cold position. The water reservoir at the back can freeze in very cold areas, if this happens the pump will run continuously (hence F04) and the heat will be switched off. After the very cold spell we in the UK have just had it is now warming up, if still 'icy' bring into a warm room and retry after a day and it may then work correctly.
Hi, my hotpoint TUMBLE DRYER is saying this. Is F04 the same fault in tumble dryer as a washing machine? thank you.
Ps, my dryer is in my kitchen and there's central heating on in my house as I'm like ice on a warm day as I'm too soft 😂
hello. i have indesit iwe7105 and i have problem machine dont working...its say code h20 pls halp me
Check the water inlet pipe is supplying enough water and at sufficient pressure.
Hi there
I got hot point and it has all the lights flashing, and water leaking under the machine, what it could be the flat ?
Disconnect the power remove the back and have a towel ready. Then pour some water in the drum and identify where the water leaks out. If there is no leaks select spin and check if the machine empties. If the machine starts working watch it on a short cycle to see where it stops to identify the problem and see another video:

Hello
I got that f15 error code on my washing dryer. But I dont understand how to fix it
Hi Sirlceak, an F15 error code is usually related to a dryer heater relay problem.
@@eSpares How is this fixed please
hi. i have a problem with indesit wise 107s. when program set but cycle doesnt starts and nothing happens but the door stays locked after 3-5 minutes there is a flashing "DOOR" message. and door lock red led weak light seems difficultly. how can i fix this.?
Hi Ricad, the board is flashing the door message as it thinks the door is open, check the door lock & connections first, is it filling? also, check the connections to the board and look for any signs of damage to the board that would indicate an issue.
no it doesn't filling.
I remember, 3 years ago you are helped me to solve problem like this.
hi can I knw if error code e31 is related to door problem, how to fix it and it that e31 error code got related to heater
+viknes waran What make and model are we talking about?, we are only aware of errors up to F17 on Hotpoint/Indesit machines.
+eSpares model is ewf-10741,made electrolux
+viknes waran Hence the confusion, you should watch another video which tells you the problem is likely to be the door lock, see:

Great video! Thx!
You are very welcome. :-)
hello.plz help me to fix my washing machine hotpoing she doesn't spin.and she flash lights , she do f 18 .Please help me to fix it
thankyou. hotpoint , wmef 943
Thank you very much
can u help me I have a Hotpoint washing machine WMFUG742G UK . the problem I have is the drum spins Fast when I switch it on .. the machine comes on ok but a soon as I close the door it will spin and then stop...

Mine Indesit washing machine stuck on F8. Please Help ??
Hi naj, F8 is explained in the video at 3.22
Hi, I have error E01 do you know what it is ???
Hi australia68300, if your machine is a Hotpoint or Indesit and the codes match our European models it should show F01.
This would be a control board problem.
As stated in the video you may not be able to replace this part and programme the machine afterwards.

Can you tell about cd please
Hi Aden, error code CD is not listed for Hotpoint or Indesit, can you supply the model details.
Help i got a new washing machine indesit XWE 81683 and i get error code F 06 and the start/pause button blinks as well as the push/wash button blinks and the door won't open. Helppp
Cade F06 is likely to be a door lock problem. Check the door opens and shuts correctly and if the problem re occurs suspect the lock itself.
It doesnt open
Give a thump on the door frame to shock the lock and try again. If this does not work turn the power off and then beck on and the door should click to unlock. If still locked open the filter flap and pull the 'emergency release' cable (green?) and the door will open.
What about F15 on a Maytag washer?
We are having difficulty finding a F15 error but have found a F51 error which may be due to a drum rotation problem possibly caused by an item of clothing jammed between drum and tub causing the drum to drag. Check this and if the drum is OK run a test cycle to identify what is happening and when. For more information see one of our diagnosis videos:

My indesit dryer has a code saying H20 any ideas?
Hi dannydirt dirt, error code H20 indicates the machine has detected a problem filling with water, start by checking the water supply and test the inlet valve.
@@eSpares it's a dryer not a washing machine? When I am running it the circle lasts for around 2 minutes and that's when the code pops up. When I take out the water tray it's bone dry.
Hi dannydirt dirt, checked and it doesn't list that error code for a dryer but check for a blockage as we have had someone say it was causing the same code.
