Recruiting rankings aren’t everything but they are something. Bama still has the most talented roster when it comes to recruiting. That’s why they are still #5 and could still win every game they play this year.
Agree on M's schedule. People act like it's SO much harder but I don't see it. They add Texas but they don't have to hit PSU. Their road schedule is pretty weak and they are always tough at home. Road outside of us is at Illinois, Indiana and Washington. W would have been tough last year but not this. I think they may face troubles down the road but not this season. I do give them props for keeping transfers at bay which I thought would hit them hard.
I think not being ranked #1 is a plus(team wise),. keeping them from over confidence, and giving them a chip/shoulder, with the need to show the country who they are.
The last time these two teams played Georgia dominated FSU in their bowl game and we crapped the bed against Missouri. That probably has something to do with it.
