Hi, fingerstyle TH-camr here. Personally I've never used synthesia aside to fact check chords that I am unsure about, but I can definitely see how this can be used as a helpful tool!
hey nice one, somehow it seems almost any instruments seems to use the same chords it may sound almost the same but somehow you may incorporate or translate them, i have somehow learn to pick my guitar not with a piano, but with flute instead, my brother somehow had a book of chords in a flute, ii manage this by translating the chords i already know and somehow sucdessfully translate it to my guitar and got the same melody as i wanted them to be, in any case this knowledge you share, as i still wanted to master the art iof fingerstyling, yeah kuha ko na lol
I was a beginner a few year ago and I only learnt less than 10 chords at the time. Decided to pick unrival to learn. Took me 3 month just to play that shit and holy fuck that was a nightmare. imagine being four and try to learn how to drive a car.
@@Snow-el7yp That's exactly what I'm saying. Picking up a difficult skill at the very beginning can be discouraging. When I picked up guitar (4 months ago), I tried to do the Interstellar theme in fingerstyle. I couldn't even properly place fingers on strings. Now, when I try the same thing I feel that I've gained speed and muscle memory.
I had this idea like 3 days ago, and now I found a video about it, incredible. Anyways you can also take the chieds from the song and so get the notes, pr put the two things together, hence rather then playing notes everywhere on the fretboard you are ginna play the notes in a known and simple chord shape, so thet is easier to play and arrange
i think this is the atleast the best way to memorize the all the notes in guitar… in this way you will literally memorize it by just looking at the notes not by the number base on the tabs
For me this is way harder as it may require you to familiarize the notes in the fretboard. What I usually do. Find the chords of the song and create an arrangement by ear using the chords. Usually the melody of the song is within the notes of the chords you are playing or somewhere near. Just a tip.
That can give you an idea, but the good ones I believe just go off instinct haha, I've watched and rewatched tons of their performances, they just combined every techniques togheter and, surely are playing by feel haha
I used to do this when I was training my ears, now I don't need any piano video for arrangements coz ik where are the notes on the guitar and how they sound so I can easily arrange any song in fingerstyle hehe
Hey man! Dope video! I see that you also like Josephine Alexandra's work and you've made videos with her arrangements. She's awesome! Would you please tab her incredible arrangement of "Welcome to Los Santos"? It's a really good theme song imo and her version is insane! I hope you give it a go because I personally can't tab it :(
Cool, but u am I going to manage to play bass notes and percussion with it at right timing and all? Thumb independence? But cool trick if u already know these things
I don't think advanced guitar fingerstyle players uses this method. Sungha Jung for example uses jazzy chords to make it more jazzy sounding. I doubt Paolo Gans would do this method too, his covers are way more complicated than just copying the synthesia. But, If someone uses this method, there's no problem with it too.
some are blessed to have that skill, and some are not. It also requires years of experience to develop that skill. This is the fastest way I can think of on how to decipher and play the melody.
@JobeeTabs eh not really its very easy to find a key of a song by ear, then you can just noodle around in the major scale and will easily figure out the melody. its also quicker and makes you a better musician. A skill isn't a blessing everyone can learn by ear with little or even no practice
I do that but most of the time I count find the perfect note to blend with melody so I just let melody took over but when I do the song doesnt sound good
@@JobertNeilCastro Ein weiterer Deutscher hier :D Danke für das Video. War etwas baff, dass es eigentlich so simpel ist, wenn man die Noten auf dem Griffbrett kennt.
For casual this how you do it Just get the chords on google or wherever Hit the top strings for the base sound to make it sound fuller And the lower strings for the lyrics Most of the lyrics is already in the chords.. just do re mi the strings till you hit the right note As simple as that, add taps and slaps or what the fckng ever you want toae the sound more full as you advance There you have it
not exactly XD the piano has very few factors to master while guitar has one of the hardest techniques for the hand but honestly your technique just gets good automatically if you just practice songs you are confident with
nah they Don't do this lol. experience makes creating fingerstyle easier. especially knowing scales. most popular fingerstyle guitarist have studied in school of music like sungha jung. they definitely know what they are doing.
Yes they don't. Some are blessed to go to music school and majority are not. It also requires years of experience to develop pitch/note recognition . This is the fastest way I can think of on how to decipher and play the melody.
Thats not how you learn it...... fingerstyle requires mastery in your coordination on both hands and reading tabs thats it.😅😅😅😅 just follow how a fingerstylist moves thier fingers

Thought this would be a troll video but damn, it was really helpful
Step 1: Be at least an intermediate guitar player and memorize the fretboard.
There are no shortcuts brother, otherwise any doofus would do it anyday.
@mrgreen3195 That's what I'm saying. When we memorize the whole fretboard only then can we find the closest notes and make fingerstyle easier.
Most fingerstyle guitarists are already intermediate. Every fingerstyle guitarist started playing normal chords. G Em C D.

Nice😊
Thanks 😊
Fingerstyle players play percussion too. Hahahah it is a little bit more complicated.
I guess this is beginner level composing then. When it comes to slaps and wraps and shit then it takes a whole nother level of badassery 😂
the slaps never sound good without good recording devices, it just sound like you hitting the piece of woods
That’s how I did it before, but now I just use my ears to practice songs
Prepare lads, new fingerstyle channel coming soon 🔥😈
That's honestly smart !
I searched it and watch it but there is no any mote written
yes, sometimes some synthesia videos don't show the notes. just google: "Piano notes on Keys" it's very easy to remember.
This is awesome. I never try like this but I will teach to my student.

back in the 90s we just used our ears. this should be a useful tool for new generations of musicians.
OMG this was such a helpful video! Thanks a lot!

Yeah I've been using synthesia for learning song for piano but it could be translated for guitar too
Hi sir i did not understand about corresponding note plz describe in detail.
wait, what if the song I searched didn't have the synthesia version?
Yoo man I was just thinking how to be a good finger style player 🤔
And this video help a lot 🤯
Thanks!.
how can this is in my recommendation after 1 year
This was totally mind blowing i never knew this
The difference between me and you is i don't use that, I'm more comfortable in using my ears and play it on the guitar. Just the melody of every song
At 2 o clock in the morning i just remember i had to learn fingerstyle

I've been learning piano all along.
What about the same chords in different frets how do we understand which comes where ?
When I was a younger, my father took me into the city to see a marching band
damn boy, thats helpful, subsribed make more such actual helpful videos
damn dat's awsom.....❤❤
Next teach us how to do harmonics, hirap na hirap ako doon eh😅😅
That's one of the methods on how to arrange a fingerstyle but it's more ear training if the guitarists know how to cifra

Can you imagine doing this with Patrik Pietschmann or Animenz video?😂
Lol I do this too for my arrangements 😅
How I supposed to know the string?

What about tuning? Some somgs sound better in different tunings than standard

So the secret is transpose from piano to guitar?
@@weebfam1311 you use the word "transpose" in a wrong way.

Please can you teach me how to finger A minor. 😅😂
emo ka ata HAHAHAHA My Chemical Romance. emo ka? sana oo HAHAHAHA
Just know that we do NOT have game. Sure, we can finger, but we don't get to finger 😞
If you somehow want to master fingerstyle
Just find your own play style
But you didn't explain how to add bass notes
Ok but how do you finger A minor
*FBI open up!!!
I thought everyone knew that, 😂
What are these letters? I only know numbers. IYKYK.
what so secret about it

Usually I'm not the person to leave mean comments but it's so bad
Step 1: Just memorize the entire chromatic scales
Filipinoy's kaba bro?
Am an actual fingerstyle guitarist 😂😂and this isn't no secret 😂😂😂😂😂
my favorate way to learn is?
1. listen
2. Learn the bassline
3. Learn the melody
4. COmbite
BAM BAM pow. song learned
you summarized the whole video in 4 steps 🤯
It's not fingerstyle... It's Tabs
Just learn their tabs then.
Why are you using AI voice ?
