Lol this is not a fix but a placebo :D :D :D I have disabled altogether my vr controllers and still sometimes the mouse interaction is awful. Also the toolbar toggle is not working when it decides to. No matter I have it mapped to joystick or mouse or keyboard... it just won't work then when it doesn't want. Sometimes when you start a flight you have no mouse interaction in cockpit... or if you go to menus to change something and come back... to solve that you need to hit escape wait for animation to finish then hit escape again. The VR interaction is mega bugged in msfs2024 and Asobo has no excuse for it.
Thanks for the info, now all I need is to find out is how to keep the game from crashing. Going on 12 hours in the sim without even flying a plane yet, lol.
No offense, but this is called a workaround not a fix. You can also work around it by switching back to 2d and back to VR. As for the toolbar, the problem isn't the lack of a toggle bound, it's that the toggle doesn't always work. Glad it is for you. Also FYI the mouse can move the toolbar windows in all 3 dimensions as well. Scroll your mousewheel while holding the window. I do this a lot of place the window in a physical space along the console.
If you don't have a VR remote then hit escape and go into your settings and then go back into the Sim again sometimes you may have to do this more than once but that will also restore the mouse functionality
@@TeKieler72 when you are trying it, is the mouse able to control other things? Sometimes the bug that makes the mouse unreactive will also not allow you to bring up the menu. I agree it is still a very buggy thing.
Same for me.. Mouse can click on controls in the cockpit and that works ok.. the VR toolbar refuses to work..... I have attempted to bind the toolbar to my throttle buttons and joystick buttons... doesn't work.. It's so annoying I can't change time of day or weather once I've committed to a flight.. Also sometimes my mission panel vanishes... I attempted to take my ppl 4 times but things get going wrong with panels... also had game crash on me.. Have hardly played 2024 since it came out :(
Rather than hit escape, I just switch to external view and back to cockpit and all all is well. I bound VR Toolbar Toggle to my keyboard Tab button. Still buggy but easy to find while in VR and saves my HOTAS buttons for Airplane functions.
I had figured out the VR controller thing a while back, and the controller binding for the menu. Unfortunately I find that for the menu, it only works some of the time and I can find no reason why.
Curious. I've been using computers since the beginning of time, and I've never owned a mouse that has 'accessory buttons'. I'm ashamed that I've been going mice wrong, lo these many years. I think I'll bind the toolbar to the 'return' key.
Jeez, how do you figure these out. The unresponsive mouse has been driving me crazy. Thanks so much for posting! 🎉
Sucks if you do not have a remote or use one. Only way I have found to fix this is to hit escape, then jump back into the cockpit and it works again.
Already have vr toolbar toggle assigned to a key and still doesn’t work.

Amazing, thank you so much for this - the toolbar had been driving me nuts!

Unfortunately the toolbar does not show up, even after binding a key for the toggle. 2024 is so buggy in its current state…

An alternative fix for the unresponsive mouse is to simply hit escape the hit escape again and it's working
Thanks

Brilliant! well done!
When my mouse dont work I go out and I come back with Esc two times
What VR headset are you using? Thanks.

Genius
My VR (Pimax) doesn't have remote but I still see it in front of my face!
Be sure you have the MSFS window active in your monitor.
Click on it and it should be OK.
@@gilchecksix Not clear what you mean. I'm in full screen mode, after switch in VR do not see mouse pointer at all in VR. What and how should I click?
the VR toolbar is not appearing even with binding key to it, so the hell you talk about
