I think it's really sweet when he gives her a spoonful of something to try. He looks like he is waiting for her approval and he looks so proud and flattered when she says, she likes it.

I love how all these cooking magazines say using a press is wrong, but here Gordon is using one.. I love my garlic press and will always use it.

I think the main argument is that it takes up space in kitchens. So if you had limited space/limited money to spend id agree in saying that there's better things to get for your kitchen.
That said is it great at what it does? Yeah especially for when you want your garlic to disappear into your braise/sauce. But hey you do you. That's what cooking really is about. As long as you like it.

A garlic press is amazing if youre using a decent amount of garlic (or using it regularly). I tend to find a microplane grater works just as well and it can use it for other things (and its less tedious to try and clean) but to each their own. And for large volumes of garlic, a mini-blender is fantastic.

Gordon's relationship with his Mum is so close, so nice to see them together; she's the only person on the planet who can tell him off and Gordon doesn't say anything back! It's so touchingly obvious Gordon loves his Mum to bits!!

You can hear the joy in his voice.

Seing the chef so relaxed and joyfull is great.
