$20 million for this effort? Next week, I have no idea what Buckeye team shows up? How is it possible we can go 4 straight years being awful at the inside run. Is there some magic knowledge that even programs like illinois and iowa know that we just can’t replicate at Ohio state in a 4 year era with the most talented athletes in the nation. What’s going on.
Playing well isn’t the problem. Preparation is the problem. You can play well, but if the plans and preparations are bad, you’re just losing pretty, or winning ugly.
Rushing for less than 70 yards with supposedly the best RB duo in the country is hard to understand. Why keep running to the left when the LT is new? Runs to the right seemed to work, especially pitches. And agree that they went away from the pass too soon, though Howard was under pressure a lot. The 4th down call to run the RB rather than Howard under center was unfathomable.
It’s another game the LBs played below average, the CBs were lucky Raiola missed passes and the safety/LB substitutions were dictated by the opponent. Somehow they still find a way to mention the DLine prominently and not the DC who rarely has a plan.
I truly believe the money is the problem and it’s not just Ohio State. It used to be team pride but now I truly believe a lot of the players are worried more about how I look not hey let’s get this done. I think the crowd was great. The defense got better our offense had a bad day. And let’s face it you can blame the coaching especially on offense
Great 👍 Analysis!!!! The Best Analysis from the 3 of you Immediately after a game that I have ever heard 💯🎯 My hope is that Ohio State does actually have a Plan for Penn State. I have a THEORY, I HOPE I am right, that this game was Vanilla ON PURPOSE. I think Ryan Day doesn't want to give away anything to Penn State. I think the Game plan for Penn State will be completely different on Offense and on Defense. Except I do think they will use the down field passing game. That is why we saw it today against Nebraska. They needed to Practice it in a real game not just in Practice. There is a lot Ohio State could have done that they refused to do to get the running game going. I hope to see OSU open up their complete Offense and Defense against Penn State. There is Nothing Left for this Season if OSU loses to Penn State. So they have to use EVERYTHING in their tool box to WIN.
We allowed Nebraska to dictate the whole game, both offensively special teams and even some defense. This is what we do. We don’t do anything with special teams. We don’t try to block a punt block a field goal against the team that had what five blocks this year, we don’t set up any returns, we don’t play with an aggressive mentality when we got the ball back at the end of the game we went through and out and we did a horrible tunnel screen where the quarterback could’ve checked it ran up the middle. I swear the quarterback told Ryan not to run the ball because this is now the second or third quarterback that we complain doesn’t run.
This team is breaking down in every way.....coaches are recruiters and no longer couching. The rationale is get great high school football players and no development will be required.
Didn't go head to head with a quality team and just outplayed them. All the 5 star and high end players aren't making a huge difference. I give up trying to figure out what the disease is.
Stop trying to be nice because you want to keep being invited back and say what needs to be said… This coaching staff is not good enough and it starts at the top! We have a country club mentality with a fan base that averages 60 years old in the stadium
Defense Balled out dont look into that much with this Game Nebraska was embarrassed last week so they had something to prove Buckeyes will beat penn st
I usually don’t buy into the idea that the team is soft. But this season I’m pretty confident in saying this season’s team is soft, emotionally and physically. Afraid we’re gonna lose to both Michigan and Penn St (maybe Indiana)
Something is always off with this Ryan Day team. He doesn’t overcome adversity. When we have injuries he folds. Penn State will absolutely crush this team
Overhyped underperforming. Two great runners and they have no running game. They will lose to Penn State for sure and probably Indiana. We've been snookered by THE Podcast once again.
Recruiting on both lines has been a perennial weakness snice Meyer left. Especially both interior lines. OSU recruits good players on both lines, but none of them are killers, the type of linemen Georgia or Alabama regularly gets. If OSU wants to be a run-first team, they need to recruit as such and not let the big fish get away. Ryan Day's time at OSU is increasingly characterized by "what if". His time is running out b/c at some point the AD and boosters are gonna demand results and not "what if".
What was with the conservative play calling with five minutes left? Two runs up the middle, and a pass into the flat. They have the best receivers in college football. Can they not get open when the game is on the line? And the plays the rest of the game seemed so vanilla. No screen passes, no end around, didn't use the tight ends. How did Indiana manage to score 56 points?
Knowles is so all or nothing. It's either cage rush 4 and try not to give up the big play, or bring the house, nothing in between. Nebraska was gashing us till he finally adjusted. Again, I expect more for 2 million a year.
These are a lot of good points being brought up, but why are these questions not being directly asked to Coach Day (except for Bill). I don't get it. Please ask the tough questions that the fans want to hear.

How is it possible we can go 4 straight years being awful at the inside run. Is there some magic knowledge that even programs like illinois and iowa know that we just can’t replicate at Ohio state in a 4 year era with the most talented athletes in the nation. What’s going on.
IGB needs to be pulled for a while until he learns to stop those penalties.
IGB is a 5 star recruit.
@@angelobrodie9415and he plays like a 3 star.
Playing well isn’t the problem. Preparation is the problem. You can play well, but if the plans and preparations are bad, you’re just losing pretty, or winning ugly.
Complacency is never good
Play around in Penn state
and find out!!!!😡😡😡
Penn State overrated
Need to start hammering him with these questions. Be our voice, I for one would love to ask those questions to all the coaches.
Nebraska fan here, good game
47 offensive plays is an abomination. Zen’s footwork was sad. The only good thing to take from the game were the negative plays by the defense.
Listening to you guys it’s time to cancel the season I guess
They're realists. Delusion is a waste
Ya it’s the fans like you who say “good job team” this team is paid and not delivering
@@orlandobuckeye agree Raiola missed a couple of touchdowns
I truly believe the money is the problem and it’s not just Ohio State. It used to be team pride but now I truly believe a lot of the players are worried more about how I look not hey let’s get this done. I think the crowd was great. The defense got better our offense had a bad day. And let’s face it you can blame the coaching especially on offense
Good thing Osu didn't play Vandy
Great 👍 Analysis!!!! The Best Analysis from the 3 of you Immediately after a game that I have ever heard 💯🎯
My hope is that Ohio State does actually have a Plan for Penn State.
Knew immediately when Simmons went down the championship hopes were over.
Maybe jackson moving to tackle is viable. But the whole line gets blown up.
To say there's no positives is ridiculous; they won when a lose ends their season
Defense Balled out dont look into that much with this Game Nebraska was embarrassed last week so they had something to prove Buckeyes will beat penn st
Hey, someone else is with me! Let’s beat Penn State,👍😎
@@thefireshow1 we will!!!
Day's teams always play crappy after a bye week
I hate to say it, Ryan day is getting fired or someone is. 😮
Very pathetic! Are these players overpaid and overrated? Or are these coaches not able to get the best outta their players!! Something has to give! !
Ryan needs to be fired
For what ?????
YIKES!
Knowles is so all or nothing. It's either cage rush 4 and try not to give up the big play, or bring the house, nothing in between. Nebraska was gashing us till he finally adjusted. Again, I expect more for 2 million a year.
Reese hit is targeting but mhj flag gets picked up 🙄
These are a lot of good points being brought up, but why are these questions not being directly asked to Coach Day (except for Bill). I don't get it. Please ask the tough questions that the fans want to hear.
Im tired of complaining about the players and assistant coaches. This team just plays undisciplined and soft under Ryan Day. Its a mentality that wont change under his leadership.
A not so bold prediction for next week would be the loss OSU is going to have in happy valley!
This Defensive Scheme is not good, what we are doing Defensively won't win the big ten.
